Abstract

In an effort to increase state revenue and administrative efficiency, many global tax authorities, including Indonesia, have invested significant resources in implementing Digital Tax Systems (e.g., e-filing, e-billing, e-invoice, and core tax systems). The implementation of these systems aims to simplify the reporting process, reduce compliance costs, and minimize human interactions that are prone to corruption, thereby ultimately improving Taxpayer Compliance. However, the effectiveness of these digital systems is not universal and is predicted to depend heavily on the user's context. This study aims to examine the role of taxpayer Digital Culture, defined as a combination of digital literacy, trust in technology, and acceptance of process automation, as a moderating variable in the relationship between Digital System Implementation and Taxpayer Compliance. Using a quantitative approach with a hierarchical regression model (Moderated Regression Analysis) or PLS-SEM, this study tests the hypothesis that the positive impact of digital system implementation on compliance will be significantly more substantial among taxpayers with a high Digital Culture and, conversely, weaker among those with a low Digital Culture. These findings are expected to provide strategic implications for the Directorate General of Taxes (DGT) in designing targeted education and outreach programs to ensure that technology implementation reaches its maximum potential in driving compliance.

Abstract

Objective: This study investigates the impact of integrating local culture-based website applications on improving the reading comprehension skills of ninth-grade students. Method: Conducted as classroom action research, the study involved 114 students and one English teacher as a collaborator. Over five meetings, students engaged with culturally relevant texts designed to enhance their comprehension, vocabulary, and grammar skills. The research included a pre-test, three treatment sessions using the website application, and a post-test, followed by a questionnaire on students' perceptions of the application. Results: The findings show that the average post-test score rising from 55.6 to 73.4. The decrease in the standard deviation from 12.8 to 9.5 suggests a reduction in performance disparities. A paired sample t-test confirmed the statistical significance of these gains (t(114) = 12.67, p < 0.001), and the large effect size (Cohen’s d = 1.62) indicates a substantial impact of the intervention. The students' responses to the questionnaire reflected a positive attitude toward the use of the application, highlighting its effectiveness and cultural relevance. Novelty: These results suggest that incorporating local cultural content into educational tools can significantly enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.

Abstract

Strengthening The Competitiveness of Fanara Frozen MSMEs: Integration of Business Legality and Visual Identity Transformation Abstract Frozen food MSMEs, such as FANARA FROZEN in Bojonegoro, face significant challenges in two fundamental aspects: the formalization of business legality and the optimization of branding strategies. Despite having established a loyal customer base through signature products such as sosis solo and risol mayo, the business is hindered by the complexity of obtaining a Business Identification Number (NIB) and a lack of understanding regarding modern visual communication strategies. This condition reflects a common problem faced by micro-scale MSMEs that lag in adopting contemporary business practices despite possessing product excellence. This community service initiative aims to provide intensive assistance to FANARA FROZEN in securing formal legality and developing a robust brand identity to enhance competitiveness in the increasingly crowded frozen food market. Using a qualitative action research method, this program directly involves MSME actors to test the effectiveness of a dual transformation approach that strengthens both legal and branding aspects. The stages of the activity range from regulatory training and administrative assistance for NIB acquisition to visual identity transformation through participatory design. Program outcomes were monitored through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and detailed documentation. The program successfully guided the MSME in obtaining the NIB as formal business legitimacy and produced a new visual identity that enhanced brand appeal and consumer trust, as evidenced by a 86,4% improvement in legality and branding comprehension scores based on pre-test and post-test evaluation results. The business owner also demonstrated measurable capacity improvements in understanding legal aspects and branding strategies. This program delivers a comprehensive impact beyond administrative and visual dimensions, namely the sustainable transfer of knowledge that contributes to the achievement of SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) through the strengthening of micro-enterprises, and SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure) through the adoption of visual identity innovation and marketing digitalization. The developed mentoring model has proven effective and holds strong potential for replication among similar MSMEs in other regions.

Abstract

Songs as modern literary works not only function as entertainment, but also as a means of character education, one of which can be found in the soundtrack of the movie Jumbo. This research aims to reveal the morality values in Jumbo movie soundtrack and its relevance to Indonesian language learning in Madrasah Aliyah. This research uses descriptive qualitative approach with literature study method which is analyzed through Miles & Huberman interactive model. The data is in the form of lyrics of three main songs part of the soundtrack of this movie, namely Selalu Ada di Nadimu sung by Bunga Citra Lestari, Prince Poetiray & Quinn Salman, Dengar Hatimu by Prince Poetiray & Quinn Salman, and Kumpul Bocah by MALIQ & D'Essentials. The research found seven prominent morality values, namely gratitude, compassion, caring, resilience and courage, optimism, self-awareness, and cultural preservation. These values are in line with Lickona's character education framework that emphasizes the integration of moral knowing, moral feeling, and moral action. The conclusion of this study confirms that the soundtrack song can be an effective medium for Phase F Learning Outcomes (CP) for grades XI-XII, namely evaluating song texts as literary texts, appreciating the aesthetic quality of lyrics, and writing reflections or literary creations inspired by songs. This also strengthens the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum, supports the achievement of the Pancasila Student Profile, and reflects the vision of Islamic education Rahmatan lil 'Alamin. Thus, this research confirms the position of songs as a bridge between literary appreciation, character strengthening, and contextual learning in the digital era.
