Abstract

Crime is any action or thing carried out by an individual, group or community that violates the law or is a criminal act, which disturbs social balance or stability in society. One of the tools used to monitor security in various places such as homes, offices and other public places is Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV). However, even though many CCTVs have been installed, many crimes still occur due to limitations in monitoring and supervision by security officers. Therefore, developing a crime detection system on CCTV using deep learning methods is considered important to increase security and reduce crime rates. The aim of a criminal detection system is to increase security and prevent criminal acts in a certain area or place. The technology used is YOLOv5 and is supported by Internet of Things-based hardware. The system succeeded in detecting violence objects 92% of the time and robbery 91% of the time in initial testing without background. In the second background test, the system succeeded in detecting violence objects 93% of the time and robbery 53% of the time. The system succeeded in detecting violence objects 91% of the time and robbery 83% of the time in real-time testing.

Abstract

Abstract

Stunting is a severe problem that significantly impacts future generations' growth and the quality of Human Resources (HR). In addition to the under-five age factor, stunting is also influenced by several interrelated factors. This research aims to apply the Certainty Factor algorithm in an expert system to detect stunting using the Case-Based Reasoning Method. The application of the CF algorithm by utilizing expert judgment has successfully strengthened the CBR method steps by calculating the similarity level. The results of the User Acceptance Test by 25 respondents showed an approval rate of 85%. If interpreted using the user approval range, these results are 81% - 100%, with a very high level of agreement. Based on calculating risky and safe stunting example cases, the CBR Method shows a similarity rate of 29.26% and 70.73%, respectively. Furthermore, safe stunting cases were analyzed using the CF algorithm with a confidence ratio of 91%.

Abstract

In this study, the stunting case incidence mapping system has been further developed, and its integration with Communication, Information, and Education (KIE) media in the health sector. This study aims to increase knowledge about the world of health, especially related to stunting, through the integration of KIE media into data visualization of stunting cases. The results of developing this system integration include a fairly good level of acceptance from the community, as evidenced by the results of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) carried out on health workers and mothers with children under five. Functional testing of the system has also been completed with the conclusion that several features need to be improved. UAT testing obtained results worth 87%, and from functionality testing a success rate reached 90%, but all improvements have been completed. Future studies that can be carried out are to implement this integrated system more widely.

Abstract

Deaf individuals in Indonesia face challenges in using voice-based technology. This study aims to develop an interactive kiosk system utilizing hand gesture detection based on Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) to provide a more inclusive solution. The research process includes collecting hand gesture datasets using MediaPipe, splitting the dataset into training and testing data with a 75:25 ratio, and training the model using a Learning Rate Scheduler. The model architecture is designed to capture patterns from keypoint data by optimizing the use of dropout layers and the softmax activation function. The evaluation shows that the model achieves an accuracy of 90.22% on the test data, with an average precision of 91%, recall of 89%, and F1-score of 90%. The trial results also demonstrate consistent performance for simple gestures, while accuracy decreases for complex gestures and greater distances. This research provides a significant contribution to enabling voice-free interaction, particularly for deaf individuals, by integrating LSTM technology into interactive kiosk systems.

Abstract

Abstract

Violence and robbery are two common forms of crime that often cause material losses, psychological trauma, and insecurity within society. Conventional CCTV systems are limited in preventing such incidents, which highlights the need for more intelligent and responsive security solutions. The primary objective of this research is to design and evaluate SmartGuard, a real-time detection system for violence and robbery based on artificial intelligence (AI) using the YOLOv5 algorithm, integrated with Internet of Things (IoT) technology for remote monitoring. This study employed an experimental design with several stages: dataset preparation, model training, testing, model analysis, and system integration with Raspberry Pi, Firebase, and a mobile application. The dataset consisted of 6,900 labeled images across three classes: violence, robbery, and normal activity. Model evaluation was conducted using a separate test dataset and analyzed with a confusion matrix. The results show that the model achieved an overall accuracy of 70.94%. The system performed relatively well in detecting violence, with a precision of 71.13% and an F1-score of 62.47%. However, recall values for robbery (47.53%) and normal activity (48.99%) were considerably lower, indicating challenges in consistently recognizing these classes. Despite these limitations, SmartGuard allows users to view and receive notifications in emergency situations, enabling them to take quick action and monitor the situation effectively.
