Abstract

Village Information System (SID) is an implementation of e-government by the village government. The right of village communities to get real-time information can be hampered due to the skills and abilities of human resources and out-of-date information. The activity is focused on updating Village data and facilities through survey primary data collection. The results of the survey are up-to-date data, are integrated, and can be accessed online. The process of entering data into the SID will be continued by the Village Government Officials who manage the SID, for this reason, there is a need for a special briefing for Village Government Officials in a training activity in updating data on village facilities and infrastructure. Workshops in the form of training, practice and question and answer were carried out with feedback in the form of questionnaires before and after the workshop to assess the success of the program. The survey data that is input to the SID includes health facilities, religious facilities, agriculture, animal husbandry, plantations, educational facilities, village tourism potential, and potential disasters along with their evacuation points. This updated data is expected to be a reference for compiling the Teratak Village Development and workshop activities have been able to improve the ability of village government.

Abstract

This research is against the background of the large amount of sawdust waste that is not used so that it has the potential to become B3 waste (leakage) due to decomposition. The use of ash from waste incineration such as RHA (rice hush ash), FABA (fly ash, bottom ash) has proven successful in increasing the carrying capacity of clay soils. The combination of ash and cement additives or/and lime, for some cases, also manages to increase the shear strength of the soil. The study aims to utilize sawdust waste ash, WHA (wood hush ash) mixed with cement and/or lime for the stabilization of high plasticity clay. The research method focused on changes in swelling potential and changes in swelling pressure due to the addition of WHA. Several variations of the mixture are made to be able to conclude the best composition of the mixture from these additive ingredients. Sample testing using a Konsolidometer (Oedometer) test kit and swelling measurements by overloading the sample by 1.0 to 5.0 kPa. Samples are printed by compacting using a standard proctor by adding water according to the OMC value of the original soil. The mixture is tested without being muffled and pre-soaked. The swelling test results showed that there was a change in soil type from high plasticity clay (CH) to high plasticity silt (MH). The addition of cement, lime, WHA or a mixture of 2-3 additives is proven to reduce the potential for expansion. The addition of a mixture of additives by 10% reduces the swelling potential to a medium. The addition of lime 10% lowers the swelling potential to Low, while the addition of cement or lime, or WHA of less than 5% does not change the potential to expand the soil. The mixture that best lowers the level of soil development consists of 90% cement soil (95% Clay+5% Cement), 6% lime, and 4% WHA.

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang dilakukan oleh tim pelaksana pengabdian Universitas Riau. Lokasi kegitan pengabdian ini bertempat di Gedung Politeknik Pelayaran Sumatera Barat (Poltekpel Sumbar). Adapun kegiatan yang dilaksanakan bertujuan untuk melakukan evaluasi penghematan konsumsi energi listrik pada bangunan tiga lantai di Politeknik tersebut. Secara umum, tahapa pengabdian ini terdiri atas survei awal dan survei lapangan, melakukan pengukuran system penerangan, menganalisis konsumsi energi system penerangan Gedung, dan membuat rekomendasi potensi penghematan konsumsi energi system penerangan. Program pengabdian ini telah dapat terlaksana dengan baik dimana pihak poltekpel sumatera barat teralibat aktif saat survei dan penyediaan data. Dari hasil survei dan evaluasi yang telah dilakukan dapat diketahui bahwa kuat pencahayaan penerangan saaat digunakan pada malam hari masih dibawah ketentuan yang disyaratkan. Potensi penghematan konsumsi energi listrik yang dapat diterapkan adalah metode pendekatan efisiensi energi yaitu dengan cara penggantian lampu TL dengan lampu LED. Penghematan energi listrik yang didapat mampu mencapai 2.393,1 kWh/bulan.

Abstract

This article aims to describe community service activities carried out by the implementation team in Kualu Nenas village, Tambang District, Kampar Regency, Riau. As a village and sub-district that is very close to the city of Pekanbaru which is the capital of Riau province, this village has a very important role as a supplier of vegetable commodities. One of the difficulty faced by farmer groups is that during dry season (sunny), water sources, as one of the important factors in vegetable crops, are very difficult to obtain. To overcome this, this community engagement aims to build the solar photovoltaic generation system as an energy source for submersible pump motors to draw water from the location of water sources and deep well made by farmers on their land. With this solar PV generation system, agricultural locations that are remote from national grid (PT PLN) supply can still operate their pump motors to get water. The stages of this activity are divided into several stages, including surveying the solar PV system construction site, designing solar PV generation system and building solar PV generation system so that it can be operated properly. This activity could run well with the support and cooperation of farmer partners who are actively involved in every stage conducted.

Abstract

Simpang Petai village was formed due to the expansion of the village in 2008.  As a new village, Simpang Petai lacks facilities to face the challenges of implementing village development. The level of understanding and skills of the village officials for planning system is still very low.  The participation of UMKM in the implementation of village development needs to be carried out and strengthened as one of the bases of village stability and the driving force for improving the village economy.  The PkM Team of the Riau University Village Development Program, as Technical Assistance, helped solve village problems.  Inventarisasi PkM team, compile activities systematically and continuously, to improve the understanding and skills of officials and village communities in the process of preparing and implementing participatory village development planning. The forming of active participation of young people, as drivers of village UMKM, in development as the basis for the resilience of rural communities and the driving force of the village economy.  The activities of Advanced Welding Skills Practice, which with Product orientation, and Management Activities website Desa as the basis for village planning for Community Services and Marketing of Local Products succeeded in improving the economy of UMKM ABSTRAKDesa Simpang Petai terbentuk karena pemekaran desa tahun 2008. Sebagai desa baru, Simpang Petai minim fasilitas menghadapi tantangan melaksanakan pembangunan desa. Tingkat pemahaman dan keterampilan Aparat desa menyusun sistem perencanaan desa masih sangat rendah. Partisipasi UMKM dalam pelaksanaan pembangunan desa perlu dijalankan serta diperkuat sebagai salah satu basis stabilitas desa dan motor penggerak peningkatan Perekonomian desa. Tim Kegiatan Pengabdian Masyarakat Program Bina Desa Universitas Riau, sebagai Technical Assistance, membantu menyelesaikan permasalahan desa. Inventarisasi tim PkM, menyusun kegiatan secara sistematis dan berkesinambungan, yaitu untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan Aparat dan masyarakat desa pada proses penyusunan dan implementasi perencanaan pembangunan desa yang partisipatif. Terbentuknya partisipasi aktif para pemuda, sebagai penggerak UMKM desa, dalam pembangunan sebagai basis ketahanan masyarakat desa dan motor penggerak Perekonomian desa. Kegiatan Praktik Keterampilan Pengelasan Lanjut, yang dengan orientasi Produk, dan Kegiatan Pengelolaan website Desa sebagai basis perencanaan desa untuk Pelayanan Masyarakat dan Pemasaran Produk Lokal berhasil meningkatkan ekonomi UMKM.

Abstract

Earthquake-resistant reinforced concrete structures must pay attention to the beam-column connection area because beam-column connection is a critical area that needs to be designed really accurately so that it can reduce the energy caused during an earthquake. The beam-column connection is designed to be able to deform during earthquake shocks so as to minimize damage, especially in inelastic areas. This study aims to analyze the design of beam-column connections in irregular structures that refer to SNI 2847 2013 and SNI 2847 2019. In the analysis carried out, designed structure by method SNI 2847 2013 by using earthquake map 2010 and method SNI 2847 2019 by using earthquake map 2017. From the design carried out using of SAP2000 It is known that the size of the columns and beams is sufficient to support the shear forces that occur. There are differences in the results of the review between the planning methods SNI 2847 2013 and SNI 2847 2019. The review carried out on the shear force found that the shear force using the 2013 SNI 2847 regulation with the 2010 earthquake map was 1.149% greater than using the 2017 SNI 2847 regulation with the 2017 earthquake map. The review carried out on the shear stress found that the shear stress using the 2013 SNI 2847 regulation with the 2010 earthquake map was 1.149% greater than using the 2017 SNI 2847 regulation with the 2017 earthquake map. The review of the length of reinforcement distribution at the joint found 640 mm with transverse reinforcement used a diameter of 13 mm and a distance between reinforcement of 150 mm for both regulations, but the SNI 2847 2019 regulation requires standard hooks to be placed in the core restrained column.

Abstract

Arah kebijakan utama pemerintah terkait energi nasional adalah konservasi energi untuk meningkatkan efisiensi penggunaan dan pemanfaatan energi oleh konsumen. Dalam rangka konservasi energi tersebut maka diperlukan audit energi, yaitu suatu metode untuk menghitung tingkat konsumsi energi suatu banguan gedung. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk memaparkan kegiatan pengabdian yang dilakukan oleh tim pengabdian dalam rangka melakukan audit energi dan menganalisis potensi penghematan energi di Gedung Masjid Arfaunnas Universitas Riau. Intensitas Konsumsi Energi (IKE) di Masjid Arfaunnas Universitas Riau pada bulan Januari – Maret 2024 sebelum dilakukan upaya penghematan diperoleh hasil dengan rentang data 6 – 9 kWh/m2/tahun. Hasil IKE tersebut menurut kriteria Permen ESDM No. 13 tahun 2012 pada Gedung Ber-AC termasuk kategori efisien. Sedangkan untuk ruangan wudhu, ruang tamu, ruang utama lantai 2 dan teras. Untuk kamar gharim dan ruang utama lantai 1 termasuk kategori tidak efisien karena IKE > 8,5 kWh/m2/tahun. Setelah dilakukan upaya penghematan, diperoleh hasil IKE dengan rentang data 3,99 – 5,98 kWh/m2/tahun. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa IKE di Masjid Arfaunnas Universitas Riau setelah dirancang potensi penghematan lampu dan AC termasuk kategori sangat efisien.

Abstract

High plasticity clay (CH) has poor material characteristics, such as considerable shrinkage due to high plasticity, so soil improvement is needed, for example, using cement and coal waste (bottom ash and fly ash, BAFA). The purpose of adding cement and BAFA type C is to see the effect on changes in soil CBR values. Variations in BAFA addition are 4%, 8%, 12% and 16% and PCC cement 3% and 5%. The percentage of bottom ash content to fly ash in BAFA is 2:1. Based on the test results, an increase in the CBR bearing capacity value was seen from 0.78% in the original soil to 18% in samples with a mixture of 5% cement and 16% BAFA with 7 days of curing. The CBR sample S5-B16-C7 is the largest value of all sample variations. The increase in the CBR value is huge from 0,78% to 18.73% This value proves that the combination of mixtures can effectively increase soil-bearing capacity. Based on microscopic testing of CBR samples, it can be seen that the higher the BAFA and Cement content, the rougher and paler the changes in the sample structure are. Conversely, the sample structure is smoother at the lowest BAFA content and cement content, and the sample colour is brighter, approaching the original soil colour. The results of this study indicate that BAFA can be used as pavement materials and provide a solution to the environmental impact of industrial waste.

Abstract

The Aufia Global Islamic Boarding School (PP AGIBS) is in the village of Minas Jaya, Minas District, Siak Regency, Riau Province. The PP AGIBS curriculum emphasizes Islamic education, so it contains little in the way of science and technology competencies, such as Solar Power Plant Installation Engineering. (PLTS). In general, the village of Minas Jaya is around the former PT Chevron Pacific Indonesia, which used to be the largest oil mining company in Riau Province, and most of its residents worked at Chevron as unskilled laborers, such as cleaning staff and security personnel. The presence of PP AGIBS is very strategic considering its location around the community; however, PP AGIBS has a moral responsibility to contribute to the social issues faced by the community in the Minas Jaya village. Therefore, PP AGIBS needs to collaborate well with the University of Riau and the Minas Jaya village government to facilitate communication with the residents of Minas Jaya on issues outside the scope of Islamic studies, such as the high dropout rate among teenagers. One of the solutions implemented to address the issue of school dropouts is the initiation of the AGIBS Taruna Course and Training Institute (LKP) development. To realize the initial steps of this LKP development, several activities and role distributions were carried out. Among them, PP AGIBS contributes as the provider of infrastructure, including location, office space, office supplies, and other related facilities, while the service implementation team from Riau University provides human resources as instructors and supplies training equipment for PLTS installation techniques. With the synergy between Riau University and PP AGIBS, it is hoped that school dropouts can gain competence in the field of PLTS installation techniques.

Abstract

Pondok Pesantren Aufia Global Islamic Boarding School (PP AGIBS) di Kelurahan Minas Jaya, Kecamatan Minas, Kabupaten Siak, Riau, menitikberatkan pendidikan keislaman dengan sedikit muatan sains dan teknologi, seperti teknik instalasi PLTS. PP AGIBS memiliki tanggung jawab moral terhadap tingginya angka remaja putus sekolah di sekitar kelurahan Minas Jaya. Untuk itu, PP AGIBS bekerja sama dengan Universitas Riau (UNRI) dan pemerintah Kelurahan Minas Jaya dalam membangun Lembaga Kursus dan Pelatihan (LKP) AGIBS Taruna. Pembangunan ini diawali dengan dua kegiatan utama, yaitu penyediaan infrastruktur oleh PP AGIBS, termasuk lokasi, ruangan, dan sarana pendukung, serta dukungan UNRI dalam bentuk tenaga pengajar dan alat pelatihan PLTS. Sinergi ini mempermudah santri dan remaja putus sekolah mengakses pelatihan teknik instalasi PLTS.
