Abstract

The MNO City Education and Culture Office is an agency that implements a website for disseminating information about MNO city education and culture. However, there are some features provided on the website that cannot be functioned. In addition, there is also the use of uncommon terms. Therefore, this research was conducted to evaluate the appearance of the website of the MNO City Education and Culture Office. This study evaluates usability using the Think Aloud method. The system tested by involving the user, or end-user, by verbalizing on an ongoing basis of the user feels and thinks. This study conducted seven task scenarios involving eight respondents of various ages, from teenagers to adults. The results of this research are recommendations to improve the website in the form of a prototype in HTML format. This recommendation can be used as evaluation material and reference in improving and developing the website of the MNO City Education and Culture Office.  Dinas Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Kota MNO merupakan instansi yang menerapkan website dalam menyebarkan informasi mengenai pendidikan dan kebudayaan kota MNO. Namun, ada beberapa fitur yang disediakan pada website tersebut tidak bisa difungsikan. Selain itu, terdapat juga penggunaan istilah-istilah yang tidak umum. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengevaluasi tampilan website Dinas Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Kota MNO. Penelitian ini melakukan evaluasi usability dengan metode Think Aloud. Dengan metode Think Aloud ini, sistem diuji dengan melibatkan pengguna sistem, atau end user, dengan cara verbalisasi secara berkelanjutan terhadap hal yang dirasakan dan dipikirkan oleh pengguna. Penelitian ini melakukan tujuh task scenario yang melibatkan delapan responden dari berbagai kalangan usia, mulai dari remaja hingga dewasa. Hasil penelitian ini adalah rekomendasi perbaikan berupa prototipe dalam format HTML. Rekomendasi ini dapat dijadikan sebagai bahan evaluasi dan referensi dalam memperbaiki dan mengembangkan website Dinas Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Kota MNO.

Abstract

RSUD Beriman Balikpapan uses a website to introduce its facilities and services. However, there are several problems on the RSUD Beriman Balikpapan website, such as a lack of clarity in interactions and difficulty understanding the website, unclear directions, pages without content, less detailed information, and minimal interaction between users and the organization. Apart from that, an assessment of the quality of the website has never been carried out by the Beriman Balikpapan Regional Hospital. Based on these problems, it is necessary to analyze the quality of RSUD Beriman Balikpapan's website using the Webqual method and IPA (Importance-Performance Analysis) analysis. The assessment aims to increase the problem visibility to the stakeholders to improve the quality of the website. The instruments used in this research come from the Webqual 4.0 method, which includes three main dimensions: usability, information quality, and service interaction quality. The analysis technique applied is Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA), which will provide an overview of indicators that require improvement or need to be maintained based on the difference between perceived performance and user expectations. The results of the Webqual Index (WQI) calculation show an average value of 0.79, indicating that overall, the quality of the RSUD Beriman Balikpapan website is relatively good. Hypothesis testing shows significant differences between perceived performance and user expectations in all dimensions. The gap analysis produces an average gap value of -0.37. From the Importance-Performance Analysis, several indicators need to be considered for improvement. These indicators are related to the ease of navigation and use of the RSUD Beriman Balikpapan website, the provision of always up-to-date information, and services that align with the expectations promised on the RSUD Beriman Balikpapan website

Abstract

In the current era of globalization, large and small companies must develop strategies for using websites to improve business branding to the general public. Based on the results of problem identification, there are several UI/UX problems on the PT MNO website, including an unattractive appearance, messy and overlapping fonts, and a messy layout. This research aims to redesign the PT MNO website to improve its UI/UX to make it more informative, clear, and easy to use. The solution can be implemented by redesigning the website design for PT MNO utilizing the design thinking methodology. This method has five phases: Empathize, define, imagine, prototype, and test. Based on observations and interviews, three categories of problems in the current website category were found: content, navigation, and features. Then, five pages were created for the design results or mockup solutions, namely the home page, services, portfolio, programs, and about us. Testing used a usability metric, SEQ (Single Ease Question). Based on SEQ theory, if the results given by respondents are more than 5.5, then the task or scenario is considered successful or easy to do. So, the five functions in terms of convenience were easy for the five respondents to complete. Keywords: Design Thinking, Redesign, UI/UX, Website.

Abstract

The ITK Integrated Service Unit (ULT) provides integrated services and information for the community related to Kalimantan Institute of Technology. The results of interviews with ITK ULTs show that the administrative service system at ITK is not fully online, especially document printing which is still done offline by ITK ULTs. This causes problems, especially the lack of responsibility of service applicants for the documents submitted. This research develops a website-based Administrative Service Information System at ULT ITK using the waterfall method, including requirements definition, system and software design, implementation, and system integration and testing. This system facilitates access to administrative services from various locations and times, and allows printing of documents after the service is completed. This research produces three main outputs: documentation of system requirements in the Software Requirements Specification (SRS), a system developed using the Laravel framework, and system test results using the black box testing method which shows the system runs well.

Abstract

Institut Teknologi Kalimantan (ITK) merupakan perguruan tinggi yang memiliki visi berperan aktif dalam pembangunan nasional untuk menunjang kebutuhan dunia industri. Konten website profil ITK tersebut masih berupa teks, gambar dan video. Konten seperti itu telah cukup dalam memperkenalkan ITK secara umum, namun hal tersebut kurang mendukung dalam melakukan pengenalan lingkungan kampus ITK khususnya lab terpadu secara spesifik dan interaksi antara pengguna hanya sebatas melihat konten. Dari hasil diskusi yang telah dilakukan untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut menghasilkan solusi dengan melakukan rancang bangun metaverse berbasis website. Dengan diimplementasikanya sistem metaverse pada website profil ITK bertujuan untuk memberikan gagasan baru terkait pengenalan lingkungan Lab Terpadu ITK. Selain itu dibangunya metaverse ini kedepannya dapat menunjang aspek akademik lainya di ITK. Implementasi metaverse ini dibangun dengan metode multimedia development life cycle (MDLC) dan menggunakan tech stack seperti blender, threejs, react, nextjs dan pendistribusian menggunakan vercel. Dari penelitian yang dilakukan menghasilkan sebuah simulasi virtual berbasis website yang menampilkan lingkungan lab terpadu ITK dengan aset berupa bangunan gedung, ruangan lab, barang-barang di dalam lab, fasilitas dalam lab, dan karakter sebagai avatar pengguna. Sistem ini memiliki fitur interaksi dengan aset 3d dengan dua mode yaitu first person perspective dan immersive VR. Dengan sistem ini pengguna dapat lebih merasakan pengalaman interaktif melalui simulasi virtual pada lab terpadu ITK dan menjadi media alternatif yang digunakan ITK dalam memperkenalkan lingkungan kampus.

Abstract

One of the organizations that uses the website is PT Promedika Mitra Utama Samarinda. Since its establishment in 2011, the company has been serving wholesale and retail purchases with various medical device needs for hospitals, individuals, laboratory equipment, HSE safety equipment, and dentistry. The problems contained on the website are that the website is still less informative and less interactive to users, user needs for detailed and credible information related to medical devices, user needs for effective and efficient sales features, and too many components on the website. Therefore, it is necessary to redesign the UI / UX of the website to be able to meet the needs of the company and the needs of users. The stages of research carried out using design thinking methods, namely empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test. This research produces recommendations for design solutions based on problem analysis and idea solutions that have been made in terms of convenience aspects. The results of the research obtained, namely the category of current website problems in terms of customer service, copywriting, and system flow. This study produced the results of 9 menu design solutions that have a good level of ease of use based on the results of usability testing with the SEQ (Single Ease Question) method on 9 tasks carried out by 5 respondents with an average value from 6 to 6.8.

Abstract

As one of State ‘s Higher Education Institutions, the Kalimantan Institute of Technology (ITK) must perform the education and teaching function as mandated by the tri dharma perguruan tinggi, then the function is regulated in academic regulations and implemented in business processes of attendance. Currently, the attendances data are recapitulated manually at week 15 by Academic Staff. The attendance process that has been running has several problems, namely prone to violations of the actual meeting realization and attendance count, recapitulation time that takes a long time, risk of data input errors and loss of presence sheet. Based on these problems, the attendance information system is developed (SIAP ITK). This research was conducted with the agile software development methodology with the scrum framework. The results of this research is an android  application following the business processes of attendance in ITK. Based on the testing result which was carried out during this research, SIAP ITK is considered capable of optimizing the attendance process that has been running at ITK.

Abstract

Pada awalnya perguruan tinggi membuat situs web untuk mengenalkan dan mempromosikan lembaga pendidikannya. Diresmikannya Undang-Undang Nomor 14 Tahun 2008 tentang Keterbukaan Informasi Publik (UU KIP) dan Undang-Undang Nomor 25 Tahun 2009 tentang Pelayanan Publik (UU PP) menciptakan suatu keputusan di mana badan publik wajib “meningkatkan pengelolaan dan pelayanan informasi di lingkungan badan publik untuk menghasilkan layanan informasi yang berkualitas”. Penelitian yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kualitas situs web ITK dan mengecilkan tanggapan kurang baik yang diberikan mahasiswa ITK dilakukan dengan cara melakukan evaluasi dan redesign pada situs web ITK guna memperbaiki kualitas situs web ITK dan juga untuk mengurangi permasalahan yang di alami pengguna situs web ITK. Digunakan metode User Experience Lifecycle Template pada penelitian ini dikarenakan metode ini dapat digunakan untuk mengembangkan suatu produk (Prototype, Hardware, dan Software). Adapun hasil yang didapat pada penelitian kali ini ialah, pada aspek learnability meningkat 2x lebih cepat dibandingkan situs web ITK yang lama, lalu pada aspek efficiency didapat persentase pengguna mencapai tujuannya dalam menggunakan situs web ITK yang baru sebesar 94.40%, lalu pada aspek memorability jumlah klik mengalami penurunan pada situs web ITK yang baru jika dibandingkan dengan web ITK yang lama, dan pada aspek eror yang akan terjadi pada situs web ITK yang baru bernilai 1.61% kemungkinan. AbstractAt first, the college created a website to introduce and promote its educational institutions. The research aimed at improving the quality of the ITK website and discouraging the poor responses given by ITK students are conducted by evaluating and redesign the ITK website to improve the quality of ITK's website and also to reduce the problems that are in the user's natural ITK website. Used method User Experience Lifecycle Template in this research because this method can be used to develop a product (Prototype, Hardware, and Software). As for the results gained on the research this time is, on the aspects of learnability increased 2x faster than the old ITK website, then on the efficiency aspect gained the percentage of users reached its goal in using the new ITK website 94.40%, then on the memorability aspect of the number of clicks decreased on the new ITK website when compared to the old web ITK, and on the aspect of the error that will happen to the new ITK Web site worth 1.61% of the probability.
