Abstract

Building construction work is one of the sectors with a high risk of work accidents, especially in activities at height. This risk is influenced by project dynamics, limited workforce experience, work environment conditions, and weak implementation of occupational safety and health (K3) management. This study aims to identify the main problems in construction work at height and evaluate the implementation of applicable K3 regulations, standards, methods, and techniques. The focus of the study is directed at the consistent application of K3 Construction methods and regulations at the stages of implementing lower structure, basement, architecture, upper structure, mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP) to testing and specifically for upper structure and MEP work, K3 Construction methods and regulations and K3 working at height are applied. The research method used is evaluative-qualitative with field observation and document analysis, followed by integrated application of K3 procedures on the projects studied. The results of the study after the joint application, references, standard procedures, regulations, K3 construction methods and K3 working at height that are consistent in the construction projects that have been observed, it is concluded that the method has been able to significantly minimize work accidents in the workplace.

Abstract

This research focuses on analyzing power losses due to load imbalance in the medium-voltage distribution network in Pasar Aceh. The aim is to determine the magnitude of power losses that occur at the distribution substation in Pasar Aceh. The research method involves analysis, calculations, and simulations using the ETAP 12.6 software. The results of the analysis indicate that load imbalance in the Pasar Aceh substation leads to power losses. The Trafo Samping Pasar Aceh experiences power losses of 0.77% with a load imbalance of 16.33%. The second transformer in the BNI 46 area incurs power losses of 0.98% with a load imbalance of 30.33%, and the transformer in the BLKG KOTTY area has power losses of 1.17% with a load imbalance of 50.33%. These findings affirm that the greater the load imbalance, the higher the resulting power losses in the electrical distribution network.

Abstract

Air pollution due to motor vehicle exhaust emissions is increased. Polluted air harms human health dan the environment. Consequently, it is essential to make a sustained effort to reduce air pollution. The purpose of this research is to investigate the effect of adding aluminum scrap to the exhaust system of a motor vehicle on gas emissions composition. The motor vehicle exhaust system was modified to accommodate aluminum scrap placement. A gas analyzer was utilized to observe exhaust gas composition, such as carbon dioxide, hydrocarbon, and carbon monoxide.  Aluminum scrap with different masses was wrapped around the exhaust's inner tube in 50 gr, 70 gr and 90 gr. The engine speed was maintained at 500 rpm throughout the testing process. It was found that the temperature of the outer exhaust tube is in a range of 40 degrees Celsius to 50 degrees Celsius. The results revealed that the most appropriate amount of aluminum scrap was 90 gr n to reduce carbon monoxide, hydrocarbon, and carbon dioxide in an exhausts gas. The surprising outcome was 76.78 % of carbon monoxide content declined, and furthermore hydrocarbon, and carbon dioxide content were deteriorated by 61.63% and 78.37%, respectively.
