Abstract

Kasus kejahatan seksual di Indonesia terus meningkat termasuk di Provinsi Riau. Data yang didapatkan di Pusat Pelayanan Terpadu Pemberdayaan Perempuan dan Anak (P2TP2A) Provinsi Riau tercatat tahun 2014 sebanyak 33 kasus dan tahun 2015 sebanyak 24 kasus sampai bulan oktober 2015. Untuk kasus sodomi tahun 2014 tercatat 3 kasus dan tahun 2015 tercatat 6 kasus. Pelaku kejahatan seksul lebih banyak adalah orang terdekat. Penelitian ini bermaksud untuk mengetahui gambaran kepribadian pelaku sodomi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif jenis studi kasus. Subjek penelitian berjumlah satu orang dengan metode pengambilan sampel purposive sampling. Metode pengambilan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara dan tes grafis. Hasil penelitian menunjukan subjek melakukan sodomi kepada salah seorang anak laki-laki berusia 14 tahun. Terjadinya perbuatan sodomi dapat disimpulkan dari kepribadian subjek sebagai berikut subjek memiliki kepribadian secara kognitif kurang mampu memiliki banyak pertimbangan dalam pengambilan keputusan sehingga cepat dalam mengambil keputusan. Secara emosi subjek kurang matang sehingga mudah terpengaruh oleh keadaan. Dari sisi sosial mampu beradaptasi namun kurang mampu menjalin hubungan intim dengan orang lain. Subjek kurang mampu mengontrol dorongan seksualnya karena tidak memiliki banyak aktivitas sehingga subjek merasa suntuk atau bosan dan yang muncul adalah bayangan seksual. Kebiasaan minum minimal alkohol. Pengetahuan dan pengalaman agama subjek rendah.

Abstract

Abu Zayd al-Balkhi was a Muslim polymath who made significant contributions to the field of psychology, particularly in his views on depression and anxiety. This research aims to comprehend al-Balkhi’s perspective on depression and anxiety in the context of Islam during his time and to contribute to the understanding of mental health that aligns with Islamic values. The study employs a literature research method to analyze his main work, “Masalih al-Abdan wa al-Anfus”, and investigates al-Balkhi’s opinions on depression and anxiety. Researchers also classify different types of depression and the understanding of anxiety as proposed by al-Balkhi. The research findings reveal that al-Balkhi was one of the early pioneers in understanding mental disorders by categorizing psychological symptoms within a more modern framework. Furthermore, the study highlights his views on the connection between physical and mental health and emphasizes the significance of maintaining a balance between the two.

Abstract

Leaving their nest creates a distance between students and their hometown, which can lead to homesickness. Prolonged homesickness can create various adverse effects. It is speculated that a hardiness personality can mitigate the impacts of homesickness behavior for out-of-town students. Another factor that is assumed to reduce the impact of homesickness behavior is patience. In the context of Islamic teachings, patience (sabr) and hardiness, which closely aligns with the concept of istiqamah, are highly valued virtues. This study aimed to examine the influence of patience and hardiness personality on homesickness behavior for out-of-town students. The respondents in this study were 102 out-of-town students. Purposive sampling method was used to select the respondents by setting specific criteria. Data were collected using scales. This study analyzed the data using the Partial Least Squares (PLS) method with the help of the smartPLS 3.0 software. The conclusion of this study was based on the path coefficient values, which showed a negative influence of hardiness personality on homesickness behavior with a coefficient of -0.313 and a significant effect with a value of 0.011. The path coefficient values also showed a negative influence of patience on homesickness behavior with a coefficient of -0.318 and a significant effect with a value of 0.006. Therefore, it can be interpreted that both patience and hardiness personality have an influence on homesickness behavior for out-of-town students.

Abstract

Non-Muslim students studying at Islamic universities often face challenges, particularly with Islamic studies courses and Muslim dress code ethics. This situation creates a need for academic hardiness, allowing non-Muslim students to endure the academic pressures they encounter in such settings. One factor believed to contribute to the development of academic hardiness is self-acceptance. This research aims to examine the effect of self-acceptance on academic hardiness among non-Muslim students at an Islamic university. The subjects in this study are 104 active non-Muslim students at Universitas Islam Riau. The sampling technique used is nonprobability sampling, specifically snowball sampling. Data was collected using academic hardiness and self-acceptance scales. Data analysis was conducted using Partial Least Squares (PLS) with SmartPLS 3.0 software. The study results show a significant and positive effect of self-acceptance on academic hardiness among non-Muslim students at an Islamic university.

Abstract

Caregivers of children with autism spectrum disorder experience psychological pressure, which can affect their psychological well-being. This study aims to identify the personality traits which influence such well-being. A quantitative method was employed, involving 213 Indonesian participants who were caregivers of children with autism attending special schools or enrolled at specialized therapy centers, selected through purposive sampling. The personality traits were measured using the IPIP-BFM-25 scale, while psychological well-being was assessed using the Psychological Well-Being Scale. The data were analyzed using the PLS-SEM method with SMART PLS 3.0 software, employing the disjoint two-stage estimation approach. The results show that the traits of extroversion (β = 0.222, t = 2.249, p = .021); conscientiousness (β = 0.258, t = 2.782, p = .003); and emotional stability (β = 0.302, t = 4.371, p = .000) positively affected the caregivers’ psychological well-being. However, those of agree­ableness and intellect did not have a significant impact. It is hoped that the study findings will contribute to the efforts to enhance the mental health of caregivers of children with autism.

Abstract

School well-being merupakan aspek krusial dalam kehidupan mahasiswa yang dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor psikologis dan sosial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kontrol diri, kesabaran, dan dukungan sosial teman sebaya terhadap school well-being pada mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) berbasis Partial Least Square (PLS), dianalisis melalui software SmartPLS 3.0 M3. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah 221 mahasiswa Fakultas Psikologi Universitas Islam Riau yang dipilih secara purposive. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kontrol diri berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap school well-being, diikuti oleh kesabaran dan dukungan sosial teman sebaya yang juga memberikan kontribusi positif. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa mahasiswa dengan kontrol diri yang baik, tingkat kesabaran yang tinggi, serta dukungan sosial yang kuat dari teman sebaya cenderung memiliki kesejahteraan akademik yang lebih tinggi. Implikasi dari penelitian ini menyoroti pentingnya pengembangan program intervensi berbasis psikologis guna meningkatkan school well-being mahasiswa melalui penguatan kontrol diri, kesabaran, dan jejaring sosial.

Abstract

Artikel ini merupakan studi kepustakaan yang mendalami peran psikologi konseling dalam menangani berbagai masalah psikologis yang dihadapi siswa di Indonesia, khususnya di Provinsi Riau dan Kepulauan Riau (Kepri). Fokus utama adalah pada stres akademik, kecemasan sosial, dan penurunan kesejahteraan psikologis siswa yang semakin meningkat akibat tekanan belajar, hambatan sosial, serta pandemi COVID-19 yang berdampak negatif pada kebiasan hidup siswa yang kontraproduktif. Studi ini mengkaji teknik konseling seperti Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), konseling realita, konseling individu, konseling kelompok, serta pemanfaatan teknologi daring dan model konselor sebaya. Analisis literatur menunjukkan bahwa intervensi psikologi konseling berpotensi efektif menurunkan tingkat stres dan kecemasan, serta meningkatkan motivasi belajar dan kesejahteraan psikologis siswa. Keberhasilan intervensi sangat dipengaruhi oleh adaptasi budaya dan kondisi geografis lokal, terutama di wilayah yang berkembang pesat seperti Kepri. Penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya pengembangan layanan konseling multiperspektif dan interdisipliner yang sensitif terhadap konteks lokal dan mengintegrasikan teknologi untuk memperluas akses layanan,  serta meningkatkan kualitas layanan psikologis bagi siswa. Implikasi dari kajian ini sangat penting untuk pengembangan kebijakan pendidikan dan kesehatan mental di Indonesia, khususnya di Propinsi Riau dan Kepri.

Abstract

Masalah kesehatan mental di kalangan remaja Indonesia terus mengalami peningkatan, khususnya dalam lingkungan sekolah yang merupakan ruang utama interaksi sosial dan pembentukan identitas psikososial. Banyak sekolah belum memiliki sistem dukungan psikologis yang memadai, sementara akses terhadap layanan profesional masih terbatas. Dalam konteks ini, Psychological First Aid (PFA) menjadi salah satu pendekatan strategis untuk mendeteksi dini dan merespons tekanan psikologis ringan hingga sedang pada siswa. Artikel ini bertujuan mengeksplorasi integrasi PFA dalam sistem pendidikan Indonesia dengan meninjau efektivitas, tantangan, dan arah praktik yang dapat dikembangkan. Kajian ini menggunakan metode literature review dengan pendekatan analisis tematik. Data dianalisis dari  40 sumber literatur nasional dan internasional yang relevan mengenai implementasi PFA di lingkungan pendidikan. Hasil kajian tematik menghasilkan lima tema utama: (1) PFA sebagai pendekatan psikososial awal dalam pendidikan, (2) efektivitas PFA dalam meningkatkan kesehatan mental siswa, (3) peran strategis guru, konselor sebaya, dan struktur sekolah, (4) kebutuhan standar operasional PFA di lembaga pendidikan, dan (5) arah kebijakan serta praktik PFA berkelanjutan di Indonesia. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa PFA mampu meningkatkan resiliensi, empati, dan kesejahteraan psikologis siswa, serta membentuk ekosistem sekolah yang suportif secara emosional. Namun demikian, penerapan PFA masih menghadapi tantangan struktural, seperti rendahnya literasi psikologis, kurangnya pelatihan, dan belum adanya kebijakan sistemik. Oleh karena itu, artikel ini merekomendasikan pengarusutamaan PFA dalam kebijakan pendidikan, penguatan kapasitas guru dan konselor sebaya, serta kolaborasi lintas sektor untuk membangun sistem dukungan psikososial yang berkelanjutan bagi siswa remaja di sekolah maupun di perguruan tinggi.

Abstract

During the pandemic, teenagers stay at home for 24 hours and carry out activities, especially communicating and interacting via gadgets or smartphones. All information and interactions occur in one direction, this indirectly affects the behavior of teenagers, especially if they see negative content. Positive literacy by involving adolescents is one option in shaping the positive character of adolescents so as to prevent negative things from happening. The purpose of this study was to analyze the formation of adolescent character during the pandemic through existing social media literacy, including Instagram, Youtube, and others by involving the relevant agencies, namely the Communications and Information Office and the Library and Archives Service as well as academics. The results of this study indicate that indirectly involving adolescents in this activity is expected to provide literacy and positive information on the character and behavior of adolescents. Several forms and themes from Jelita, namely Riau Literacy and Information for Superior Human Resources (Riau LITE SDM Unggul), Promise Heart, Obrol Obrol (O2), Family Room. It is hoped that this program will be able to provide literacy and information and education to teenagers to serve as a basis for behavior so that they have a positive character.
