Abstract

Abstract

Indonesia is one of the thrid largest rice producers after India and China, but Indonesia still imports to other countries because Indonesia's population countinues to increase. This study aims to determine the influience of harvested land area, pupulation, rice production, rice consumption, local rice prices, national rice reserves and cassava prices on rice imports in Indonesia. Hypotesis testing with multiple linear regression with help of eviews 12. The data used is a time series between 1980-2022 for 43 years. Research data is sourced from the Food Agriculture Organization (FAO), the Ministry of Trade, BPS, scientific journals and various other websites. The results showed that the area of harvested land, population, rice production, rice comsumtion, local rice prices, national rice reserves and cassava prices simultaneously have a significant influence on rice imports. Partially, the varibeles of harvested land area, national rice reserves, population, local rice prices, and cassava prices have a significant effect on rice imports in Indonesia. Variable rice production and comsumtion have an insignificant influence on rice imports in Indonesia. The implication of this study is that with the renewal of years and variables of rice subtitution goods, it is hoped that the goverment can apply effectively and effeciently, this is because it will have an impact on reducing imports, so that Indonesia does not continue to depend on other countries

Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the site class of the soil in the Tanah Kampung District in Sungai Penuh City. In this case, the method used is the HVSR microtremor method. HVSR is a method of comparing the spectrum of the horizontal component to the vertical component of a microtremor wave that recorded by seismograph. HVSR parameters were used to calculated shear wave velocity (Vs30) to defined site class. It reveals this areas classified in site class SC and SD. The area is predominantly composed of SD. This areas are characterized by soft sediments that require special handling if heavy infrastructure development is planned above them. This can be done by compacting the soil layers and mixing them with limestone.

Abstract

Physiographically, the research area is included in the South Sumatra Basin, precisely in the Muara Enim Formation, a coal-bearing formation. In this study, secondary data is used in the form of LAS file data from recording well logging data as many as 7 wells which are then processed using WellCAD 5.5 software to obtain log sheet results, namely gamma ray logs and density logs which are then interpreted for subsurface lithology by reading the log curve deflection, from the results of reading the log curve, the lithology in the research area is obtained in the form of claystone, siltstone, carbonaceous claystone, and coal. Coal is characterized by low gamma ray log response (<10 CPS) and high density log response (>900 CPS). To determine the distribution of coal seams in the study area, structural correlation and stratigraphic correlation of coal seams on strike (northwest - southeast) and cross strike (southwest - northeast) were found to be 1 coal seam, namely seam A. Seam A experienced splitting into seam A1 and seam A2 due to structural influence. From the correlation results, it is found that the coal slope is towards the southwest - northeast by experiencing thickening and thinning layers.

Abstract

Abstract

This study examines the determinants of young agripreneur capacity in the horticultural sector of Purbalingga Regency, emphasising the moderating role of climate change—an aspect rarely integrated into previous studies that predominantly focus on the direct determinants of young farmers’ capacity. Using a Partial Least Square–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) approach, this study analyzes the effects of farmer characteristics, external support, and the role of extension agents within a moderated structural framework. Data were collected from 100 young horticultural farmers in the villages of Kutabawa and Serang using purposive sampling. The results show that farmer characteristics (? = 0.267; p = 0.039), external support (? = 0.298; p = 0.009), and the role of extension agents (? = 0.261; p = 0.014) have positive and significant effects on agripreneur capacity, with the model explaining 46.1% of the variance (R² = 0.461). Climate change does not have a direct effect (? = 0.107; p = 0.269), but it significantly moderates the relationship between farmer characteristics and agripreneur capacity (? = 0.245; p = 0.044). However, it does not moderate the influence of external support (? = -0.189; p = 0.065) or the role of extension agents (? = 0.034; p = 0.740). These findings demonstrate that climate change functions as a conditional strengthening factor for individual-based capacity rather than as an institutional support mechanism. The study highlights that strengthening young agripreneur capacity requires prioritizing farmer characteristics, improving the effectiveness of external support, and enhancing adaptive extension services aligned with climate challenges.
