Abstract

Oyster mushroom cultivation is usually done in the highlands which have very low temperatures, while in the lowlands it is cultivated in mushroom houses that have set the temperature and humidity. The manufacture of mushroom houses in this study can regulate temperature and humidity automatically with physical conditions that are in accordance with oyster mushroom cultivation, so that this system can be implemented in mushroom farmers. This research aims to make a prototype and measure the performance of an automatic-based white oyster mushroom house (pleurotus ostreatus). To fulfill the design, the tool manufacturing process is carried out. The procedure for making tools is carried out through stages, consisting of: preparation of tools and materials, design procedures, making design drawings, namely structural and functional designs and the last is product testing. Based on the results of the tool testing, a description of the functional test results using the DHT22 sensor calibration with a hygrometer measuring instrument, obtained a percentage error of 1.58% and an average humidity of 14.08%. Thus, all components of the tool used can function properly such as water pumps, microcontrollers, mini ac and LCD. While the results of field testing show that the average mushroom growth is 7 cm and 8 cm in diameter for 3 weeks. These results indicate that the growth of oyster mushrooms in mushroom houses grows well.

Abstract

Sweet potato has the potential to be developed as a source of raw material for making flour to substitute the use of wheat flour. The sweet potatoes used in this study as flour were sweet potatoes with purple flesh. Processing of purple sweet potato into flour can be done through the drying process. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of the temperature used in the cabinet dryer on the rate of degradation of the nutritional components and bioactive components of purple sweet potato during the flouring process. Purple sweet potato is cleaned and made into chips with a size of ± 2 mm and then dried in a cabinet dryer. The variables in this study were temperature (50 ºC, 55 ºC, 60 ºC) and drying time (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 hours). Each treatment was repeated 3 times and observed for water content, total sugar, reducing sugar, beta-carotene, anthocyanins, polyphenols, and antioxidant activity. Data were analyzed using a Completely Randomized Factorial Design followed by Duncan's Test. The results showed that temperature and drying time had a significant effect on the nutritional and bioactive components of purple sweet potato during the drying process. A temperature of 60 ºC can be recommended as one of the temperatures used to dry purple sweet potatoes with a drying time of 5 hours. At this temperature and drying time, the anthocyanin content and antioxidant activity still have their biological properties. The characteristics of purple sweet potato slices in this treatment were 9.62% water content, 0.84% total sugar, 0.52% reducing sugar, 0.74% beta-carotene, 25.25% anthocyanins, 4.93% polyphenols, and 2.29% antioxidant activity.

Abstract

Abstrak: Pengelolaan air kolam ikan lele untuk meminimalisir gas amonia menjadi salah satu masalah prioritas yang perlu ditangani melalui program Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat untuk mengoptimalkan kegiatan budidaya ikan lele pada mitra. Budidaya ikan lele sistem akuaponik dapat memproduksi sayur dan ikan dalam satu siklus panen, sehingga mitra akan mendapatkan dua keuntungan dalam satu tahap produksi. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah memberikan solusi dalam memanfaatkan kolam budidaya ikan lele sebagai sumber pangan hayati dan sumber penghasilan tambahan melalui teknologi akuaponik. Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini dilaksanakan dengan metode pendampingan dan alih teknologi secara berkala melalui penyuluhan, pelatihan, dan eksperimen terpadu. Pelaksanaan kegiatannya terbagi menjadi 3 tahapan utama, yaitu persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan monev (monitoring dan evaluasi). Pengukuran peningkatan pengetahuan ini dilakukan melalui pretest sebelum penyampaian materi dan posttest setelah penyampaian materi serta praktek dilakukan. Secara umum, pelaksanaan pengabdian kepada mitra telah meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan yang dimiliki oleh mitra sasaran yang dapat ditinjau berdasarkan rata-rata total skor responden meningkat sebesar 23,25.Abstract: Water management of catfish ponds to minimize ammonia gas is one of the priority problems that need to be addressed through the Community Service program to optimize catfish farming activities in partners. Aquaponic system catfish farming can produce vegetables and fish in one harvest cycle, so that partners will get two benefits in one production stage. The purpose of this community service activity is to provide solutions in utilizing catfish farming ponds as a source of biological food and a source of additional income through aquaponic technology. This community service activity is carried out using the method of assistance and technology transfer periodically through counseling, training, and integrated experiments. The implementation of activities is divided into 3 main stages, namely preparation, implementation, and monitoring and evaluation. Measurement of knowledge improvement is carried out through pretest before the delivery of material and posttest after the delivery of material and practice is carried out. In general, the implementation of community service to partners has increased the knowledge and skills possessed by target partners which can be reviewed based on the average total score of respondents increased by 23.25.

Abstract

Abstrak – Pembelajaran berbasis proyek atau Project Based Learning (PJBL) merupakan salah satu konsep dalam implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka. PJBL merupakan hal yang penting dalam upaya pengembangan karakter siswa, karena memberikan kesempatan bagi mereka untuk belajar melalui pengalaman secara langsung (experiential learning). Hasil belajar dari penerapan PJBL tersebut diukur dalam sebuah asesmen pembelajaran, guna mengukur tingkat capaian dan perkembangan belajar siswa. Namun demikian masih terdapat kendala bagi para guru dalam penyusunan instrumen asesmen pembelajaran berbasis proyek, seperti yang dialami guru-guru di Sekolah Yayasan Kemala Bhayangkari Makassar. Oleh karena itu kegiatan pengabdian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan penyusunan instrumen asesmen pembelajaran berbasis proyek sebagai bentuk implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilakukan dalam beberapa tahapan, yaitu tahapan koordinasi, pelatihan, dan evaluasi. Hasil dari kegiatan ini telah memberikan peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan bagi para peserta dalam menyusun instrumen asesmen pembelajaran berbasis proyek. Hal tersebut diindikasikan dari peningkatan nilai evaluasi dalam bentuk pretest dan post-test serta respon peserta pelatihan, dengan hasil yang sangat baik. Hasil yang diperoleh dari kegiatan pelatihan ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kinerja para peserta dalam melaksanakan kegiatan pembelajaran berbasis proyek di sekolahnya masing-masing.Kata kunci: Guru, Penilaian, Proyek.

Abstract

The yard is part of the house that is multifunctional and can provide positive benefits and can even support the needs of the family. One of the productive activities in the yard is to cultivate vegetables. However, most of the yards in coastal villages, such as Laikang Village, have not maximized their function and it is difficult to cultivate vegetables. As a solution, a method is needed to support plant cultivation activities in Laikang Village. This service activity aims to provide cultivation training and the manufacture of hydroponic and verticulture installations for groups of housewives in Laikang Village. This community service activity is carried out using the rapid rural appraisal (RRA) and participatory learning and action (PLA) methods, with the stages of activity in the form of presentation of material related to the theme of the activity, demonstration and direct practice by participants, mentoring, and evaluation. From the series of activities, it can be seen that the people of Laikang Village are very enthusiastic and interested in the technology introduced. This is indicated by the high level of participation and activeness of the participants. In addition, there has been a change in the behavior of the Laikang Village community to take advantage of their previously poorly maintained yard, but has now become a productive yard. This vegetable cultivation activity is also still being continued by the participants independently after the training activities, which indirectly indicates the mastery of knowledge and skills, as well as the achievement of the main goals of service activities.

Abstract

Layonga Galung is one of the hamlets in Batulaya Village, Tinambung District, one of the sub-districts in Polewali Mandar Regency, West Sulawesi. The first stage of this service activity is conducting observations. Through observations, the people in Layonga Galung Hamlet know to work as livestock breeders and farmers. The public hopes information about animal feed can increase the productivity of livestock, cattle and goats. The solution to the problem offered in this activity is making fermented animal feed. Activities are carried out through counseling methods and providing materials, demonstrations, mentoring, and evaluation. The main ingredients used are leaves and plants, it has been used as animal feed in this village. Diluted brown sugar is used as a carbon source for Probio-7 microbes. The fermentation process was microaerophilically using a tarpaulin or bucket as a fermentation container, fermentation is carried out for two weeks. Based on the evaluation, the community in Layonga Galong Hamlet has been able to make fermented animal feed independently.

Abstract

The demand for education in the 4.0 era requires that the learning process be able to implement a digital-based learning. System. Strategies in teaching are needed to improve student learning outcomes, one strategy that can be used is the mind mapping method. Through the mind mapping method, students will quickly understand the learning material so that the learning process can be carried out effectively and meet the learning objectives. The aim of this service activity is to improve the ability of Bhayangkari Makassar Middle School teachers in increasing understanding and application of mind mapping learning media. With this training, it is hoped that Kemala Bhayangkari Middle School teachers will be able to apply mind mapping in the learning process. This activity is carried out based on three stages, namely: (1) preparation, (2) activity stage and (3) evaluation stage. The results obtained by the PKM team of the PTP Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, were that the Kemala Bhayangkara Middle School teachers were able to apply the Mind Mapping learning method. This can be seen from the participants' enthusiasm in understanding and applying mind mapping. This training will also provide benefits especially for students in terms of learning methods. Improving the quality of learning will be better and not always conventional.

Abstract

Seeding is one of the factors that influences plant growth. In general, sowing requires more attention because plant seeds are very sensitive to external factors such as humidity in the planting medium, environmental temperature, exposure to sunlight and pests. In this way, farmers are required to carry out direct control during the sowing process. Therefore, a system or tool is needed in the sowing process to improve the quality of the seeds produced and can reduce the time used to control the seeds during sowing. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of using automatic seedling tools on seed growth in a hydroponic system. This type of research includes quantitative research with experimental research methods using Completely Randomized Design (CRD). The results of this study indicate that sowing using automatic seedling tools has an effect on the height of mustard greens and pakcoy plants, but has no effect on the number of leaves and root length. Seed yields that had been sown conventionally were better than seed yields on automatic seedling devices because automatic seedling experienced etiolation.

Abstract

Bahan ajar merupakan seperangkat alat pembelajaran yang mencakup materi pembelajaran, metode dan model pembelajaran, serta evaluasi pembelajaran yang disusun dan didesain secara sistematis untuk mencapai tujuan pembelajaran yang akan dicapai. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui kebutuhan bahan ajar mahasiswa pada mata kuliah Biologi Sel. Penelitian ini dilakukan di prodi pendidikan biologi di Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar yang melibatkan sebanyak 48 orang mahasiswa yang sementara memprogram mata kuliah biologi sel dan mahasiswa yang telah memprogram mata kuliah biologi sel. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu angket kebutuhan bahan ajar dan instrumen wawancara kepada dosen pengampu mata kuliah biologi sel. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian mahasiswa menggunakan internet sebagai sumber belajar dan  bentuk bahan ajar yang dibutuhkan mahasiswa pada perkuliahan biologi sel berupa bahan ajar digital. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa bahan ajar yang dibutuhkan mahasiswa pada perkuliahan biologi sel berupa bahan ajar digital berupa modul digital atau modul elektronik yang dikembangkan berdasarkan kebutuhan mahasiswa. Modul digital dapat memudahkan mahasiswa dalam memahami konsep pada mata kuliah biologi sel karena dapat disajikan secara interaktif sehingga memudahkan mahasiswa dalam aksebilitas dan fleksibilitasnya.

Abstract

The training activities carried out by the Makassar State University service team are a form of community empowerment program. The training carried out is an idea from the utilization of waste waste in the FT UNM environment. The purpose of this training is to empower cleaning service personnel at the Faculty of Engineering, Makassar State University (FT-UNM) by providing insight into skills in managing organic waste into compost. Furthermore, this training involved 20 FT cleaning service people. The training stages carried out by the service team include the stages of training and counseling, namely by providing training to cleaning services on ways to sort organic and inorganic waste and basic techniques for making compost fertilizer. Provision of a processing area, namely by providing a place for processing organic waste into compost, such as a special area in the FT-UNM environment which is equipped with the necessary equipment. Organic Waste Collection is taught how to identify and collect organic waste generated at FT-UNM, such as food waste, leaves, and other organic waste. The composting process is by teaching composting techniques which include mixing organic materials, aeration, and maintenance so that the composting process runs well. Utilization and marketing is after the compost is ready, it can be used for greening needs on campus or sold to the surrounding community as a product that has economic value.
