Abstract

Implementation of Community Service (PKM) themed Socialization of Earthquake and Tsunami Disaster Mitigation for Teachers and Students of SMAN Bina Insani, Tangerang Banten has been carried out. The purpose of this activity is to find out the impact of socialization which is carried out based on the Likert scale. The method used in this research is to provide a pre-socialization questionnaire to see the respondents' initial knowledge regarding the earthquake and tsunami disaster, then proceed with the presentation of material related to the earthquake and tsunami disaster through zoom and finally given another socialization questionnaire to see the extent of the benefits from this socialization. So based on the socialization questionnaire, the results showed that 39% of respondents often heard about earthquakes; 57% of respondents never find out the causes of earthquakes; 63% of respondents rarely find out about the mechanisms of damage caused by earthquakes; 53% of respondents never find out about tips and handling in case of an earthquake nearby; 61% of respondents rarely heard about the tsunami; 61% of respondents never found out the cause of the tsunami; 63% of respondents rarely hear tsunami early warnings; 64% of respondents rarely find out tips for handling if a tsunami occurs nearby. and after the socialization was held it was found that 96% of respondents felt that this socialization activity was very useful to increase their knowledge regarding earthquakes and 97% of respondents felt that this socialization activity was very useful to increase their knowledge regarding the tsunami.

Abstract

The Trisakti University Community Service Program (PKM) was carried out in Cisarua Village, Nanggung District, Bogor Regency, West Java, in collaboration with the local Regional Government. Stakeholder partners served as facilitators for this project, which aimed to socialize and establish sustainable mining practices for miners and communities around gold mines. Cisarua Village, located in Nanggung Regency, is known for having potential mineral resources, particularly gold deposits, which are often collected by mining communities both individually and collectively. However, this mining activity has major negative effects, leading the government to stop it, one of which being its damaging environmental impact. Environmental issues and land conditions following gold mining provide significant risks and concerns, including mercury and cyanide contamination, which are harmful to human life and the surrounding environment. One of the most significant issues has been the lack of reclamation of mine holes caused by human mining activity. Based on these issues, the team demonstrated the public on good and correct mining practices (GMP). The team is collaborating with local communities and governments to develop ways to predict future implications of gold mining activities. PKM activities are carried out by offering materials and discussions that have proven effective in developing community knowledge. The survey of 25 respondents showed that a greater understanding of good mining practices. Survey results show that previously 61% of respondents did not understand about GMP. After implementing education and training through PKM, there was an increase of 11% in understanding of GMP. This shows the effectiveness of the program in increasing awareness and knowledge about good and correct mining practices among participants.

Abstract

The Cuckoo Search (CS) is a very fast and efficient global optimization method to locating the slip surface which carried out by iteration. However, the Grid Search (conventional method) method in 3D slope stability analysis takes longer than this method on the computation process. Slope stability analysis was performed using the 3D limit equilibrium method “Bishop” with Cuckoo Search of slip surface by maximizing iteration of the simulation and columns in X or Y. To ensure that the slip surface within the global minimum slip surface, the maximum iteration in CS was also specified from 40 to 1200. Based on maximum columns in X or Y, the safety factor value of the 3D CS results was then compared to the Grid Search results to determine the final 3D safety factor and the estimated volume of potential failure. The final 3D safety factor obtained from the average 3D safety factor (with maximum iteration 400, 800, 1000, and 1200) is about 2,01 with the average estimated volume of slope failure of 190.000 m3 that located at the north of the pit.

Abstract

PT Freeport Indonesia (PTFI) adalah perusahaan pertambangan yang beroperasi di daerah terpencil Pegunungan Jayawijaya Papua, dan berjarak sekitar 3.500 km sebelah timur Jakarta, Indonesia.Cakupan area operasi penambangan yang terbentang dari dataran tinggi hingga dataran rendah berkaitan erat dengan kondisi jalan dan perubahan cuaca yang ekstrim. Selain tantangan alam tersebut, perilaku pengemudi kendaraan ringan yang tidak aman juga menjadi salah satu faktor penyumbang yang signifikan terhadap risiko terjadinya kecelakaan kendaraan ringan. Penerapan program teknologi pemantauan kendaraan ringan merupakan salah satu program keselamatan kerja di PTFI dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran berkendaraan sekaligus mendorong perubahan perilaku yang aman. Tulisan ini menjelaskan latar belakang, penerapan, tantangan yang dihadapi, hasil, dan potensi perbaikan di masa mendatang dari program ini untuk memastikan keselamatan pekerja di daerah operasi PTFI.

Abstract

Geostatistic is a statistical tool used in the mining sector to estimate and classify mining resources at a specific location. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the distribution or model of nickel resources, as well as estimate and classify nickel resources using a geostatistical approach. This study used data from exploration drilling at one of the nickel mining concessions in Sulawesi, Indonesia. The data set included 464 drill holes with an average distance of 50–100 m. The initial stage in this study was to develop a geological model, followed by descriptive statistical analysis, with the results of the variance coefficient ranging from 0.5 to 1.5 and normal distribution, indicating that the ordinary kriging method can be used and is considered adequate to produce sound and consistent findings. The values obtained from the variogram analysis on the spherical model will be used as parameters in the ordinary and efficiency kriging processes. Based on the estimation and classification of nickel resources using ordinary and efficiency kriging, the total measured, indicated, and inferred nickel resources are 39, 1.25, and 3 million tons, respectively, with an average Ni content of 1.16%.

Abstract

Pada satu bulan, target produksi batu gamping pada suatu tambang batu gamping sebesar 857.368 ton namun produksi aktual batu gamping tidak tercapai yaitu 699.567 ton. Permasalahan yang terjadi ini disebabkan rendahnya nilai produktivitas alat gali muat, produktivitas alat gali muat merupakan faktor penting dalam mencapai target produksi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah melakukan Peningkatan nilai produktivitas alat gali muat yang digunakan dalam kegiatan produksi batu gamping sehingga dapat meningkatkan produksi batu gamping. Metodelogi yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah dengan mencari faktor yang mempengaruhi produktivitas alat gali muat. Penelitian dilakukan dengan waktu pengambilan selama 2 minggu, didapatkan produktivitas alat gali muat sebesar 1.232,88 ton/jam, kemudian dengan meningkatkan efisiensi kerja pada alat gali muat, didapat peningkatan produktivitas alat gali muat menjadi 1.721,43 ton/jam. Peningkatan produktivitas alat gali muat yang dilakukan dengan meningkatkan efisiensi kerja membuktikan dapat meningkatkan produksi batu gamping. Pada bulan November target produksi batu gamping sebesar 857.368 ton/bulan, dengan upaya perbaikan yang dilakukan nilai produksinya menjadi sebesar 1.097.988,45 ton/bulan memenuhi nilai target produksi batu gamping pada bulan November.
