Abstract

Introduction: Burnout is an emotional condition that occurs when a person experiences physical and mental exhaustion due to increased responsibilities at work. Objective: The purpose of this study was to analyze the causes of Burnout Syndrome among workers at PT. X, Batam City, in 2025. Method: The research method used was quantitative research with a cross-sectional approach. The sampling technique used total sampling with a sample of 38 workers at PT. X, Batam City. Data were obtained using Chi-square test analysis. Result and Discussion: The results showed that PT. X, Batam City had a high workload category (55%), good work environment category (95%), and moderate worker Burnout Syndrome category (55%). Based on the analysis results, workload (p-value = 0.047), work environment (p-value = 0.043), and work stress (p-value = 0.019) were found to be significant. Conclusion: The conclusion of this study is that there is a significant relationship between workload, work environment, and work stress with Burnout Syndrome at PT. X, Batam City. This research suggests that companies should manage employee burnout well to prevent the occurrence of Burnout Syndrome.

Abstract

Gangguan kesehatan mental pada pekerja merupakan masalah yang perlu diperhatikan karena berdampak pada individu maupun organisasi. Lingkungan kerja yang penuh tekanan, beban kerja berlebih, serta konflik interpersonal dapat memicu stres, kecemasan, hingga burnout. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendukung kesehatan mental pekerja PT X Kota Batam melalui pelatihan relaksasi dan mindfulness. Metode penelitian dilakukan dalam bentuk program pengabdian masyarakat selama dua minggu yang mencakup observasi, perencanaan, studi pustaka, penyuluhan, serta evaluasi. Responden penelitian berjumlah 32 pekerja dari berbagai divisi, didominasi oleh sprinter sebesar 78,1%. Hasil pre-test dan post-test menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman responden tentang relaksasi dan mindfulness, dengan rata-rata skor meningkat dari 68,44 menjadi 80,94. Uji Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test menghasilkan signifikansi 0,000 (p ≤ 0,05), yang berarti terdapat perbedaan nyata sebelum dan sesudah pelatihan. Pelatihan relaksasi terbukti membantu pekerja mengelola stres, meningkatkan kesadaran diri, serta mengurangi gejala fisik dan emosional akibat tekanan kerja. Sementara itu, mindfulness berkontribusi dalam meningkatkan suasana hati, keseimbangan emosi, dan kinerja pekerja. Dengan demikian, pelatihan relaksasi dan mindfulness efektif sebagai strategi dalam mendukung kesehatan mental pekerja di PT X.

Abstract

Introduction: Nurses are the health workers with the largest presentations and play an important role in the provision of health services. Hospital Occupational Safety and Health is all activities to ensure and protect the safety and health of hospital human resources. Objective: The purpose of this study is to find out the perception of nurses about hospital occupational safety and health at Regional General Hospital X Batam City. Method: The research design is cross sectional. The research population is nurses who work at Regional General Hospital X Batam City with a sample of 73 people who were taken by the proportional sampling method. Data analysis was carried out using chi-square. Result and Discussion: The results of the analysis showed that there were 53.4% of respondents with a bad perception of Occupational Safety and Health, 71.2% of respondents with a new working period, 56.2% of respondents who had never participated in HOHS training, 90.4% of respondents who had good knowledge and 69.9% of respondents with undergraduate education. Conclusion: The results of the statistical test showed that there was a significant relationship between the length of service (p-value 0.007), HOHS training (p-value 0.000), knowledge (p-value 0.003) and education level (p-value 0.001) with the perception of nurses about hospital occupational safety and health at Regional General Hospital X hospital safety, knowledge and nurse education level.
