Abstract

Teater Dulmuluk sebaga teater tradisional merupakan ikon masyarakat Palembang. Sebagai tradisi lisan, teater Dulmuluk tentu saja memiliki fungsi kebermanfaatan yang dapat dijadikan pedoman dalam berprilaku bagi masyarakat khususnya masyarakat Palembang. Namun sayangnya, saat ini teater Dulmuluk berada di titik nadir. Dahulu, pertunjukannya ditunggu dan digemari masyarakat, tetapi sekarang eksistensinya mulai memudar. Berdasarkan hal ini, maka penting dikaji bagaimana fungsi-fungsi kebermanfaatan di dalam pertunjukan teater Dulmuluk sehingga dapat dijadikan pedoman dalam berprilaku bagi masyarakat Palembang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode etnografi. Adapun hasil penelitian ini, yaitu 1) berfungsi sebagai pendidikan bagi generasi muda karena di dalam pertunjukan teater Dulmuluk penuh dengan nilai-nilai kebermanfaatan yang dapat dijadikan pedoman dalam berprilaku bagi masyarakatnya; 2) berfungsi sebagai peningkatan perasaan solidaritas suatu kelompok baik antar pemain maupun bagi masyarakat penonton; 3) berfungsi sebagai pemberian sanksi social bagi yang bersalah serta mengajarkan kebaikan-kebaikan; 4) berfungsi sebagai sarana kritik sosial yang disampaikan melalui guyonan-guyonan yang segar; 5) dan dapat mengubah pekerjaan yang membosankan menjadi sebuah permainan yang mengasyikkan.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Usia pre school adalah usia 3-6 tahun merupakan masa pertumbuhan dan perkembangan anak Salah satu tugas anak pre school yaitu pelatihan toilet raining. Toilet training merupakan kemampuan mengontrol buang air kecil (BAK) dan buang air besar (BAB) secara benar dan teratur. Penggunaan diapers memiliki keterkaitan yang erat dengan kemampuan toilet training anak-anak. Tujuan: Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan penggunaan diapers dengan kemampuan toilet training pada anak usia pre school (3-6 tahun) di Posyandu wilayah kerja Puskesmas Way Halim Bandar Lampung. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan rancangan survey analitik dengan menggunakan pendekatan cross sectional. Populasi penelitian merupakan anak Pre School di Posyandu wilayah kerja Puskesmas Way Halim dengan jumlah 78 peserta menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dan sampel yang digunakan 65 responden. Instrumen menggunakan kuisioner dengan tekhnik wawancara dan observasi serta analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji Chi Square. Waktu pelaksanaan pada tanggal 02 – 29 November Tahun 2023 di Puskesmas Way Halim. Hasil: Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa anak pre school memiliki intensitas penggunaan diapers yang tinggi danmemiliki kemampuan toilet training kurang baik serta didapatkan adanya hubungan penggunaan diapers dengan kemampuan toilet training pada anak usia pre school dengan nilai P value 0,001 (P value<0,005). Simpulan: Kepada tenaga medis di Puskesmas Way Halim disarankan memberikan pendidikan kesehatan tentang batas wajar penggunaan diapers pada orang tua anak khususnya anak Pre School.

Abstract

This research dissects “The Truman Show” using metaphor, simile, and personification to expose concealed symbolism. The study employs a qualitative method, scrutinizing the film’s script based on X.J. Kennedy’s theory. Data is gathered through film observation and noting the usage of these literary devices. The film primarily uses personification (41.2%), followed by metaphor (35.3%) and simile (23.5%). These devices stimulate viewers to question reality and the media’s impact. They underscore the significance of privacy in genuine life experiences. The film serves as a warning, revealing how turning real life into entertainment can dehumanize individuals and reminding us of the value of privacy as a crucial part of a genuine life experience. The study follows a systematic process, including outlining the topic, creating the thesis layout, gathering information from the film and online research, and analyzing the symbols and meanings in the thesis. Abstract

Abstract This community service activity aims to improve the accreditation results of the Arabic Language Education study program at STAI Nurul Iman Bogor through curriculum review assistance. Through a participatory approach, the service team works with managers and teaching staff to identify the strengths and weaknesses of the existing curriculum, and design curriculum updates that are in accordance with the needs and latest developments in Arabic language education. The process of improving accreditation results through mentoring is carried out in the form of interactive counseling with material on improving the quality of study programs towards excellence, Arabic curriculum development, Arabic language learning methodology, and Arabic literature learning methodology. The results obtained from this activity include the participants having additional knowledge related to the preparation of study program accreditation towards excellence by practicing filling out accreditation forms. The participants also have references in implementing the methodology of learning Arabic language and literature through a practice so that they are ready to improve their teaching creatively. The experience and results of this activity can also be used as a reference for similar study programs in various other educational institutions. Keywords: curriculum review; quality improvement; Arabic language learning; learning Arabic literature Abstrak Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil akreditasi prodi Pendidikan Bahasa Arab STAI Nurul Iman Bogor melalui pendampingan telaah kurikulum. Melalui pendekatan partisipatif, tim pengabdi bekerjasama dengan para pengelola dan tenaga pengajar untuk mengidentifikasi kekuatan dan kelemahan kurikulum yang ada, serta merancang pembaruan kurikulum yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan dan perkembangan terkini dalam pendidikan bahasa Arab. Proses peningkatan hasil akreditasi melalui pendampingan dilakukan dalam bentuk penyuluhan yang interaktif dengan materi peningkatan kualitas prodi menuju unggul, pengembangan kurikulum bahasa Arab, metodologi pembelajaran bahasa Arab, dan metodologi pembelajaran sastra Arab. Hasil yang diperoleh dari kegiatan ini antara lain para peserta telah memiliki pengetahuan tambahan terkait penyiapan akreditasi prodi menuju unggul dengan mempraktikkan pengisian borang akreditasi. Para peserta juga telah memiliki referensi dalam mengimplementasikan metodologi pembelajaran bahasa dan sastra Arab melalui sebuah praktik sehingga mereka siap meningkatkan pengajarannya secara kreatif. Pengalaman dan hasil dari kegiatan ini juga dapat dijadikan sebagai referensi bagi program studi sejenis di berbagai institusi pendidikan lainnya. Abstract

Self-defense mechanism is part of Sigmund Freud's psychoanalytic theory. According to Freud, self-defense mechanism is an individual way of coping with anxiety-related outbursts. Anxiety can arise when there is a conflict of desire between the id and ego because the id gets a sex drive and aggression that forces the ego to do something it wants. The problem of individuals who overcome anxiety by self-defense can also occur in human "creation" in the form of characters in literary works, as in the novel. The novel to be studied in this research is a children's novel from Germany entitled Pünktchen und Anton by Erich Kästner. The main characters, Pünktchen and Anton, are still in elementary school. Pünktchen and Anton have different life problems from each other. This study aims to know in depth or to explore the type of self-defense mechanism used by the two main figures in the face of anxiety. This research is qualitative research with a content analysis method. The results show there are 31 data on self-defense mechanisms in this novel. Pünktchen uses the form of Repression 3 data, Reaction Formation 6 data, Displacement 1 data, Fixation 1 data, Disclaimer 1 data, and Rationalization 1 data. Anton uses the form of Repression 4 data, Reaction Formation 6 data, Displacement 3 data, Sublimation 2 data, and Rationalization 3 data. The second sub-focus on the type of personality of the main character, the results show Pünktchen used 4 data for id, 4 data for superego, and 1 data for ego. It means Pünktchen's personality is dominated by id and superego. Anton used 3 data for the id, 6 data for the ego, and 5 data for the superego. It means Anton has a healthy personality because he was dominated by his ego.

Abstract

This study aims to uncover the ideology embedded in the folk tale scrapbook of Timun Mas and Buto Ijo through the Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) approach based on Norman Fairclough's model. Folk tales, as a form of cultural narrative, not only convey moral messages but also represent social constructions, power relations, and ideological values that exist within society. Using Fairclough's three-dimensional analysis (text, discourse practice, and social practice), this research explores how the visuals and narrative in the scrapbook reflect and reproduce certain ideologies, such as the relationship between power and bravery, the representation of female characters, and moral antagonism. The analysis results show that the text structure and visual elements in the scrapbook contribute to a re-interpretation of gender roles, power dominance, and resistance through the symbolism of the Timun Mas character. This study emphasizes the importance of a critical reading of culture-based learning media in revealing the hidden ideologies that shape the way young people think.
