Abstract

Background. Effective data management and visualization are essential for fast and informed decision-making in the retail industry. However, traditional data visualization methods are often less interactive and need help comprehensively conveying information. Augmented Reality (AR) offers great potential to improve visualizing data, allowing users to interact with data more intuitively and dynamically. Purpose. This research aims to integrate Augmented Reality technology with Management Information Systems (MIS) in retail, focusing on improving data visualization. The main objective is to evaluate the effectiveness of AR in presenting complex data more clearly and interactively to enhance the quality of decision-making in retail management. Method. The research method used is application development and testing. First, an AR application integrated with MIS is developed using an iterative software development approach. Once the application is created, testing is done in a retail environment. Qualitative and quantitative data were collected through observations, interviews, and surveys to evaluate the effectiveness and acceptability of this technology. Results. Research results show that integrating AR with MIS significantly improves how retail managers visualize and understand data. AR applications enable more interactive and easy-to-understand data visualization, which helps managers analyze trends and make better decisions. Users report improvements in decision-making efficiency and accuracy after using this app. Conclusion. Integration of Augmented Reality with Management Information Systems in retail has proven effective in improving data visualization. This technology not only makes data more accessible and understandable but also enhances user interaction with the data, leading to more informed decision-making. This research suggests a more comprehensive application of AR technology in the retail industry to support better and more efficient management.

Abstract

Background. Interactive digital art exhibitions have emerged as a significant trend in the intersection of technology and fine arts. These exhibitions leverage digital tools and technologies to enhance public engagement, offering immersive experiences that traditional art displays often lack. With the rise of digital technologies, there is a growing interest in understanding how interactive elements influence the way audiences engage with art and how such exhibitions can make art more accessible to a wider audience. Purpose. This study aims to investigate the impact of interactive digital art exhibitions on public engagement, focusing on how technology can be utilized to create more immersive and participatory experiences for art viewers. Method. A mixed-methods approach was employed, combining quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews with visitors of interactive digital art exhibitions. Data were collected from three art galleries hosting such exhibitions, with a sample of 200 participants. The study analyzed engagement levels, visitor feedback, and the role of technology in enhancing the art experience. Results. Findings indicate that interactive digital art exhibitions significantly increase visitor engagement, with 85% of participants reporting a deeper connection with the artwork. Technology, particularly interactive displays and virtual reality, was identified as a key factor in improving the audience’s overall experience. Conclusion. Interactive digital art exhibitions offer a novel approach to engaging the public in fine arts, making art more dynamic and accessible. The integration of technology enhances visitor interaction and creates more memorable and impactful experiences.

Abstract

Background. The rapid advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has significantly transformed various sectors, including public governance. In the face of increasing demands for efficiency, transparency, and citizen-centric services, governments around the world are turning to AI to reimagine the structure and delivery of public services. Purpose. This research explores how AI technologies are being integrated into public governance systems to drive innovation, enhance administrative performance, and foster participatory governance. The objective of this study is to analyze the extent to which AI-powered tools contribute to the modernization of public service delivery and to identify the challenges and ethical considerations arising from this transformation. Method. This study employs a qualitative research approach using a systematic literature review method. A comprehensive analysis of academic articles, policy reports, and case studies was conducted, focusing on AI applications in public service innovation across multiple countries. Results. The results reveal that AI has played a pivotal role in automating administrative tasks, improving data-driven decision-making, and enabling predictive services. However, the implementation of AI also introduces concerns regarding algorithmic transparency, data privacy, and accountability. Conclusion. The study concludes that while AI holds immense potential to reshape public governance and stimulate service innovation, its success depends on the alignment of technological capabilities with inclusive policy frameworks and ethical standards. Future governance models must prioritize human oversight, regulatory compliance, and equitable access to ensure sustainable innovation.

Abstract

Background. The rapid advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and automation has revolutionized various industries globally, including Indonesia’s manufacturing sector. The integration of these technologies has raised concerns about their impact on employment, particularly regarding job displacement and skill requirements. While AI and automation offer opportunities for increased productivity and efficiency, they also pose challenges for workers, especially in a developing economy like Indonesia. Purpose. This study aims to explore the sociological impact of AI and automation on employment in Indonesia’s manufacturing sector, focusing on the potential changes in the labor market, skill gaps, and social implications for workers. Method. The research employs a mixed-methods approach, combining both qualitative and quantitative techniques. Surveys were conducted with workers in the manufacturing industry, and in-depth interviews with industry experts and sociologists were also carried out. Data was analyzed using thematic coding for qualitative data and statistical analysis for quantitative data to examine the relationship between technological advancements and employment trends. Results. The findings indicate that AI and automation are contributing to job displacement, especially for low-skilled workers, while creating new opportunities for highly skilled labor in areas such as robotics maintenance and data analysis. However, there is a significant gap in workers’ ability to adapt to new technologies due to insufficient training and education. Conclusion. The study concludes that there is a need for strategic policies focused on reskilling and upskilling the workforce to mitigate the adverse effects of automation on employment.
