Abstract

Introduction to The Problem: Zakat, a core Islamic practice, mandates Muslims to give to needy people. Indonesia's sizable Muslim population and Islamic financial institutions create substantial zakat potential. However, effective collection and distribution face hurdles, including a lack of understanding, trust, and optimal management. Legislation and education efforts aim to improve zakat management, with transparency and good governance crucial. Enhancing public awareness and accountability can unlock the full potential of zakat funds for social welfare.Purpose/Objective Study: This study aims to analyze the effect of Sharia compliance, Good Corporate Governance, and Amil Zakat competence on zakat management in North Sumatra Province.Design/Methodology/Approach: The population of this study is all Amil Zakat in North Sumatra Province, while the sample is all managers of the Institution of Zakat in North Sumatra Province which are under the auspices of the National Board of Zakat Republic of Indonesia (BAZNAS) of North Sumatra Province. Data were collected through a questionnaire instrument and analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis techniques and Structural Equation Model (SEM) analysis.Findings: The results of the study show that Sharia compliance has a positive and significant influence on the management of zakat. The implementation of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) in zakat management institutions also has a positive impact on zakat fund collection, good reputation, and transparency and accountability in the distribution of zakat funds. As well as amil competence also has a positive and significant influence on the management of zakat. The results of the study also emphasize the importance of Sharia compliance, the implementation of Good Corporate Governance, and increasing the competence of amil in zakat management. To improve zakat management, zakat institutions, government and society need to work together to ensure fair, transparent and competitive zakat management.

Abstract

Mitra kolaboratif yang terlibat dalam kegiatan Program Kemitraan Masyarakat ini para guru yang bertugas di Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) Swasta Teladan, yang berlokasi di Kelurahan Cinta Damai. Inisiatif yang dijalankan melalui kegiatan ini merangkum solusi atas permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh mitra, yang meliputi: implementasi pelatihan mengenai metode pembelajaran yang bersifat inovatif dan memikat bagi siswa melalui pendekatan blended learning, dan penyediaan pelatihan dan pendampingan dalam pengoperasian sistem informasi pembelajaran online, dikenal sebagai ELEMSY. Dalam penerapannya, metode pendekatan yang diadopsi dalam pelaksanaan Program Kemitraan Masyarakat ini didasarkan pada pendekatan pendidikan, pelatihan, praktikum, serta pendampingan. Dari segi hasil yang telah diraih dari berjalannya kegiatan ini, terdapat beberapa poin signifikan: Mitra telah berhasil menghasilkan suatu portal daring yang berfungsi sebagai sistem informasi pembelajaran online, dikenal dengan nama ELEMSY. Selanjutnya, terdapat perbaikan secara nyata terkait pemahaman para pendidik dalam implementasi model pembelajaran blended learning. Abstract

This research aims to examine how sales promotions and the perceived ease of cashless transactions influence the interest in using ShopeePay. Data collection was conducted through questionnaires, while data analysis included multiple linear regression, hypothesis testing (t-test, F-test, and coefficient of determination), which were previously subjected to validity and reliability tests.The results indicate that both sales promotions and perceived ease have a positive and significant impact on the interest in using ShopeePay. Furthermore, the combination of these two factors also proves to have a positive and significant effect on usage interest. The coefficient of determination test yields a value of 0.635, suggesting that 63.5% of the variation in ShopeePay usage interest can be explained by sales promotions and perceived ease, while the remaining percentage is influenced by factors outside the scope of this study.

Abstract

The development of information technology, especially websites, is necessary to increase the efficiency and accuracy of monitoring and evaluating lectures in higher education, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study aims to develop a web-based lecture monitoring information system and test the feasibility level of the information system developed based on validation/assessment from a team of experts and students. This research uses a Research and Development (R&D) approach with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). System designed using Appsheet with Google Sheets database. Media Validation was carried out by a Visual Media Expert Lecturer and tested on 70 class commissioner students in the management department at State University of Medan. In general, the results of the media aspect validation as measured by two indicator aspects of interface and multimedia are classified as very feasible at 88.89%, and the results of the field trial assessment as measured by four indicator aspects of correctness, reliability, integrity, and usability are also categorized as very feasible at 89.89%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan mengoptimasi Expert Advisor (EA) yang mengintegrasikan indikator teknikal Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) dan Average True Range (ATR) dengan penerapan strategi adaptive position sizing untuk trading pasangan mata uang AUD/CAD pada platform MetaTrader 5 menggunakan akun demo broker Deriv. Strategi diuji dalam dua skenario: skenario 1 menggunakan time frame H1 dan skenario 2 menggunakan time frame H4, masing-masing dengan optimasi parameter yang berbeda melalui algoritma genetika. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan Model Spiral. Teknik analisis data meliputi backtesting pada data historis (2021-2024), optimasi parameter, pengujian real-time (April-Mei 2025), serta evaluasi kinerja menggunakan metrik seperti profit factor, maximum drawdown, win rate, sharpe ratio, expected payoff, dan recovery factor. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses optimasi berhasil secara signifikan mengubah kinerja EA dari rugi menjadi sangat profitabel pada pengujian historis. Pada pengujian real-time, skenario H4 menunjukkan kinerja yang lebih unggul dengan profitabilitas tertinggi ($981.43) dan risiko yang jauh lebih terkendali (maximum drawdown 9.93%) dibandingkan skenario H1 yang juga profitabel ($530.70) namun dengan drawdown lebih tinggi (23.61%). Analisis perbandingan antara hasil optimasi (backtest) dan real-time testing menunjukkan penurunan tingkat risiko (drawdown) yang drastis pada kondisi pasar aktual, meskipun profit absolut lebih rendah karena periode pengujian yang singkat. Secara keseluruhan, Expert Advisor yang dikembangkan menunjukkan kinerja yang fungsional dan profitabel, dengan strategi yang lebih stabil dan superior saat diterapkan pada time frame H4 untuk swing trading.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the level of user satisfaction with the user interface and user experience of the Shopee Application by classifying it using the C.4.5 algorithm. The research subjects used in this study are students of the Digital Business Study Program at Universitas Negeri Medan. This research uses a descriptive quantitative approach, with data collection through questionnaires designed using a Likert scale. The data obtained will then be analyzed using the C4.5 algorithm to produce a decision tree consisting of eight attributes used, namely strive for consistency, usability, offer information feedback, design dialogs to yield closure, prevent errors, permit easy reversal of action, keep user in control, and reduce short-term memory load. The result of the decision tree will form a rule or pattern that is easier to understand. From the data that has been collected, this research shows that the majority of user satisfaction levels fall under the class label category "SATISFIED," with the data divided into three classes: very satisfied, satisfied, and dissatisfied. In this study, the C4.5 algorithm was very capable of building a good classification model with an accuracy rate of 95%. This shows that the model is capable of classifying user satisfaction data very well.

Abstract

This research develops an Expert Advisor (EA) based on Relative Strength Index (RSI) and Moving Average (MA) indicators with a money management strategy for trading GBP/USD on a swap-free account in MetaTrader 5. The strategy was tested in two different time frame scenarios (M30 and H1) with parameter optimization. This study employs the Research and Development method, analyzing data through backtesting and real-time testing. EA performance evaluation involved performance metrics such as win ratio, profit factor, drawdown, and recovery factor. Test results indicate that the M30 scenario is more optimal for short-term implementation, while the H1 scenario excels in long-term testing. Descriptive statistical analysis and T-tests revealed no significant difference between backtesting and real-time testing results for profit and total trades, but a significant difference for the balance variable. Overall, the developed EA shows good potential for adaptive automated trading strategies, especially on swap-free accounts.

Abstract

The development of automated trading systems in forex markets has increased the demand for adaptive strategies based on technical indicators. This study aims to develop and evaluate an Expert Advisor (EA) utilizing a breakout strategy integrated with Bollinger Bands and Relative Strength Index (RSI) indicators, as well as adaptive risk management, on the MetaTrader 5 platform. A Research and Development (R&D) approach using the Prototyping model was employed to iteratively design and refine the EA. The system was evaluated through three stages: backtesting, parameter optimization, and real-time testing on three major currency pairs—EUR/USD, GBP/USD, and USD/JPY. Parameter optimization using the Fast Genetic Based Algorithm led to improved performance across all pairs, with significant enhancements in drawdown reduction and profit factor. One-month real-time testing demonstrated that the EA maintained a profit factor above 1 and a drawdown below 1% for EUR/USD and GBP/USD. The findings indicate that integrating a breakout strategy with technical indicator optimization and adaptive risk management significantly enhances the effectiveness of automated trading systems. This research contributes to both academic literature and practical applications in the development of algorithmic trading systems based on technical indicators.

Abstract

This community service program aimed to address the challenges of implementing innovative technology-based learning at Ar-Rahman High School and Vocational High School in Medan. Initial observations identified the dominance of conventional teaching methods impacting low student interest and learning outcomes, caused by teachers' limited understanding and skills in developing digital teaching materials and utilizing technology, particularly blended learning. The implemented solution was mentoring for optimizing blended learning through the development of a serverless learning information system based on Google Workspace for Education, already available at the school. The implementation method included surveys, socialization, FGDs, system development, training on digital teaching material development, system usage training for teachers and students, and monitoring and evaluation. A quasi-experimental study with a pretest-posttest control group design was also conducted to measure the intervention's effectiveness on teachers' digital competence and students' perceptions of learning. Key results showed the successful development of an integrated and easily accessible learning information system. Training and mentoring significantly improved teachers' understanding and skills (p < 0.05) in designing and implementing blended learning and developing digital teaching materials using Google Workspace. There was a significant increase (p < 0.05) in students' perceptions of engagement and learning effectiveness post-implementation. This program successfully transformed learning practices towards more optimal technology utilization, creating a more engaging and interactive learning experience. It is concluded that structured mentoring in adopting blended learning using the Google Workspace platform effectively enhances teachers' digital competence and students' positive perceptions in the high school/vocational high school environment.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of an automated strategy for trading the DAX-30 index through the construction of an Expert Advisor integrating the Williams Percent Range indicator and the Fixed Fractional Money Management method. The strategy was tested on a Zero Spread account, which offers zero spreads with a fixed commission per lot, to assess the impact of the fee structure on profitability. A prototype Expert Advisor was developed and tested using historical and real-time data on the MetaTrader 5 platform. Backtesting results showed that the combination of the Williams Percent Range indicator and the risk management method produced consistent performance, with an adequate profit ratio and controlled drawdown. Implementing the strategy on a Zero Spread account improved execution precision and risk calculation accuracy, significantly impacting equity curve consistency. Real-time testing demonstrated that eliminating variable spreads improved the validity of technical signals and the effectiveness of risk management. This study concluded that the combination of a technical approach and automated risk management can optimize trading strategy performance in volatile market conditions.
