Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tingkat kerapatan lamun, laju sedimentasi dan pengaruh laju sedimentasi terhadap kerapatan lamun di Perairan Beloreng Kelurahan Tembeling Tanjung Kabupaten Bintan. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode survei sebanyak 30 titik menggunakan plot berukuran 1 x 1 meter dan sediment trap. Hasil penelitian ditemukan 5 jenis lamun yaitu, Thalassia hemprichii, Enhalus acoroides, Cymodocea rontundata, Halodule uninervis, dan Halophila decipiens dengan kerapatan berkategori rapat. Laju sedimentasi dengan nilai total sebesar 0,3668 (g/cm2/hari) dengan nilai rata-rata selama sebulan yang mengalami kenaikan setiap minggunya, serta laju volume sedimentasi dengan nilai total 0,1778 (ml/cm2/hari) dan memiliki nilai rata-rata perbulan yang sama. Hasil analisis pengaruh laju sedimentasi terhadap kerapatan lamun di Perairan Beloreng Kelurahan Tembeling Tanjung Kabupaten Bintan dengan hasil 87% kerapatan lamun dipengaruhi oleh laju sedimentasi, dengan hubungan antar variabel bersifat sangat kuat.

Abstract

Zooplankton berperan sebagai penghubung ke produsen ke tingkat trofik lebih tinggi yaitu pada ikan–ikan kecil maupun ikan karnivora. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui keanekaragaman jenis dan struktur komunitas zooplankton di Perairan Pesisir Kota Tanjungpinang. Titik sampling ditentukan menggunakan metode simple random sampling dan menghasilkan 30 titik sampling. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan April–Mei tahun 2021. Pengukuran parameter fisika perairan yang meliputi suhu, DO, pH, salinitas, kecepatan arus, kecerahan air, dan TDS dilakukan secara in situ sedangkan uji analisis yang meliputi kekeruhan, nitrat, fosfat dan kelimpahan zooplankton dilakukan di laboratorium. Pengambilan sampel plankton dilakukan dengan metode statis dan pencacahan dengan metode sensus. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, terdapat 6 jenis dan 2 kelas yaitu kelas Crustacea sebanyak 1 jenis terdiri dari Nauplius sp., dan kelas Hexanauplia sebanyak 5 jenis terdiri dari Microcyclops sp., Oncaea sp., Eucalanus sp., Oithona sp., dan Euterpina sp. Jumlah kelimpahan totalnya mencapai 199,87 Ind/L dengan rata–rata kelimpahan tertinggi 132,45 Ind/L dimiliki oleh jenis Nauplius sp. Indeks keanekaragaman termasuk kategori rendah sedangkan indeks keseragaman dan nilai dominansi berada dalam kategori sedang, hal ini menunjukkan kondisi komunitas zooplankton yang ada di Perairan Pesisir Kota Tanjungpinang berada pada kondisi tertekan.

Abstract

Seagrass has the ability to store carbon by utilizing CO2 to be used as a photosynthesis component which has the potential as blue carbon. This research was aimed to determine density, and biomass in the East and North Coastal Waters of Bintan Island; determine the carbon storage contained in seagrass in the East and North Coastal Waters of Bintan Island; and determine the relationship between density, biomass, and carbon storage in seagrasses in the East and North Coastal Waters of Bintan Island. The research was conducted in Teluk Bakau, Malang Rapat, Berakit, and Pengudang from August 2024 to May 2025. The tools and materials used were 50 × 50 cm2, oven, muffle furnace, shieve net, underwater camera, plastic bag, seagrass samples, and substrate samples. The research procedures was used systematic random sampling method and the sampling design used in determining sampling points was a nested hierarchical design. The method of calculating the value of carbon storage in seagrasses used the Walkley and Black method. The data analysis was carried out by calculating the value of density, biomass; then calculating the value of carbon storage in seagrasses, and testing the relationship between density, biomass, and carbon storage in seagrasses. Density in the eastern region ranged from 284-577 shoot/m2 and in the northern region ranged from 107-816 shoot/m2. Biomass in the eastern region ranged from 39,31-82,99 gr/m2 and in the northern region ranged from 19,39-138,55 gr/m2. Carbon storage in the eastern region ranged from 27,46-31,03% and in the northern region ranged from 23,93-28,30%. The results of the correlation test show that density has a moderate relationship and is directly proportional to biomass with a correlation value of 0.51; density has a very weak relationship and is inversely proportional to carbon storage with a value of -0.09; and biomass has a weak relationship and is inversely proportional to carbon storage with a value of -0.24.

Abstract

Seagrass has high primary productivity and is highly dependent on the availability of nitrogen as the main nutrient that supports growth, photosynthesis, and biomass, including in the waters of Bintan, Indonesia. This research was conducted to determine the density, biomass, and nitrogen content of seagrass, as well as the influence of density and biomass on nitrogen storage to support sustainable conservation management in the Eastern and Northern regions of Bintan Island. The research was conducted from August 2024 to May 2025 by taking seagrass samples using the nested hierarchical design method based on systematic random sampling. Nitrogen measurements are carried out using the Kjeldahl method which converts organic nitrogen into ammonium sulfate. Based on this research, the highest density (816.1 stands/m2) and biomass (138.56 g/m2) of seagrass were in Pengudang. The lowest density and biomass were in Berakit_2 with values of 106.8 stands/m2 and 19.03 g/m2, respectively. The highest nitrogen (0.758%) was found in 2 locations, namely Pengudang and Teluk Bakau_2, while the lowest nitrogen (0.359%) was in Berakit_1. Based on regression analysis, the density and biomass of seagrass had a significant effect on nitrogen storage with a regression value of 0.642.

Abstract

Provinsi Kepulauan Riau memiliki potensi perikanan yang tinggi karena didominasi oleh wilayah perairan dibandingkan daratannya. Potensi perikanan yang tinggi tersebut diantaranya adalah komoditas rajungan. Pandemi covid-19 di seluruh dunia berpengaruh terhadap berbagai sektor, salah satunya sektor perikanan rajungan, sehingga informasi biologi (bioinformasi) dalam masa pandemi ini sangat bermanfaat untuk kegiatan perikanan rajungan berkelanjutan di Kabupaten Bintan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk memberikan bioinformasi terkait rajungan dalam masa pandemi covid-19 di Kabupaten Bintan. Bioinformasi tersebut meliputi distribusi ukuran, pola pertumbuhan, nisbah kelamin jantan dan betina, serta tingkat kematangan gonad rajungan betina di perairan Kawal dan Pengujan. Ukuran lebar karapas rajungan di Kawal berkisar antara 102,2–187,9 mm dan ukuran lebar karapas rajungan di Pengujan berkisar antara 106,3–148,4 mm. Modus kelas lebar karapas ditemukan pada nilai tengah kelas 130 mm (di Kawal) dan 140 mm (di Pengujan). Pola pertumbuhan rajungan baik betina maupun jantan di Kawal dan Pengujan bersifat allometrik negatif. Berdasarkan uji chi square dengan tingkat kepercayaan 95% (α = 0,05), nisbah kelamin rajungan jantan-betina secara umum baik di Kawal maupun di Pengujan pada kondisi yang seimbang. Tingkat kematangan gonad (TKG) pada rajungan betina secara keseluruhan ditemukan mulai dari stadia TKG 1 sampai stadia TKG 4. Di perairan Kawal ditemukan sebesar 67% matang gonad, 22% belum matang gonad, dan 11% berried female. Di perairan Pengujan ditemukan sebesar 31% matang gonad, 63% belum matang gonad, dan 6% berried female.
