Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model in developing collaborative skills among elementary school students. The research is guided by the question: How effective is the Project-Based Learning model in enhancing elementary students’ collaborative skills? A systematic literature review (SLR) was conducted, examining 15 peer-reviewed articles published between 2021 and 2024. Analysis revealed that 86.7% of the reviewed studies reported that PjBL significantly improves students' communication, teamwork, and shared responsibility. Key success factors include the design of contextual projects, structured learning stages, and supportive learning environments. Identified challenges include limited instructional time, group management difficulties, and varying student competencies. Recommended strategies to overcome these issues include scaffolding techniques, improved group dynamics, and comprehensive assessment tools. Furthermore, the integration of PjBL with local cultural values and alignment with the Merdeka Curriculum further supports its effectiveness in fostering collaboration. In conclusion, PjBL is a promising model for developing collaborative skills in elementary education settings.

Abstract

The sophistication of technology and information today with easy access makes filtering messages and information to students very important. In this modern era, television is no longer a luxury for Indonesian people. Cartoon shows are one of the many programs presented on the screen or other mass media. Currently, the value of the mutual cooperation character at SMPN 1 Kutorejo is still relatively low. For that, from the many animated films, the Upin and Ipin film is one of the shows that can be taken meaning and used as an intermediary to shape the character of SMPN 1 Kutorejo students. The Upin and Ipin animated film has many moral messages and character values. The value that appears most often is the mutual cooperation character. The purpose of this study was to (1) determine the response of students to the film, and (2) the impact of watching the Upin and Ipin Animated Film on the mutual cooperation character of SMPN 1 Kutorejo students. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were collected through observation and in-depth interviews. The source of the study was grade VII students. The results of the study showed that grade VII students gave a good response and the impact of watching the Upin and Ipin Animated Film had gone well in terms of the four stages of Albert Bandura's social learning theory. The positive impacts are increased social awareness, a sense of responsibility for oneself and others, prosocial behavior, and strengthening family values.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the role of parents in cultivating courtesy attitudes among adolescents and to explain the steps taken in the process of teaching manners within the community of Tulungrejo Village, Gedog Urban Village, Sanan Wetan District, Blitar City. The background of this research stems from the phenomenon of declining courtesy attitudes among adolescents, influenced by modernization and globalization, particularly within communities that have gradually accepted changes in social values. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through in-depth interviews with several parents who have adolescent children. The results of the research show that parents play an essential role in shaping courtesy attitudes among adolescents, acting as educators, role models, supervisors, counselors, and communicators. Parents also set examples by encouraging polite expressions, such as saying “please,” “sorry,” and “thank you,” monitoring their children’s social interactions and use of social media, and involving them in community social activities. The analysis uses Talcott Parsons’ structural functional theory, especially the four AGIL functions (Adaptation, Goal Attainment, Integration, and Latency), to explore how the family system helps maintain adolescents’ courtesy values amidst the challenges of modern times. In conclusion, the family has a significant contribution in instilling manners and courtesy, and the success of shaping adolescent character is highly determined by active parental involvement from an early age.

Abstract

Learning Pancasila Education in elementary schools has an important role in instilling national values from an early age. However, in practice, this learning is still dominated by conventional methods that do not associate the material with the local culture. One of the cultural potentials that can be integrated into learning is the art of ludruk, which is full of Pancasila values such as mutual cooperation, deliberation, and justice. This study aims to analyze the need for the development of textbooks based on ludruk culture to increase the effectiveness of Pancasila Education learning in elementary schools. This study uses a qualitative method with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and documentation studies. The research was conducted at SDN Tambak Wedi 508 Surabaya with 2 Pancasila Education teachers, 1 principal, and 40 students from grades IV and V as participants. The results of the study show that learning is still centered on standard textbooks without the integration of local culture. Teachers face limitations in relevant teaching materials, while students have difficulty understanding the values of Pancasila concretely. However, observations indicate that student engagement significantly improves when ludruk cultural elements are introduced, especially in discussions related to mutual cooperation and justice. In conclusion, the development of ludruk-based textbooks is very necessary to increase students' understanding of Pancasila values while preserving local culture. The recommended textbook should be contextual, interactive, and designed as a supplemental resource that aligns with the current elementary curriculum.

Abstract

Pentingnya menciptakan lingkungan sekolah yang melindungi peserta didik dari tindakan bullying dan menjamin hak yang setara diwujudkan melalui Sekolah Ramah Anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui program, proses pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi pelaksanaan program Sekolah Ramah Anak di SMP Negeri 1 Krian. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, wawancara terstruktur, dan analisis dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa SMP Negeri 1 Krian siap menuju lembaga terstandarisasi LPKRA (Lembaga Perlindungan Khusus Ramah Anak). Terdapat tiga program yang di terapkan, yaitu program pembiasaan, program anti bullying, serta program pelatihan/bimbingan teknis. Sekolah menerapkan sistem konsekuensi dengan pendekatan komunikasi terbuka dan menjalin kerja sama dengan pihak eksternal dalam penanganan kasus berat. Evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan program berjalan optimal sesuai dengan empat indikator keberhasilan kebijakan menurut Edward III. Implementasi Sekolah Ramah Anak yang sistematis, melibatkan partisipasi aktif seluruh pemangku kepentingan, dan dilaksanakan secara konsisten menjadi faktor penting dalam mewujudkan lingkungan sekolah yang anti bullying.

Abstract

Objective: This study analyzes the implementation of religious character education at Junior High School 12 Surabaya, focusing on the effectiveness of programs in shaping students' religious values. Religious character education, when consistently implemented, can foster individuals with high empathy, respect for diversity, and the ability to interact positively within their communities. Method: This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through in-depth interviews with the vice principal, religious teachers, students, and school document analysis. The study was conducted at Junior High School 12 Surabaya, located on Jl. Ngagel Kebonsari, Wonokromo District, Surabaya City. Results: The research results show Implementation of religious values at Junior High School 12 Surabaya has shown positive results, even though there are still some obstacles. Programs such as KKS and Jum'at Taqwa, as well as the habituation and role model approach, have succeeded in strengthening students' religious character. Novelty: What is new in this study is the focus on implementation of religious values ​​at Junior High School 12 Surabaya has succeeded in creating a religious and conducive educational environment, which supports the development of students' attitudes, behavior and personality in accordance with religious values.
