Abstract

This research aims to see the effectiveness of differentiated learning in implementing the independent curriculum on the learning outcomes of state high school students in Limapuluh Kota Regency. The research was conducted at the Limapuluh Kota District High School with research data sources from basic educational data from SMA 1 and SMA 2 Harau, as well as data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) and the Limapuluh Kota Regency Education Office. This research uses Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) multiple linear regression data analysis techniques. The results of the research show that the implementation of learning styles has not significantly influenced learning outcomes, but other X variables, namely teacher competence, school environment, and student personality (IQ and gender), have an influence on student learning outcomes. Meanwhile, students' sociodemographic factors do not influence learning outcomes in certain subjects. The competency of driving teachers influences mathematics learning outcomes and Indonesian language learning outcomes. Apart from that, the boarding school environment also influences student learning outcomes in Indonesian language subjects, economic subjects, and arts and culture subjects. Student personal factors related to the IQ variable also influence student learning outcomes, with a difference in scores of 0.22 in mathematics subjects and 0.18 in economics subjects. Meanwhile, the gender variable influences economic learning outcomes with a score difference of 58.62, where female students have a higher score of 58.62 than male students.

Abstract

This study uses Susenas March 2019 raw data in a cross-section of 34 provinces and 514 districts/cities in Indonesia with a coverage of 315,672 households, designed using a quasi-experiment on the treatment group and control group after program implementation. The treatment group was formed by beneficiary families while the control group was formed by non-beneficiary families. The sample of beneficiaries was 50,485 or 9,845,922 households if calculated with Susenas weighting (65.55% of the total 2019 realization of 15,020,323 national beneficiaries) and non-beneficiaries were 181,358 households. The data were analyzed using a probit regression model and impact estimation was conducted using the Propensity Score Matching (PSM) approach. The results suggest that education level is a bigger determinant for households to become Rastra-BPNT beneficiaries, especially for household heads who did not finish primary school and those who graduated from primary school. Rastra-BPNT food social assistance has a significant and positively correlated impact on beneficiary families with a pattern of food proportion to total expenditure > 50%. There was a shift in the food consumption budget share for Beneficiary Families in several dominant commodities such as grains; eggs and milk; processed food and beverages; and cigarettes, tobacco and betel. The distribution of Rastra-BPNT from November 2018 to February 2019 can reduce the gap between household groups, but there are still errors in the distribution of benefits.

Abstract

This study investigates the unresolved issue of how fertilizer subsidies affect paddy production and farmer income, a critical aspect of Indonesia's agricultural policy that has not been fully understood. By analyzing panel data from 33 provinces between 2019 and 2022 using the Generalized Least Squares (GLS) method, the research explores both income dynamics and productivity. Results reveal that NPK and SP36 fertilizers boost paddy yields by 0.198% and 0.155%, respectively, while UREA and ZA have no significant impact on production. Additionally, rising wages reduce production by 1.343% but increase farmer income by 0.332%. These findings highlight the complexity of balancing productivity with farmer welfare, suggesting that while fertilizer subsidies can enhance yields, they are not a universal solution. Policymakers must consider multifaceted approaches that address both productivity and sustainable income growth to ensure long-term welfare improvements for Indonesian farmers.

Abstract

Stunting is still a health problem in Indonesia, one of the interventions carried out is by Providing Additional Food (PMT). PMT is the provision of additional food to meet the nutritional needs of toddlers. This study aims to assess the effectiveness of PMT in reducing the incidence of stunting and identifying factors that influence the incidence of stunting. Knowing the implementation of government policies and programs related to PMT in Payakumbuh City and proposing improvements or enhancements to be more effective in reducing stunting. The design used in the study was quantitative descriptive with data analysis techniques using the Limited Dependent Variable class with a Logistic Regression model. The population in this study were toddlers who experienced stunting in Payakumbuh City in 2023 who received PMT assistance. The sampling technique was purposive sampling. The results of the study illustrate that the incidence of stunting is significantly influenced by the number of PMT and the family's economic level with p values of 0.031 and 0.018 (<5%). The variables of parental education, medical history, complete basic immunization status, and environmental sanitation have not had a significant effect on reducing stunting, this can be seen from the results of the regression p value greater than 5%. It is recommended that when providing PMT, parents are equipped with knowledge of the benefits and methods of administration and increase monitoring so that PMT is more effective in reducing stunting.Key words: Effectiveness, Stunting, supplementary feeding

Abstract

The understanding that high growth does not guarantee an increase in the welfare of society as a whole is the cause of the increasing popularity of the concept of inclusive growth. inclusive growth is found in Indonesia's National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN) 2015-2019 and RPJMN 2020-2024. This indicates that the Indonesian government is very concerned with more equitable growth. But there is no measure that is able to describe inclusive growth. In empirical studies also still use a variety of measures. For that we try to promote one measure of inclusive growth with a pro-poor growth measure approach. Our measure has proven to be able to explain growth, poverty reduction and inequality better than other measures. We also analyze the determinants of inclusive growth using panel data. We place greater emphasis on the role of low-income communities in inclusive growth.

Abstract

Since 17 August 2019, the Padang City Transportation Agency has implemented a full non-cash payment system for the Trans Padang bus public transportation service. Since the implementation of this policy, Trans Padang Buses no longer accept cash payments. Implementation of non-cash payments in collaboration with BRI using the Brizzi card. The policy of reaping the pros and cons due to the lack of public understanding of the importance of using non-cash payments is one cause of problems in implementing the non-cash payment system. This activity aims to provide education and outreach to the community through student groups regarding the importance of implementing a non-cash payment system in the digital economy era and the transition period towards a cashless society. This activity was carried out at SMK Teknologi Plus, located at Jalan Belanti, Lolong, Padang, which was attended by 125 students. The method used is in the form of socialization. Resource persons for this activity came from three agencies relevant to the activity's objectives, namely from Bank Indonesia, Trans Padang, and representatives from BRI as the issuer of the Brizzi card, which is used as a means of payment for Trans Padang bus services. The socialization activities were warm and full of kinship; even the participants participated enthusiastically.
