Abstract

The purposes of this study is to determine the role of competitiveness toward online drivers’ motivation. The hypotheses of this study is the competitiveness has a role to motivation. The participants for the research was 120 online drivers in Palembang City and the study used quota sample technique. The scales used were the scales of competitiveness and motivation. The data were analyzed using simple regression. The result showed that there is a significant role of competitiveness toward motivation with r = 0,397; F = 22,046 ; p = 0,000 (p <0.05). Thus, the hypothesis of this study is accepted.Key words: Competitiveness, motivation, online driversAbstrak: Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui peran daya saing terhadap motivasi. Hipotesis penelitian yaitu daya saing memiliki peran terhadap motivasi. Responden dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 120 orang pengemudi online di Kota Palembang. Penelitian menggunakan teknik sampel kuota. Skala yang digunakan yaitu skala daya saing dan motivasi. Analisis data menggunakan regresi sederhana. Hasil analisis regresi menunjukkan bahwa daya saing memiliki peran yang signifikan terhadap motivasi dengan nilai r=0,397; F=22,046 dan p=0,000 (p<0,05). Dengan demikian hipotesis pada penelitian ini diterima.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the contribution of work-family conflict and social support in predicting marriage satisfaction. Eighty-seven female workers at Bank X who met the study's criteria, such as frontline worker, married with children; were involved in this study. The participants' age ranges from 22 to 45 years (M = 33.5; SD = 3.589). The researchers used the Work-family Conflict Scale (20 items, α = .879), the Social Support Scale (12 items, α = .927), and the Marriage Satisfaction Scale (38 items, α = .946). The data were analysed with multiple linear regression. The analysis results showed the value of R = .743; F(2, 84) = 51.652, p < .05, and it indicates that there is a significant role of work-family conflict and social support on marital satisfaction. Besides, a value of b = -.960, p < .05, was obtained, and it means that there is a significant role of work-family conflict on marital satisfaction and b = 1.209, p < .05 were found, meaning that there is a significant social support role on marriage satisfaction.

Abstract

The study aims to determine the relationship of between shyness and loneliness in college students whom living in apartment. Participants for this research were 195 Sriwijaya University students, grade of 2016 and 2017, whom living in Apartments Indralaya. They were taken through purposive sampling. The scales used were the loneliness scale based on loneliness responses according to Rubenstein and Shaver (1982) and the scale of shyness based on the characteristics of shyness according to Henderson and Zimbardo (1998). Data analysis used Pearson Product Moment correlation. The pilot study of the measuring scales was conducted with 60 student with same characteristics. The results of the study that there is a significant relationship between shyness and loneliness in students whom living in apartment. Keywords: Shyness, Loneliness, student, apartment

Abstract

Kesalahan dalam memilih jurusan pendidikan tinggi yang sesuai dengan minat dan bakat siswa dapat menyebabkan banyak permasalahan, seperti stress yang berkepanjangan ataupun masalah penyesuaian diri selama proses pendidikan. Salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan mencegah kemungkinan terjadinya kesalahan dalam pemilihan jurusan pendidikan yaitu melalui tindakan psikologis preventif berupa konseling untuk membantu menemukenali minat, bakat dan potensi yang dimiliki oleh siswa, serta membantu siswa untuk menyelesaikan konflik ataupun kebingungan yang dihadapinya selama proses penentuan pendidikan lanjutan setelah masa pendidikan menengah. Pengabdian ini berupa penelitian kuantitatif dengan mengunakan angket sebagai instrumen untuk mengukur efektivitas konseling pemilihan jurusan untuk meningkatkan kematangan karir siswa SMA di Palembang. Peserta konseling sebanyak 30 orang siswa SMA dan sederajat di kota Palembang. Hasil pengisian angket menunjukkan bahwa seluruh peserta (100%) melaporkan telah mendapatkan telah mendapatkan pemahaman yang lebih baik mengenai pilihan jurusan atau karir yang hendak dipilih setelah lulus dari sekolah kelak dan 83,3% siswa telah merasa yakin dengan pilihan jurusan atau karir yang akan dijalani setelah mengikuti konseling minat dan bakat.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana hubungan antara keterlibatan siswa dengan kenakalan remaja pada siswa SMA X Kertapati. Hipotesis yang diajukan dalam penelitian ini ada hubungan antara keterlibatan siswa dengan kenakalan remaja pada siswa SMA X Kertapati. Adapun subjek penelitian yang digunakan ialah siswa SMA X Kertapati berjumlah 205 orang. Keterlibatan siswa dan kenakalan remaja diukur dengan skala keterlibatan siswa dan kenakalan remaja berlandaskan aspek keterlibatan siswa dari Fredericks, Blumenfeld dan Paris (2004) dan aspek kenakalan remaja dari Sarwono (2016). Data penelitian dianalisis dengan menggunakan metode korelasi Spearman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada hubungan antara keterlibatan siswa dengan kenakalan remaja pada siswa SMA X Kertapati dengan nilai r = -0,727, dan p = 0,000 (p<0,05). Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa keterlibatan siswa memiliki hubungan yang sangat kuat, negatif, dan signifikan dengan kenakalan remaja. Dengan demikian hipotesis penelitian yang diajukan dapat di terima

Abstract

Career adaptability is essential for employees at the beginning of their careers because they are required to develop and maintain their job status quickly. This enables them to plan their development, opportunities, and career transitions in the 21st century, characterized by numerous rapid changes. Career adaptability is the capacity of individuals to respond more quickly to stress. A sense of coherence, determined by how an individual copes with their environmental circumstances, is one of the stress-resilient positive psychological characteristics. This study explores the association between early-career employees' feelings of coherence and career adaptability. This study's sample comprised 163 employees in the early stages of their careers, aged 18 to 35. This study demonstrates a correlation between a sense of coherence and career adaptability among early-career employees.

Abstract

The research objective was to determine the role of locus of control toward work-study conflict on Tridinanti University students who work. The major hypothesis, has a role of locus of control toward work-study conflict. The minor hypothesis, has a role internal locus of control toward work-study conflict, and has a role of external locus of control toward work-study conflict. The sample was the Tridinanti University students who work from in the armed forces of 2015, 2016 and 2017 who have time to work at least 20 hours every week as many as 148 people. The scale used is the scale of locus of control from Rotter (1990) and scale of work-study conflict from Markel and Frone (1998). Data analysis is using multiple regression. The result of major hypothesis showed that has a role of locus of control toward work-study conflict with R square = 0,105 and p = 0,000. The result minor hypothesis showed that has a role of internal locus of control toward work-study conflict with p = 0,002 and has a role of external locus of control toward work-study conflict with p = 0,000.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara job insecurity dengan keterlibatan kerja pada karyawan outsourcing di PT. KAI Palembang. Hipotesis dari penelitian ini adalah ada hubungan antara job insecurity dengan keterlibatan kerja pada karyawan outsourcing di PT. KAI Palembang. Subjek penelitian adalah karyawan outsourcing di PT. KAI Palembang yang berjumlah 115 orang. Job insecrurity dan keterlibatan kerja diukur dengan skala job insecurity dan keterlibatan kerja dengan berlandaskan dimensi job insecurity dari Dachapalli dan Parumasur (2012) dan dimensi keterlibatan kerja dari Yoshimura (1996). Hasil data penelitian dianalisis dengan menggunakan metode korelasi Spearman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada hubungan antara job insecurity dengan keterlibatan kerja pada karyawan outsourcing di PT. KAI Palembang dengan nilai r = -0,838, dan p = 0,000 (p<0,05). Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa job insecurity memiliki hubungan yang sangat kuat, negatif, dan signifikan dengan keterlibatan kerja. Dengan demikian hipotesis penelitian yang diajukan dapat diterima.

Abstract

Abstrak. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara place attachment dengan kepuasan hidup pada warga di Sukawinatan yang pemukimannya sangat dekat dengan tempat pembuangan sampah akhir (TPA). Hipotesis pada penelitian ini adalah ada hubungan antara place attachment dengan kepuasan hidup pada warga di Sukawinatan. Penelitian inimenggunakan populasi warga di Sukawinatan sebanyak 200 orang dengan menggunakan teknik incidental. Skala yang digunakan adalah skala kepuasan hidup dan place attachment. Skala kepuasan hidup dimodifikasi dari skala unidimensional kepuasan hidup Diener dkk, (1985). Sedangkan skala place attachment mengacu pada dimensi dari Livingston, Bailey dan Kearns (2008). Hasil penelitian dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik korelasi produk momen.Hasil penelitian nilai signifikansi 0.000 dan nilai korelasi sebesar 0.532. Hal ini menunjukan bahwa place attachment memiliki hubungan yang sifatnya positif dengan kepuasan hidup. Dengan demikian hipotesis yang diajukan diterima. Kata kunci: Kepuasan Hidup, Place Attachment Abstract. The purpose of this study is to identify the relationship between place attachment and life satisfaction of citizens in Sukawinatan. The hypothesis predicts that there is a relationship between place attachment and life satisfaction of citizens in Sukawinatan. The study population was the citizens of Sukawinatan totaling 200 persons, used technique of incidental. Life satisfaction was measured by unidimensional scales that has been modified from Diener, et al (1985). Place attachmet scale was measured with reference the dimensions of place attachmet from Livingston, Bailey and Kearns (2008). Data are analysed with product moment correlation. The result of the correlation analysis is the significancy of 0,000 and a correlation score 0,532. This shows that place attachment has a positive correlation with life satisfaction. Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between work family conflict and psychological well being in medical female civil servants who continue their education. The hypothesis is that there is a relationship between work family conflict and psychological well being in medical female civil servants who continue their education. The sample was 115 female civil servants who continued their education. The study used was purposive sampling technique. The scale used is the scale of work family conflict from Greenhaus & Beutell (1985) and scale of psychological well being from Ryff (1989). Data analysis is using Pearson product moment. The results show there are a relationship between work family conflict and psychological well being in female civil servants who continued their education r = -0,811 and p = 0,000 (p <0.05). This shows that work family conflict has a negative and significant relationship with psychological well being.
