Abstract

Hadfield steel is steel with a content of 10-14% Mn and 1.0-1.4% C. Casting Hadfield steel contains carbide (Fe, Mn)3C at grain boundaries which can reduce strength so that it is given heat treatment so that the carbide dissolves. Rapid cooling of Hadfield steel in aqueous media prevents the formation of carbides at the grain boundaries. However, the cooling medium affects the cooling rate which changes the microstructure and mechanical properties of Hadfield steel. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of the cooling media water, ice water and oil in the heat treatment process on the microstructure and hardness of Hadfield steel. The heat treatment was initiated using a pre-austenizing temperature of 700℃ with a holding time of 60 minutes, followed by austenizing temperatures of 1150℃ and 1200℃ with a holding time of 30 minutes. After that, rapid cooling using the media of water, ice water and oil is then carried out mounting, grinding, polishing and etching. Testing the microstructure using an optical microscope and SEM while the Vickers hardness test. The results showed that heat treatment at 1150℃ followed by water+ice cooling produced a higher amount of carbide compared to water and oil, whereas at 1200℃ heat treatment with water+ice cooling produced a lower amount of carbide compared to water and oil. The highest hardness value was 185.1 HV at 1150℃ heat treatment followed by water+ice cooling, while the lowest hardness value was 174.3 HV produced by 1150℃ heat treatment with oil cooling. The highest hardness value of 187.6 HV was produced by heat treatment at 1200℃ followed by water cooling, while water+ice cooling produced the lowest hardness value of 168.2 HV.

Abstract

The eggshell of chicken, as a waste product from the food industry, has garnered attention in environmental sustainability efforts. In the context of composites, chicken eggshell offers the potential as an economical and sustainable reinforcement. The use of reinforcing materials in the form of particles is a common approach in composite development. Despite research on the use of chicken eggshell as a reinforcement in composites, the comprehensive effects of content and various particle sizes on unsaturated polyester composites using chicken eggshell on impact strength have not been thoroughly explained. This research aims to fill this knowledge gap by investigating the influence of content and particle size of chicken eggshell on the impact strength of unsaturated polyester composites. Composites were prepared using Polyester UPR 108 matrix reinforced with chicken eggshell that had been crushed into powder with various particle sizes of 40 mesh, 60 mesh, 80 mesh, and 100 mesh. The variation in the volume fraction of particles used was 0%, 10%, 30%, and 50%. The influence of particle size on composite performance was evaluated using Charpy impact strength testing according to ISO 179-1 standards. The research results showed that pure resin had the lowest impact strength, at 1.09 kJ/m2. Test specimens with 100 mesh particle content had the highest impact strength, at 4.25 kJ/m2. These findings indicate that composites with smaller particle sizes tend to have higher impact strength

Abstract

The Toyo Motor workshop MSMEs was established on January 7, 2019, which is located at Ruko Royal Sincom Blok C No.16. There are many industries around Ruko Royal Sincom, one of which is PT. Panasonic Batam. The number of employees from PT in the industrial area is not small and on average the employees use motorbikes as their means of transportation to go to work. In order to increase the productivity of Toyo Motor's workforce, the MSME owners always understand and maintain good relationships with their employees. By building a good or healthy relationship with the workforce, their performance will also get better. The interview technique used is to prepare several questions for owners that are indirectly related to consumer behavior in service such as the prepurchase stage, service encounter stage, and post encounter stage as well as several other questions regarding the MSME into new information which refers to a conclusion. We use financial statements as data to manage. The author will analyze the effect of implementing the prepurchase stage, service stage and post encounter stage on the increase or decrease in the turnover of Toyo workshop MSMEs. MSMEs have a trend demand pattern where this pattern occurs when there are several customers who like some of the trends that are happening. In today's increasingly competitive era of globalization, it is well understood that the key to winning business competition is to provide quality services that create customer satisfaction.

Abstract

Abstrak-- Paduan aluminium 7075 adalah paduan seri 7xxx yang banyak digunakan sebagai material peyusun utama struktur pesawat terbang karena memiliki rasio kekuatan terhadap berat yang tinggi. Proses peningkatan nilai kekerasan dan kekuatan yang umum dilakukan pada material ini adalah proses perlakuan panas. Sifat-sifat mekanik yang dihasilkan setelah proses perlakuan panas ini dipengaruhi oleh beberapa parameter seperti media quench, temperatur media quench, dan proses aging yang digunakan.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh proses perlakuan panas pada proses pengerasan material aluminium alloy 7075 terhadap sifat kekerasan dan sifat kekuatan aluminium alloy 7075. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode experimental. Hasil penelitian ini akan didapatkan dari hasil pengujian material sampel uji dengan cara pengujian nilai kekerasan dan pengujian nilai kekuatan tarik pada material sampel uji.Berdasarkan uji kekerasan dan uji tarik yang telah dilakukan didapatkan bahwa perlakuan artificial aging dengan suhu 125°C selama 24 jam merupakan suhu dan waktu perlakuan panas yang paling optimal untuk mencapai nilai kekerasan dan kekuatan tarik yang paling mendekati dengan nilai kekerasan dan kekuatan tarik aluminium alloy 7075-T6. Nilai kekerasan rata-rata dan nilai kekuatan tarik dengan artificial aging pada suhu 125°C selama 24 jam didapatkan nilai kekerasan rata-rata sebesar 87,87 HRB dan nilai kekuatan tarik sebesar 573,41 MPa. Kemudian didapatkan nilai terendah dari nilai kekerasan dan nilai UTS pada material sampel uji dengan suhu artificial aging 115°C selama 22 jam didapatkan nilai kekerasan rata-rata sebesar 83,10 HRB dan nilai UTS sebesar 517,05 MPa. Kata kunci: Perlakuan Panas, Uji Tarik, Uji Kekerasan, Struktur Mikro, Aluminium Alloy

Abstract

\ Proses pengolahan limbah sabut kelapa dengan menggunakan mesin pengurai sabut kelapa dapat memudahkan proses produksi. Hasil produksi dari penguraian sabut menghasilkan cocofiber dan cocofeat yang dapat di manfaatkan dalam berbagai macam produk seperti jok mobil, matras, keset, kerajinan tangan, papan serat, serta produk ramah lingkugan lainnya. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan produk-produk rumahan tidak hanya berasal dari bahan baku sintetis. Pemanfaatan sabut kelapa dengan sumber bahan baku yang relatif mudah didapatkan dapat membantu perindustrian ekonomi kecil dan menengah, dengan demikian pengabdian masyarakat melalui merancang mesin pengurai sabut kelapa menggunkan motor bakar bensin sebagai penggerak mesin untuk mempermudah proses penguraian sabut kelapa sebelum diproduksi. Sehingga tujuan pengabdian masyarakat dalam menanfaatkan limbah serabut kelapa menjadi barang dapat bernilai ekonomis sehingga dapat meningkatkan taraf hidup masyarakat sekitar. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan ceramah dan demo mesin pengurai sabut kelapa. Masyarakat yang akan terlibat dari kegiatan ini sekitar 40 orang yang diatur oleh RT/RW setempat, Kegiatan ini sangat diapresiasi oleh para peserta dimana hampir 88 % peserta memahami isi materi dan praktek Mesin Serabut Kelapa. Sedangkan untuk nilai terendah sekitar 72 % menyatakan bahwa kegiatan ini sangat diperlukan oleh para peserta dan berlangsung sukses dengan banyaknya pertanyaan dan saran agar kegiatan ini dilanjutkan.

Abstract

Deformasi plastis pada baja austenit terjadi melalui salah satu dari tiga mekanisme deformasi yaitu transformasi martensit, dislokasi dan twinning. Perilaku plastisitas baja paduan terkait erat dengan energi stacking fault (SFE) fasa austenit.  Perhitungan nilai SFE secara langsung bisa dilakukan menggunakan Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM). Akan tetapi, metode TEM perlu tahapan panjang, mahal, dan tidak mudah. Oleh karena itu, perhitungan berdasarkan model termodinamika menjadi alternatif cara yang digunakan untuk menghitung SFE pada baja Fe-Mn-Si dan Fe-Mn-C. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan nilai SFE berdasarkan persamaan termodinamik untuk paduan baja mangan Fe-Mn-C-Cr. Metode yang digunakan yaitu studi literatur untuk mendapatkan parameter setiap unsur penyusun baja mangan antara lain Fe, Mn, C, Cr, dan Si. Nilai SFE dari persamaan termodinamika akan dibandingkan dengan persamaan empiris yang sudah diusukan oleh beberapa peneliti. Selain itu, nilai SFE akan dibandingkan nilainya dari database yang diperoleh dari eksperimen misal melalui TEM dan XRD. Nilai SFE dari hasil perhitungan menggunakan persamaan termodinamika diperoleh nilai 24±10 mJ/m2. Nilai SFE hasil perhitungan persamaan empiris menunjukkan nilai yang bervariasi dengan nilai terkecil 46,77 mJ/m2 dan terbesar adalah 510,16 mJ/m2. Nilai SFE hasil perhitungan persamaan termodinamika memiliki nilai mendekati nilai SFE di literatur yaitu 21 mJ/m2. Hasil ini membuktikan bahwa perhitungan nilai SFE menggunakan persamaan termodinamika lebih akurat dengan mempertimbangkan unsur penyusunnya.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to conduct a performance comparison between hand-crafted feature matching algorithms and deep learning-based counterparts in the context of rotational variances. Hand-crafted algorithms underwent testing utilizing FLANN (Fast Library for Approximate Nearest Neighbors) as the matcher and RANSAC (Random sample consensus) for outlier detection and elimination, contributing to enhanced accuracy in the results. Surprisingly, experiments revealed that hand-crafted algorithms could yield comparable or superior results to deep learning-based algorithms when exposed to rotational variances. Notably, the application of horizontally flipped images showcased a distinct advantage for deep learning-based algorithms, demonstrating significantly improved results compared to their hand-crafted counterparts. While deep learning-based algorithms exhibit technological advancements, the study found that hand-crafted algorithms like AKAZE and AKAZE-SIFT could effectively compete with their deep learning counterparts, particularly in scenarios involving rotational variances. However, the same level of competitiveness was not observed in horizontally flipped cases, where hand-crafted algorithms exhibited suboptimal results. Conversely, deep learning algorithms such as DELF demonstrated superior results and accuracy in horizontally flipped scenarios. The research underscores that the choice between hand-crafted and deep learning-based algorithms depends on the specific use case. Hand-crafted algorithms exhibit competitiveness, especially in addressing rotational variances, while deep learning-based algorithms, exemplified by DELF, excel in scenarios involving horizontally flipped images, showcasing the unique advantages each approach holds in different contexts.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mempelajari, mengkaji, dan menganalisis tentang beberapa pelaku usaha minimarket yang menerapkan pengembalian uang kembalian belanja konsumen dalam bentuk donasi. Tindakan pelaku usaha dalam mengembalikan uang kembalian dalam bentuk donasi membuat kerugian besar bagi konsumen apabila pelaku usaha tidak menjelaskan dengan rinci kemana hasil dari pengumpulan uang kembalian tersebut disalurkan. Apabila pembeli tidak setuju dan tidak dan tidak nyaman jika uang sisa kembalian pembeli dengan nominal yang sesuai dari hasil transaksinya. Tetapi, apabila pembeli menyetujui dan ikhlas tanpa terlihat terpaksa mendonasikan uang kembaliannya, maka diperbolehkan karena adanya kesepakatan dari kedua belah pihak.

Abstract

Rural areas are areas in Indonesia that are inhabited by a large proportion of the population. The population area is usually engaged in the agricultural sector and has a fairly high social value. Lingga Regency consists of 13 sub-districts and 84 villages. In North Lingga Sub-district, Pasir Lulun Preparatory Village is experiencing serious problems in the provision of electricity. Apart from PLN, the community relies on generators funded by the Village Fund. This study aims to assess the role of local government in electricity provision and the constraints faced. Using a descriptive qualitative method, this study relates the results to Soerjono Soekanto's Role of Government theory (Riyan Tika Syafitri, 2023). The findings show the government's role as regulator, dynamizer, and facilitator with geographical challenges, small population, and inadequate road infrastructure. The Lingga Regency Government has not been effective in equalizing village electricity development
