Abstract

Using a systematic literature review as the primary research approach, the purpose of this study is to provide an overview of the research trends connected to management of maritime logistics in both Asia and Indonesia. The literature review was carried out with the help of Leximancer, which is a text analytics software, in order to determine the major ideas and recurring topics that were addressed in the research that were chosen. A form of research known as a systematic literature review was utilized for this particular investigation. According to the findings of the comprehensive evaluation of the relevant literature, researchers in Asia and Indonesia follow comparable lines of enquiry in the field of maritime logistics management research. The studies concentrate their attention particularly on topics like the management of supply chains, the optimization of transportation, and the promotion of sustainability in maritime logistics. In spite of the fact that the study tendencies in Asia and Indonesia are quite comparable to one another, certain studies in Indonesia place a distinct emphasis on particular ideas like society, the environment, and marine development. Taking into account its archipelagic character, local rules, and vital position in international trade, these ideas are reflective of the particular challenges and opportunities that Indonesia has when it comes to the management of its maritime logistics. To summarize, Asian research on logistics and maritime management focuses on risks, performance, globalization, environmental sustainability, and green practices. Therefore, Asian trends can be utilized by Indonesian scholars in their studies of maritime logistics management.

Abstract

Cement is one of the most important building materials in the world of construction today. So that the demand for cement can be used as a benchmark in the implementation of development in a country. Cement ship unloading equipment is very influential on the availability of cement supply both in Indonesia and the world. Damage to the unloading equipment on the cement carrier ship, especially the Cera Tank and Bucket Elevator, has an impact on the delay in the loading and unloading process at the port. So that maintenance is very important in order to avoid the delay in loading and unloading. This research was conducted in MV. Oceanic Success for 12 months. The aim is to find out things that must be considered in terms of maintenance of cement carrier ship unloading equipment. This research method uses a qualitative descriptive method with data analysis techniques, namely Root Cause Analysis with the help of the 5 Why Analysis Method tool. The results of this study indicate that the Cera Tank and Bucket Elevator unloading tools are lacking in terms of maintenance. Thus causing delays in the unloading process on the MV ship. Oceanic Success.

Abstract

This interdisciplinary study explores the dynamics of literacy and spirituality among third-semester cadets at the Maritime Shipping School in Jakarta. Concentrating on English literacy, reading behaviours, and Christian spirituality, the research uncovers a nuanced interaction with technical manuals and fiction novels. The cadets, displaying a comprehensive approach to literacy, engage in regular reading practices, balancing academic rigor with leisurely pursuits. Positive perceptions regarding the integration of spirituality into education underscore the success of the cadet boarding school system in Jakarta. The implications for educational practice underscore the significance of a diverse curriculum that addresses both technical and personal dimensions, promoting holistic development. This research contributes to the ongoing conversation about comprehensive education in maritime institutions, offering insights for educators and curriculum planners. Potential areas for further research are identified, urging longitudinal studies to monitor the evolution of literacy habits and spiritual perspectives among cadets. In essence, the findings underscore the importance for educational institutions to acknowledge and nurture the diverse facets of maritime professionals, preparing them not only for technical challenges but also for the broader complexities of the maritime industry.

Abstract

This research contributes to the existing literature by providing empirical insights into English literacy proficiency among maritime graduates in Indonesia, particularly from STIP Jakarta. By focusing on the perspectives of graduates, the study offers a nuanced understanding of the challenges and opportunities in English language education within the maritime context. The findings have implications for curriculum development, teaching methodologies, and policy-making in maritime education and training. The study concludes with recommendations for enhancing English literacy education at STIP Jakarta and other maritime institutions, including the integration of language skills into technical courses, the use of authentic materials, and the provision of language support services for students. Overall, this research highlights the importance of English literacy in preparing maritime professionals for global communication and collaboration in the maritime industry.

Abstract

Kegiatan ini bertujuan memberikan keterampilan praktis dalam mengoperasikan dan memahami terkait aplikasi teknologi simulator KALK kepada para siswa SMKN 36 Pelayaran Jakarta. Penerapan teknologi dalam industri pelayaran sangat penting, terutama karena itulah kegiatan pengabdian ini betujuan untuk memberikan motivasi dan pemahaman yang lebih dalam mengenai relevansi pendidikan dengan dunia kerja. Laboratorium simulator KALK merupakan tempat berlatih tentang bagaimana proses shipping berjalan. Para siswa sebagai Sumber Daya Manusia yang harus dibekali dengan pengetahuan mengenai alur proses pelayanan kapal di pelabuhan mulai dari pemberitahuan kedatangan kapal, pengajuan permohonan penggunaan jasa pelabuhan, sandar dan bongkar muat, hingga persiapan keberangkatan kapal setelah selesai bongkar muat beserta peran penting dari instansi terkait. Dalam kegiatan ini juga diberikan pengetahuan mengenai teknik dasar bongkar muat, mengenal seluruh area yang ada di pelabuhan, instansi terkait dalam pelaksanaan bongkar muat dan fungsinya oleh karenanya penting dilaksanakan pengabdian masyarakat terkait penggunaan aplikasi laboratorium simulator KALK sebagai modal kerja untuk pengembangan karir Sumber Daya Manusia di masa depan. Pengetahuan ini diharapkan dapat mengurangi resiko terjadinya kesalahan prosedur kerja di Pelabuhan. Metode yang dilakukan adalah melalui penyampaian informasi dan pengenalan laboratorium simulator KALK baik secara teori dan praktikum menggunakan masterplan dari terminal peti kemas Koja dalam bentuk miniatur. Dengan begitu maka pembelajaran yang didapat akan lebih mudah diserap oleh para siswayang bekerja di sekitar Pelabuhan. Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the design of a solar cell power generation system for utilizing fuel on ships at PT. Universal Manunggal Chakra. In this research, the type of research used is Research and Development. Seeing these things, researchers are interested in developing a solar cell power generation system to supply electricity on ships and applying a solar cell power generation system to supply electricity on ships. The results of the research state that the results of the manufacture and development of a prototype solar cell power generator can be concluded that the product is suitable, so it can be applied on ships. This can be proven from the test results by having a percentage of 96.25% in the appropriate category, so that the power generator prototype can supply electricity to the diesel generator on the MT.Hendropriyono III ship.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Kegiatan ini bertujuan melakukan sosialisasi terkait pemberian informasi dan pengetahuan kepada para pekerja dan juga masyarakat sekitar Pelabuhan Gresik mengenai pentingnya teknik komputer dan penyuluhan mengenai segala hal dengan memprioritaskan Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja (K3) bagi semua pekerja dan komunitas di sekitar pelabuhan KSOP Gresik. K3 menjadi langkah perlindungan untuk memastikan bahwa tenaga kerja tetap dalam kondisi sehat dan aman selama menjalankan tugas di lingkungan kerja. Kecelakaan kerja sering kali disebabkan oleh tindakan tidak aman dari pekerja (unsafe act) dan kondisi kerja yang tidak aman (unsafe condition).Beberapa hal yang mengakibatkan kecelakaan kapal laut yang terjadi disebabkan oleh muatan pada kapal yang melebihi kapasitas , kurang familiarnya para awak kapal dalam penggunaan peralatan keselamatan begitupun dengan kondisi kapal yang kurang layak oleh karenanya penting dilaksanakan penyuluhan terkait tahapan penggunaan alat-alat keselamatan selama di kapal dan penyuluhan terkait keterampilan teknik komputer sebagai modal kerja untuk pengembangan karir Sumber Daya Manusia di masa depan. Ilmu Pengetahuan tersebut dapat mengurangi terjadinya resiko kecelakaan di laut. Metode yang dilakukan adalah melalui penyampaian informasi dan pengenalan alat baik secara teori dan praktikum. Dengan begitu maka pembelajaran yang didapat akan lebih mudah diserap oleh para pegawai yang bekerja di sekitar Pelabuhan. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran simulator yang berkualitas baik. Media pembelajaran simulator berupa software digunakan untuk menentukan jarak dan arah haluan kapal yang di desain menyerupai alat navigasi ECDIS (Electronic Chart Display and Information System). Jenis penelitian ini merupakan Research and Development (RdanD) dengan metode pengembangan menggunakan model Borg dan Gall (1983) yang dimodifikasi. Pengembangan media pembelajaran simulator terdiri atas 4 tahap yaitu 1) Studi Pendahuluan, 2) Tahap Desain, 3) Tahap Validasi dan Revisi, 4) Ujicoba dan Revisi, denagan subjek penelitian taruna diploma 3 jrurusan nautika. Data hasil penelitian diperoleh sebagai berikut:  Hasil validasi media simulator mendapat skor minimal 3 untuk setiap aspek, validasi keakuratan perhitungan simulator dibandingkan dengan ECDIS didapatkan rata-rata eror dan presentase eror jarak tempuh adalah -0,06 dan 0,072%, rata-rata eror dan presentase eror arah haluan adalah 0,06 dan 0,16%. Kemampuan dosen menggunakan simulator mendapat skor minimal 3 untuk setiap aspek, aktivitas taruna sesuai dengan waktu ideal, banyak respon positif taruna 87,5%, Hasil belajar taruna lulus kompetensi sebanyak 26 dan tidak lulus kompetensi sebanyak 4, ketuntasan hasil belajar secara klasikal adalah 87%. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, dapat disimpulkan bahwa media simulator berkualitas baik.
