Abstract

Reading corners can be used to increase students' interest in reading. This research aims to improve students' reading ability through reading corners in junior high schools. What is contained in this research is how effective the reading corner is in increasing students' reading interest. What is the school doing to prepare for the reading corner movement in the classroom? What are the problems behind students' low interest in reading? This research is a qualitative descriptive study. This research uses data collection techniques, namely interviews, observation techniques, data reduction, data presentation. The techniques for checking the validity of the data used in this research are observation and interviews. There are several factors that influence improving students' reading ability through reading corners in junior high schools, namely having a reading corner in each class makes students more enthusiastic about reading books, and the reading corner in each class is made as attractive as possible.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the educational value of the main character Ava Alessandra in the novel Heartbreak Motel by Ika Natassa. The method that will be used in this study is the descriptive analysis method. The data in this study are in the form of quotes, clauses, and sentences that contain the educational values ​​of the main character Ava Alessandra in the novel. The data source is the novel Heartbreak Motel by Ika Natassa published by Gramedia Pustaka Utama in 2020 with a total of 400 pages. Data collection techniques consist of reading the novel, rereading, and marking relevant parts of the novel. Data analysis techniques involve interpretation, interpretation, determining character forms, grouping data, and description. The results and discussion show the character education value of Ava Alessandra in the novel, with a total of 88 data found, which include: honest character as many as 45 data, peace-loving character as many as 4 data, fear character as many as 3 data, friendly character as many as 4 data, hard-working character as many as 4 data, caring character as many as 10 data, religious character as many as 6 data, angry character as many as 6 data, appreciating achievement character as many as 5 data, and curiosity character as many as 1 data. It is also known that the most frequently appearing data is honest character data which amounts to 45 data, while the least frequently appearing data in the Heartbreak Motel novel by Ika Natassa is curiosity character data which amounts to 1 data

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui minat pembaca terhadap karya sastra digital dengan menggunakan pendekatan resepsi sastra pada mahasiswa. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh perkembangan teknologi digital yang memudahkan masyarakat dalam mengakses karya sastra melalui media daring, seperti novel yang dipublikasikan pada platform digital. Oleh karena itu, penting untuk mengetahui bagaimana minat pembaca, khususnya mahasiswa, terhadap karya sastra digital.Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan resepsi sastra. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa yang berjumlah 35 responden. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan angket yang disebarkan melalui Google Form. Instrumen penelitian disusun berdasarkan jenis minat pembaca yang meliputi minat realistik, investigatif, artistik, sosial, enterprising, dan konvensional. Data yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis dengan cara mendeskripsikan hasil jawaban responden berdasarkan skala Likert yang terdiri dari sangat setuju, setuju, tidak setuju, dan sangat tidak setuju.   Kata Kunci: Karya Sastra Digital, Mahasiswa, Minat Pembaca, Resepsi Sastra
