Abstract

In elementary school children, the selection of unqualified snacks is a problem that is a major concern in society. The animated video is made with a fun, simple storyline so that it can attract children's attention and the message conveyed can be maximized. Video animation is expected to change the mindset of children in preventing dengue hemorrhagic fever. This study aims to analyze the effect of animated video media on the prevention of dengue hemorrhagic fever on increasing knowledge, and attitudes of students of SDN 002 Sungai Pinang. This study used the Quasy experimental design research method with Time Series design. The population in the study was 5th grade students with amount of 45 people and used total sampling technique in sampling. There was an increase in the average knowledge score from 57.85 to 94.59. The average attitude score also increased from 60.52 to 93.11. Likewise with the average score of behavior, which increased from 62.22 to 94.17. Statistically, the results of the Wilcoxon test on the knowledge variable was ρ=0.000 < α 0.05 , and attitude ρ =0.000 < α 0.05. There is an influence of animated video media on increasing knowledge, and attitude in students of SDN 002 Sungai Pinang.

Abstract

Smoking behavior and smoking-related diseases were global health problems. The prevalence of school-age child smokers in Samarinda city has increased in the last three years. The study aimed to analyze the effect of health education with pop-up book media on knowledge and motivation to prevent smoking in students of SDN 009 Loa Janan Ilir. The type of research was a pre-experimental study with a one group pretest-posttest design. Research intervention was applied through health education with pop-up book media. The research sample was amounted to 67 fifth-grade students of SDN 009 Loa Janan Ilir which determined by total sampling. Data were collected through questionnaires. The research data were tested statistically using the Wilcoxon test. The results showed that the number of students who had good knowledge increased by 47 people (70.1%) and positive motivation increased by 29 people (46.3%). The results of statistical analysis showed that there was an effect of pop-up book media health education on the knowledge (ρ-value = 0.000) and motivation of respondents (ρ-value = 0.002) about smoking prevention. Pop-up book media was effective as a health education media on smoking prevention for primary students.

Abstract

Obesitas merupakan masalah kesehatan masyarakat yang terus meningkat dan menjadi faktor risiko utama berbagai penyakit tidak menular seperti diabetes, hipertensi, dan penyakit jantung. Salah satu alternatif yang digunakan masyarakat dalam upaya manajemen berat badan adalah mengonsumsi produk nutrisi seperti Susu X yang berfungsi sebagai pengganti makanan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode fenomenologi, di mana data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam terhadap sembilan informan yang terdiri dari konsumen Susu X dan tenaga penjual. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa informan memiliki pemahaman yang baik mengenai fungsi dan manfaat Susu X, serta menunjukkan keseriusan dalam menjaga kesehatan. Sebagian besar informan merasakan manfaat seperti penurunan berat badan, peningkatan energi, dan tumbuhnya motivasi untuk menjalani hidup sehat. Namun, terdapat beberapa hambatan yang dihadapi, antara lain harga produk yang relatif tinggi dan kurangnya pemahaman sebagian masyarakat mengenai cara konsumsi yang benar. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa Susu X berpotensi menjadi alternatif dalam pencegahan obesitas apabila dikonsumsi dengan pemahaman yang tepat dan dibarengi dengan pola hidup sehat.

Abstract

Adolescent girls are susceptible to anaemia due to blood loss during menstruation. The purpose of this study was to identify the influence of health education regarding anaemia, utilising audiovisual media, on the knowledge and attitudes of adolescent girls in MTS. Sabilarrasyad Samarinda. This study employed a quantitative methodology utilising a pre-experimental design, specifically a one-group pre-test and post-test framework. The number of students with increased knowledge rose from 34 (66.7%) to 51 (100%). It is known that 49 out of 50 pupils (98%) with average knowledge demonstrated improvement. For the attitude category score, 45 pupils (88.2%) exhibited an average attitude. The Wilcoxon test reveals a P-Value of 0.000 for the knowledge variable and a P-Value of 0.000 for the attitude variable. The impact of health education regarding anaemia, utilising audiovisual means, on the knowledge and attitudes of adolescent girls.
