Abstract

1. Ada pengaruh yang signifikan status gizi, dan kepatuhan berobat terhadap kesembuhan penderita TB di Wilayah Kerja Dinas Kesehatan Kota Medan. 2. Kepatuhan berobat merupakan faktor yang paling dominan berpengaruh terhadap kesembuhan penderita TB di Wilayah Kerja Dinas Kesehatan Kota Medan yaitu penderita TB yang tidak patuh perkiraan risiko 14,87 kali tidak sembuh dibandingkan dengan penderita TB yang patuh.

Abstract

Occupational Safety and Health (K3) is a very important program to be implemented by companies, especially companies engaged in construction. The purpose of this study is to investigate the occurrence of potential hazards of work accidents in natural gas pipeline installation projects in Mega Mall Batam. The method used in this research is survey distribution and project observation. The research findings state that there were incidents of work accidents in the natural gas pipeline installation project in Mega Mall Batam, namely workers who were hit by grinding stone splashes and workers who were crushed by one of the materials that fell from above the project. The implication of the research is that the company continues to improve the quality of K3 within PT. Multi Sinar Gemilang to reduce work accidents.

Abstract

Abstrak : Pengaruh Keselamatan Dan Kesehatan Kerja (K3) Terhadap Kinerja Karyawan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja terhadap Kinerja Karyawan di Oma Tour & Travel. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, dengan sampel sebanyak 30 responden. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan menggunakan penyebaran kuesioner. Data yang telah memenuhi teknik analisis tersebut diolah dengan menggunakan bantuan program SPSS 26. Dari hasil uji statistik dapat diketahui bahwa variabel independen Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja berpengaruh terhadap variabel dependen Kinerja Karyawan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa berdasarkan hasil perhitungan koefisien determinasi besarnya pengaruh variabel independen Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja terhadap variabel dependen Kinerja Karyawan adalah sebesar 0,576 atau 57,6% yang menunjukkan bahwa Kinerja Karyawan dapat dipengaruhi oleh variabel Keselamatan Kerja dan variabel Kesehatan Kerja. Sedangkan sisanya sebesar 42,4% dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain yang tidak ada dalam penelitian ini. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Kinerja Karyawan. Dimana apabila Keselamatan Kerja terjamin dan Kesehatan Kerja baik akan meningkatkan Kinerja Karyawan.

Abstract

Preventive and control measures for tuberculosis (TB) in Indonesia, aiming for TB elimination by 2030, are part of Indonesia's commitment, including sustainable development goals. Limited knowledge, poor behavior, and suboptimal TB prevention and control measures in that company have been observed. The method of activity to be implemented with the community service partner, PT. Lancang Kuning Sukses (LKS), includes: 1) the distribution of leaflets and health promotion to improve workers' knowledge and behavior change in TB prevention and control through questionnaires; 2) direct education and training with company leaders through face-to-face interviews. Based on the results of the community service activities conducted, findings include: 1) a significant improvement in workers' knowledge and behavior towards TB prevention and control through leaflets and health promotion, 2) an awareness from the company to change actions for TB prevention and control in the workplace through direct education and training with company leaders. Based on the community service results, it is concluded that the partner PT. LKS is effective in actions for TB prevention and control at the workplace, thereby helping to reduce TB cases and assisting in the move towards elimination in Indonesia by the year 2030.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan sanitasi fisik rumah yang meliputi luas ventilasi, pencahayaan, kelembapan, jenis lantai, jenis dinding dan jenis atap dengan riwayat kejadian ISPA. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada Maret sampai dengan Juli 2023 di Kelurahan Tanjung Sengkuang. Jenis penelitian yaitu penelitian observasional dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah ibu yang memiliki anak berusia nol sampai lima tahun, besar sampel 85 responden. Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah simpel random sampling. Uji statistik menggunakan uji Chi Square dengan menggunakan program SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada hubungan antara luas ventilasi (p-value =0,175), pencahayaan (p-value =0,500) dan kelembapan (pvalue =1,000) dengan riwayat kejadian ISPA dan ada hubungan antara jenis lantai (p-value =0,059), jenis dinding (p-value =0,018) dan atap (p-value =0.014) dengan riwayat kejadian ISPA. Pengukuran luas ventilasi yang tidak memenuhi syarat sebanyak 94,12%. Pencahayaan yang tidak memenuhi syarat sebanyak 69,41%. Kelembapan yang tidak memenuhi syarat sebanyak 96,47%. Jenis lantai yang memenuhi syarat sebanyak 94,12%. Jenis dinding yang memenuhi syarat sebanyak 88,24%. Jenis atap yang memenuhi syarat sebanyak 91,76%. Tidak ada hubungan luas ventilasi, pencahayaan dan kelembapan dengan riwayat kejadian ISPA dan Ada hubungan jenis lantai, jenis dinding dan jenis atap dengan riwayat kejadian ISPA. Sebaiknya masyarakat yang ingin membangun rumah lebih memperhatikan syarat-syarat rumah sehat. Bagi penghuni rumah sebaiknya lebih membiasakan diri untuk membuka pintu dan jendela setiap pagi hari agar sinar matahari dapat masuk dan kondisi ruangan selalu terjaga kelembapannya. Bagi masyarakat disarankan rutin menjaga kebersihan lantai, dinding dan atap serta langit – langit rumah.

Abstract

Pada bagian dalam area produksi/jalur atau lebih dikenal dengan plant terdapat banyak material yang merupakan bahan baku dan bahan bakar mesin yang terdapat di PT X. Pada area di luar plant sering dijumpai perkakas atau alat kerja yang dimana alat teresebut tidak disimpan pada tempatnya dan tidak sesuai dengan kebutuhanya contohnya adalah sekop yang tidak disimpan pada tempatnya ataupun material yang tak terpakai yang tidak disimpan pada tempatnya. Tujuan dari riset ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengetahuan pekerja terkait penerapan 5R dan Safety di Area Produksi PT X Kota Batam. Penelitian ini dilakukan dilakukan di seluruh Area Produksi PT X dengan 12 pekerja sebagai responden. Berdasarkan dari hasil penelitian didapatkan hasil bahwa tingkat pengetahuan responden terkait penerapan 5R dan Safety yaitu 67,7% atau sebanyak 7 responden untuk Baik dan Kurang sebanyak 32,4% atau 5 responden. Sementara untuk hasil observasi penerapan 5 R di PT X diketahui bahwa Ringkas sebanyak 75%, Rapi sebanyak 65%, Resik sebanyak 100%, Rawat sebanyak 67%, dan rajin sebanyak 70%. Untuk hasil observasi Unsafe Condition dan Unsafe action yaitu : meskipun manajemen K3 sudah baik, tetapi kesadaran pekerja akan bekerja dan kondisi aman masih minim, karena meras sudah berpengalaman di lapangan dan masa kerja yang cukup lama. Abstract

Eye complaints are an intensive stress on eye functions, such as the accommodation muscles in jobs that require detailed observation or the retina due to improper contrast. Symptoms of eye fatigue include blurred vision, red eyes, sore eyes, and reduced accommodation ability. During welding, the decline in eye function due to aging is also related to eye fatigue, as eye endurance decreases due to pressure or stress from occupational factors affecting the eyes.This study aims to determine the relationship between safe behavior, occupational health and safety (OHS) training, and skills with eye complaints among welders at PT. X in Batam City in 2024. This research is quantitative with a cross-sectional approach. The population consists of welders at PT. X in Batam City, with a sample of 60 workers. The research instrument used is a questionnaire as a measuring tool, analyzed using the chi-square statistical test. The study results show a significant relationship between safe behavior and eye complaints (p-value = 0.001), a relationship between OHS training and eye complaints (p-value = 0.002), and a relationship between OHS skills and eye complaints (p-value = 0.005). In conclusion, there is a significant relationship, as the p-value < α = 0.05. It is recommended that the company provide knowledge to ensure welders adopt safe behavior while working, pay attention to and offer OHS training, and require workers to obtain certification or expertise in welding to prevent eye complaints among welders.

Abstract

HIV/AIDS remains a major public health issue, especially among productive-age workers. In Indonesia, over 51% of new HIV cases in 2023 were reported among workers, highlighting the urgent need for workplace-based interventions. This community service program aimed to empower workers at PT X Batam through health campaigns and early screening for HIV/AIDS. A total of 40 employees were randomly selected to participate in pre-test and post-test assessments involving knowledge and behavioral questionnaires. The intervention included educational leaflets, health campaigns, and HIV/AIDS risk screening. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon test. Results showed significant improvements in knowledge and preventive behaviors (p = 0.001). In-depth interviews with company leaders revealed growing institutional commitment to HIV/AIDS prevention. This program demonstrated the effectiveness of targeted workplace health education and screening in improving awareness and reducing stigma. The findings underscore the importance of integrating HIV/AIDS prevention strategies into occupational health policies to foster a healthier and more productive workforce.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to increase the capacity of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the Bundo Kandung Community, Tiban Lama, in utilizing digital marketing as a strategy to increase sales and competitiveness in the digital era. Problems faced by MSMEs in this community include low understanding and skills in digital marketing, minimal use of social media and e-commerce, and limitations in creating attractive promotional content. Through digital marketing training covering basic branding materials, social media strategies, digital content creation, and the use of marketplace platforms, this activity is expected to provide practical and applicable understanding to participants. The implementation method includes interactive material delivery, direct practice, and technical assistance. The results of this activity show an increase in participants' knowledge and skills in marketing products digitally, as well as the emergence of a collaborative spirit among MSMEs to increase the competitiveness of local products online.

Abstract

 Welding activities in shipyards pose risks of exposure to heat, radiation, metal fumes, and hazardous gases that can cause health problems. Initial observations show that most workers do not understand occupational safety and the proper use of PPE. This activity aims to improve welders' knowledge of occupational safety and health and provide PPE assistance. This outreach activity measures workers' knowledge before and after education using a questionnaire. Data analysis was conducted using a dependent t-test, yielding results indicating an increase in workers' knowledge after receiving OSH education, with a p-value of 0.001 < 0.05. Continuous education is necessary to enable workers to enhance their knowledge, thereby impacting safe and secure work practices at the workplace
