Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this research is to develop ethnics-based science learning modules that have the feasibility to be used after validation. The research method uses the Borg & Gall development model which consists of 8 stages, namely a preliminary study stage, a research planning stage, a design development stage, a limited field test stage, a revised stage of the results of a limited field test stage, a broad trial phase, a revision stage of the trial results from wider field and the final product stage. This research is limited to the develop stage, namely the feasibility of the module. The instrument used was a questionnaire for module eligibility. The research subjects were 3 lecturers of Islamic religious institutes consisting of 1 language expert lecturer, 1 material expert lecturer, and 1 media expert lecturer. The data from the questionnaire analysis by calculating the percentage of achievement in each component of the percentage of achievement criteria for the feasibility of learning modules based on ethnics-based science developed is suitable for use with a percentage of 88%, 77.5%, 87.5% (very feasible, feasible, and very feasible categories). From the results of these data, it can be concluded that the module is feasible to be used as teaching material in supporting the teaching and learning process on environmental pollution material.

Abstract

E-modules are teaching materials that are considered innovative for learning. as an innovative teaching material, the e-module should be developed by the teacher himself to suit the character of the students and the learning methods to be used. the objectives of this study are four, namely: to find out how the level of needs analysis for the e-module science media as a medium for learning science material on the structure and function of plant tissue for class viii smp/mts, to find out how the prototype of the development of the e-module ipa as a medium for learning science material structure and the function of plant tissue for class viii smp/mts, to find out how the results of expert validation of the e-module science media as a science learning media material on the structure and function of plant tissue for class viii smp/mts, to find out how students respond to the e-module ipa as a medium learning science on the structure and function of plant tissue for class viii smp/mts, to find out how the e-module of science is suitable as a medium for learning science on the structure and function of plant tissue for class viii smp this research was conducted in a junior high school 6 bengkulu city in april 2021. the method used in this study was the research & development (r&d) method of development. validation carried out by material experts, linguists and media/design experts as well as validation by a science teacher showed that the product developed was very feasible to use. the results of this study indicate that the e-module is suitable for use in teaching and learning activities in schools.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the denotative and connotative meanings in several poems that highlight themes of life's struggles, sadness, and hope, while understanding the messages contained within these poems through the perspectives of two language experts, Mr. Alfian and Ms. Yuli. The research method used is qualitative interviews with two language professors who interpret the poems based on their denotative and connotative meanings, along with an analysis of five poems that depict emotional experiences and challenges in life. The research results indicate that each poem contains profound and complex meanings, with themes of resilience, loneliness, and hope; both experts agree that these poems imply the importance of introspection, emotional support, and acceptance of life’s circumstances, highlighting that despite facing difficulties, individuals still have the ability to rise and continue living with optimism. Conclusion, poetry serves not only as a form of artistic expression but also as a powerful medium for conveying life messages, with a message emphasizing the importance of self-care, accepting support, and maintaining optimism even in challenging times. Additionally, understanding denotative and connotative meanings helps readers delve deeper into the human experiences represented in poetry. Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to describe the forms of expressive speech acts and commissive speech acts in the first presidential debate of the 2024 presidential candidates of the Republic of Indonesia, as seen on the TV One News YouTube channel. The method used in this research is qualitative descriptive. The data source for this study is a video from the TV One News YouTube channel, which contains speech acts expressed by the presidential candidates during the first debate, downloaded via YouTube. The data obtained consists of the forms of expressive and commissive speech acts in the first presidential debate of the 2024 presidential candidates on the TV One News YouTube channel. Data collection techniques include observation, note-taking, and documentation, with data analysis involving data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing or verification. The results of the study show that the forms of expressive speech acts consist of 8 utterances: thanking, apologizing, expressing anger, complaining, criticizing, praising, mocking, and congratulating. Among these 8 forms, 56 instances of expressive speech acts were found. The forms of commissive speech acts consist of 5 utterances: promising, intending, vowing, offering, and swearing. From these 5 forms, 26 instances of commissive speech acts were identified in the debate. In conclusion, there are 8 forms of expressive speech acts, which are thanking, apologizing, congratulating, complaining, praising, expressing anger, mocking, and criticizing, and 5 forms of commissive speech acts, which are promising, intending, vowing, offering, and swearing. Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to examine the use of curse words in the Serawai language in Tebat Gunung Village, Semidang Alas District, Seluma Regency. The study focuses on the forms and meanings of curse terms used by the local community, thereby contributing to a broader understanding of language as a medium for expressing ideas and thoughts in accordance with linguistic norms. The method employed is qualitative research with a descriptive approach, aiming to deeply and comprehensively understand the studied phenomenon. The results show that curse words remain a significant part of daily communication among the Serawai community. These words are used in emotional contexts, such as insults or mockery, as well as in joking contexts. A total of 60 curse words were identified during the study in Tebat Gunung Village. In conclusion, curse words in the Serawai language reflect the unique cultural habits of the local community, which should be viewed in their social and cultural context. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi metode pembelajaran menggunakan aplikasi Liveworksheets dalam materi Puisi Modern di kelas VIII SAAD MTs Nur Rahma Kota Bengkulu serta mengidentifikasi kendala yang dihadapi oleh guru dan siswa selama proses pembelajaran berlangsung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Subjek dalam penelitian ini meliputi guru mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia dan siswa kelas VIII SAAD. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan aplikasi Liveworksheets memberikan dampak positif dalam meningkatkan minat, keterlibatan, dan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi puisi modern. Fitur interaktif seperti drag-and-drop, isian teks, dan koreksi otomatis membantu siswa memahami unsur-unsur puisi secara kontekstual dan menyenangkan. Guru juga lebih mudah dalam menyusun bahan ajar yang menarik serta melakukan evaluasi pembelajaran secara efisien. Namun demikian, implementasi aplikasi ini juga menghadapi beberapa kendala seperti keterbatasan perangkat teknologi, akses internet yang belum merata, serta kompetensi digital guru yang masih perlu ditingkatkan. Meski demikian, kendala tersebut dapat diatasi melalui pelatihan, dukungan institusi, dan pengembangan infrastruktur digital. Secara keseluruhan, aplikasi Liveworksheets terbukti menjadi media pembelajaran yang efektif, inovatif, dan relevan dalam menunjang pembelajaran abad ke-21, khususnya dalam materi Puisi Modern di madrasah.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji sosiologi sastra dalam buku Retorika Kias Sindir dalam Masyarakat Suku Melayu Bengkulu karya Vebbi Andra, dengan fokus pada tiga dimensi utama: etika, sosial, dan budaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi pustaka. Buku dianalisis sebagai teks sastra yang memuat nilai-nilai sosial masyarakat Melayu Bengkulu melalui bentuk komunikasi kias sindir. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat total 15 aspek etika, yang terbagi menjadi 5 etika tanggung jawab, 5 etika hati nurani, dan 5 etika hak dan kewajiban. Selain itu, ditemukan pula 15 aspek sosial yang mencerminkan interaksi sosial, struktur kelompok, dan dinamika konflik sosial yang dibungkus dalam sindiran halus. Sementara itu, 12 aspek budaya teridentifikasi melalui bahasa, adat istiadat, sistem religi, dan nilai-nilai lokal yang hidup dalam masyarakat Melayu Bengkulu. Retorika kias sindir berperan sebagai sarana penyampaian kritik sosial, pesan moral, serta alat pelestarian budaya. Tradisi ini merepresentasikan identitas masyarakat Melayu Bengkulu dan berfungsi menjaga kesantunan dan keharmonisan sosial. Dalam era globalisasi, pelestarian kias sindir melalui karya sastra menjadi penting untuk menjaga eksistensi nilai-nilai budaya lokal. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi dalam pengembangan kajian sosiologi sastra dan dapat dimanfaatkan dalam pembelajaran sastra lokal berbasis budaya.

Abstract

The concept of learning speaking skills was urgently discussed to become a cornerstone in practice. Many students do not understand correctly the concept of speaking Arabic which is the characteristic of someone who is proficient in Arabic. The purpose of this study was to analyze the idea of Mohammed Mohammed Imam Daoud in learning speaking skills in Arabic Language. A qualitative descriptive method was used as the research design. Data analysis techniques included formulating research problems, conducting literature studies, determining units of observation and units of analysis, creating categorization and coding guidelines, coding data, and processing data. The results of the research that the ability to be tired of the meanings of the soul in different approvals and the ability to use vocabulary in the social context. The method of speaking skill was according to Muhammad Daoud's approach to listening skill and speaking skill. Adab of learning the speaking skills are fidelity, seriousness in training, and continuous, so the learners would be skillful. The information would make knowledge but training and practice would create skill cooperation with the teacher and colleagues and humility in their  lives. The key of success in speaking can also be done with the application of Arabic in the language environment. Muhammad Imam Dawood's idea of teaching speaking skills was important for developing the quality of learning speaking skills at the primary, intermediate and advanced levels.  The application of Arabic in practice would increase the fluently in speaking performance.

Abstract

Kesulitan membaca pada anak disleksia merupakan tantangan utama dalam proses pembelajaran di Sekolah Luar Biasa. Anak disleksia seringkal mengalami hambatan seperti membaca lambat, kebingungan membedakan huruf, dan kesulitan memahami isi teks. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pendekatan pengajaran guru dalam mengatasi kesulitan membaca pada anak disleksia di SLB Amal Mulia Kota Bengkulu. Jenis kajian yang digunakan bersifat kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan individual menjadi strategi utama yang diterapkan guru. Pendekatan ini dilakukan dengan menyesuaikan metode pembelajaran sesuai kebutuhan masing-masing anak, menerapkan pembelajaran berbasis multisensori, serta memberikan dukungan emosional selama proses belajar. Guru juga memanfaatkan media visual dan aktivitas motorik untuk memperkuat pemahaman huruf dan kata. Selain itu, faktor pendukung seperti pelatihan guru dan peran guru pendamping khusus berperan penting dalam keberhasilan pembelajaran. Tetapi, hambatan seperti keterbatasan fasilitas, kurangnya pelatihan profesional, dan minimnya pemahaman guru terhadap pendekatan inklusif masih menjadi kendala yang mendasar. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pendekatan individual yang diterapkan secara konsisten dan adaptif mampu meningkatkan kemampuan membaca anak disleksia. Dukungan berkelanjutan dari pihak sekolah dan keluarga sangat diperlukan untuk menciptakan pembelajaran yang lebih efektif dan inklusif.

Abstract

This study examines how personality is textually constructed in Ria Ricis’s Bukan Buku Nikah and how such construction organizes readers’ moral alignment and narrative engagement. Using a qualitative content analysis (QCA) of the full text, we defined the unit of analysis as discrete utterances or narrated actions that index a stable disposition, developed and iteratively refined a rule-governed codebook, and employed two trained coders who independently coded the corpus before adjudication; intercoder agreement was assessed with Krippendorff’s alpha (α), and an audit trail of codebook versions, memos, and decisions was maintained. Results identified 21 coded instances across eight personality aspects, with good and diligent/industrious each comprising 33% of observations (66% combined), while sympathetic accounted for 9% and five low-frequency categories helpful, dishonest, tenacious, jealous/possessive, and bad each appeared at 5%. Trait distributions clustered by character function: focal figures accumulated prosocial traits, whereas ambivalent cues surfaced briefly as plot catalysts without crystallizing into stable dispositions. These patterns indicate a choreographed “prosocial-effort” profile in which virtue is performed repeatedly in public-facing scenes to stabilize identification, and episodic ambivalence introduces tension that resolves toward didactic clarity. The study contributes a reliability-reported, replicable template for personality-focused literary analysis of Indonesian popular/hybrid prose and clarifies how moral didacticism is structurally distributed at the scene level. Educators can use scene-anchored excerpts to teach actionable social scripts of “performed virtue,” and researchers can align inductive trait maps with standardized personality frameworks and incorporate reader-response measures to test cross-text generalizability and reception effects.
