Abstract

School readiness is essential for children because children ready to enter elementary school will benefit and progress further than those not prepared to enter elementary school. Kustimah (2008) stated that the factors that influence children's readiness to enter elementary school include age and level of intelligence. Age factors can affect thinking and work. A person's mindset and grasping power are also influenced by age. The older a person gets, the more his grasping ability and attitude will develop and, of course, affect the knowledge he gains. This study is a quantitative study that aims to determine the effect between age and intelligence of early childhood on their readiness to enter elementary school by using psychological test tools Nijmeegse Schoolbekwaamheids Test (NST) and Colored Progressive Matrices (CPM). Studies conducted this research at Muhammadiyah Elementary School, Rokan Hulu Regency, Riau Province. From 85 respondents, using the ordinal regression model, the results were 0.998, 0.998, 0.278, and 0.887; this shows that age and intelligence have no significant effect on children's readiness to enter school.

Abstract

Drug is a complex problem in Indonesia, marked by the increase of drug addict number and number of revealed cases. This badly impacts the community and country life in the future. One of factors which cause the increase of drug consumption in teenager is their attitude which ignores the values, norms, and applicable law. From Islamic point of view, drug abuse is included into ijtihad because it is not mentioned in Al-Qur’an and Hadits directly, but it is known as khamr. The purpose of this research was to identify the cause of drug abuse in teenagers and drug abuse in the perspective of Islam. The method employed was systematic literature review based on the articles published at Google Scholar and DOAJ in the last ten years (2012-2022) with keywords “drug abuse in teenagers” and “drug abuse in the perspective of Islam”. The results of this research showed that there were some factors which cause drug abuse in teenager such as internal factor and external factor. From Islamic point of view, drug (khamr) is haram and forbidden.

Abstract

The activities that occur at school will have an impact or influence on the level of comfort and sense of security of students when at school. One of the places of educational institutions is campus. So that the campus becomes one of the places that students expect to be able to provide comfort and a sense of security when students are on campus, environmental comfort will be related to student health, both physically and mentally with a positive social environment. The purpose of this article is to describe the condition of school well-being at school or on campus based on psychological theory and Islamic perspectives. This article focuses on previous data collection so that it uses the Library Research method or library research method which is a method of collecting data through library data. In this case, educational media facilities must pay attention to the environment and facilities provided, school well-being has four aspects in it that can influence the achievement of school well-being, namely the aspects of having, loving, being and health. Several research results show that the aspect of having or the school environment greatly influences school well-being in students or students, but other aspects are also supporting aspects in school well-being. The perspective according to Islam has similarities with the aspect of having, namely creating a comfortable environment such as the facilities provided, easy-to-understand learning methods, so that what distinguishes the Islamic perspective from other perspectives is its source which comes from the Qur'an and hadith.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the relationship between phone snubbing (phubbing) behavior and social interaction. This research method is correlational quantitative. The subjects of this study were students as if the High School and were 11th grade students. The number of subjects was 181 students who were selected using purposive sampling technique. The instruments used are the phubbing behavior scale and the social interaction scale. Data analysis using SPSS version 26 for windows. The results of the hypothesis test showed a significance value of 0.000 p < 0.05, with Pearson-Correlation -0,583. It can be concluded that there is a negative relationship between phubbing behavior and social interaction of high school students. So that the hypothesis proposed in this study can be accepted. Based on the categorization of phubbing behavior variable scores, it can be concluded that 26 students (14%) fall into the low category, 127 students (71%) are in medium category, and 28 students (15%) are in the high category. This indicates that the majority of students exhibit a moderate level of phubbing behavior.
