Abstract

Surya Paloh's political maneuver in Gatra Magazine and Tempo discussed the Surya Paloh maneuver problem that was framed by Gatra and Tempo Magazine. Media and journalists need to be independent and objective in reporting news. However, receiving the latest news about getting the same news but containing several versions of the news. Certain media reported an event with one particular aspect or side of the news. Meanwhile, the media are preaching a different side of the news. The diversity of this version of the news shows that behind the greatness of the journalists in promoting independent and objective aspects, there are still other sides besides interests, ideology, politics, economics, society, culture, religion, and others. In other words, there is still a background of good or weak journalists in reporting something that cannot be separated from the news. Based on this background, it is interesting to discuss the Construction Reality of Surya Paloh's Political Maneuver in Gatra and Tempo Magazine. By using qualitative and descriptive methods, and using Robert N Entman's framing analysis method to analyze data, the results of this study will be valid and interesting.

Abstract

The use of new media in communication shows a form of interaction that has added value. By training in communication skills through online media, creative and innovative ideas will develop, especially for promotions. This is the target of service activities for teachers at the Putra Fitri Foundation/An-Nabil Bojonggede PAUD school. Therefore, the aim of the activity is to provide digital literacy skills in using online media and the ability to write using computer media or smart devices to the teachers of the Putra Fitri Foundation/An-Nabil Bojonggede PAUD school so that they can increase their creative and innovative abilities in carrying out promotions. The form of activity is counseling and training. The results of the activity show that the development of online media in the form of websites, social media and mobile applications has had a positive impact in increasing interaction between schools and parents, the community and related stakeholders as well as increasing community interest in registering their children at An-Nabil Bojonggede PAUD School. The implication of this research is the importance of using online media as a means of communication and promotion in improving the quality of early childhood education services.

Abstract

Perdebatan yang terus berlanjut seputar klasifikasi komunikasi strategis sebagai kerangka teori atau paradigma interdisipliner sangat penting bagi bidang studi komunikasi. Makalah penelitian ini akan mengkaji bagaimana komunikasi strategis menyatukan berbagai disiplin ilmu untuk menentukan apakah komunikasi strategis merupakan pergeseran paradigmatik dalam fondasi teoretis atau tetap merupakan kerangka kerja pragmatis tentang bagaimana strategi komunikasi menyatu dengan tujuan organisasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metodologi kualitatif berbasis literatur yang melakukan analisis tematik di seluruh kontribusi utama untuk memahami sudut pandang yang ada. Hasilnya menjelaskan dua sudut pandang yang berbeda: Ada yang berpendapat bahwa komunikasi strategis berfungsi sebagai sebuah paradigma, yaitu paradigma yang memahami kembali peran yang seharusnya dimainkan oleh komunikasi dalam pengembangan inisiatif strategis, sementara yang lain berpendapat bahwa komunikasi strategis merupakan sebuah pendekatan untuk mengawasi proses-proses seperti manajemen hubungan dengan pemangku kepentingan dan manajemen krisis. Pada akhirnya, penelitian ini berpendapat bahwa sifat dualistik komunikasi strategis sebagai sebuah paradigma dan juga sebagai sebuah kerangka kerja berguna dalam dua hal: pertama, dari sudut pandang yang lebih praktis, dalam hal membantu memahami bagaimana bermanuver melalui kompleksitas yang ada di lingkungan organisasi kontemporer, yang telah diintensifkan oleh dampak transformasi digital dan perubahan ekspektasi para pemangku kepentingan.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to optimize spatial arrangement and display layout to enhance consumer appeal for the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) of the Komunitas Sukses Berjamaah Indonesia (KSBI) in South Jakarta. Lecturers from IBI Kosgoro 1957 participated in this activity, focusing on improving the effectiveness of spatial arrangement and displays, which will positively impact sales and the growth of the MSMEs. This activity began with an outreach to KSBI members on the importance of an attractive spatial arrangement and display to capture consumer attention. In this outreach, the IBI Kosgoro 1957 lecturers shared knowledge and practical experience on effective spatial design and marketing strategies through appealing displays. After the outreach, an analysis of the spatial arrangement and displays at KSBI was conducted to identify areas that needed improvement. The lecturers and their team collaborated with KSBI members to redesign the layout and displays, making them more attractive and functional. They considered factors such as product arrangement, lighting, visual merchandising, and efficient space management. Next, the implementation of changes to the layout and displays was carried out in collaboration between the IBI Kosgoro 1957 lecturers, their team, and KSBI members. They worked together to plan and execute the necessary changes. The IBI Kosgoro 1957 lecturers provided guidance and recommendations to KSBI members in optimizing their spatial arrangement and displays. The results of this activity are expected to enhance consumer appeal towards KSBI MSMEs. With effective spatial arrangements and attractive displays, MSME products are expected to be better showcased and catch the attention of consumers, ultimately boosting sales and business growth for KSBI members. This community service activity also provided KSBI members with knowledge and skills in managing their spatial arrangements and displays. They can apply design principles to increase the effectiveness of their spatial arrangements and displays in the future.

Abstract

The research purpose is to explore the of thesis guidance meaning management in communication studies programs that combined with interpersonal strategies, and to unite the interrelationships between the interpersonal communication process and the coordination of meaning management. The research method is qualitative method with a constructivist paradigm with a case study research method. The research was conducted on three campuses in Jakarta: Mpu Tantular University, Surya University and IBI Kosgoro 1957. The results showed that interpersonal communication strategies in a thesis guidance managed by interpersonal relationship approaches. It formed coordination of meaning through: openness, empathy, positiviness, supportiveness, and equality.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pelaku usaha lokal dalam memanfaatkan media sosial, khususnya TikTok dan Instagram, sebagai sarana promosi produk yang lebih kreatif, efektif, dan menjangkau pasar yang lebih luas. Latar belakang kegiatan ini adalah rendahnya keterampilan pelaku usaha dalam membuat konten digital yang menarik, sehingga promosi produk cenderung kurang optimal dan tidak mampu bersaing di era digital. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan dilakukan melalui pelatihan yang meliputi pemaparan materi, praktik pembuatan konten kreatif, serta pendampingan langsung dalam mengelola akun media sosial. Materi pelatihan mencakup strategi storytelling, teknik dasar videografi, penggunaan aplikasi editing sederhana, hingga penerapan tren digital yang relevan dengan karakteristik platform TikTok dan Instagram. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada keterampilan peserta dalam membuat konten kreatif serta meningkatnya pemahaman strategi pemasaran digital. Selain itu, beberapa peserta telah berhasil menghasilkan konten promosi yang mampu meningkatkan interaksi audiens serta memperluas jangkauan pemasaran produk lokal. Kegiatan ini memberikan kontribusi nyata dalam mendukung keberlanjutan usaha kecil dan menengah (UKM) dengan cara memperkuat daya saing produk lokal melalui pemanfaatan media sosial. Dengan demikian, pelatihan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi model pengembangan kapasitas pelaku usaha dalam menghadapi tantangan era digital sekaligus mendorong pertumbuhan ekonomi berbasis kearifan lokal.

Abstract

Small businesses, including shoe laundry services in Bekasi, West Java, are experiencing significant changes due to the increasing use of digital technology. Many owners are now looking for ways to simplify daily operations and improve their interactions with customers. This community program was developed to help shoe laundry entrepreneurs adopt the Revelle Point of Sales (POS) application, which offers features for recording transactions, managing payments, and communicating more effectively with clients. The program began with a straightforward introduction to the digital cashier system, followed by practical training sessions where participants could directly use the application and practice handling customer transactions. During the workshops, business owners learned not only how to operate the app, but also how to communicate clearly and professionally with customers, especially when dealing with digital payments and record keeping. The results were encouraging: participants reported feeling more confident in managing their finances and interacting with clients, and many found that the Revelle application made their work faster and more organized. To ensure that these improvements continue, ongoing support and consultation were offered, allowing business owners to ask questions and receive guidance as they integrate digital tools into their daily routines. This approach has helped shoe laundry businesses in Bekasi become more adaptable and responsive to the demands of a modern, digital marketplace.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji pengaruh kuat efektivitas komunikasi, kualitas fungsional dan kualitas teknis terhadap komitmen keterhubungan dengan kepercayaan sebagai variabel mediasi, metode kuantitatif yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis jalur digunakan untuk mengetahui pengaruh efektivitas komunikasi, kualitas teknis, kualitas fungsional dan kepercayaan pada komitmen keterhubungan. Ada 4 tahap regresi; Variabel komitmen keterhubungan, kepercayaan, kualitas fungsional dan kualitas teknis. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini adalah Koefisien regresi yang menunjukkan hubungan antara efektivitas komunikasi dan komitmen keterhubungan, Efektivitas komunikasi tidak mempengaruhi kepercayaan secara langsung, tetapi melalui persepsi kualitas teknis dan kualitas fungsional, Kualitas teknis diketahui juga mempengaruhi komitmen to connectedness through trust, quality and trust Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa persepsi kualitas fungsional lebih mempengaruhi komitmen keterhubungan pelanggan daripada kualitas teknis dan Kualitas layanan merupakan variabel yang mempengaruhi kepercayaan, sedangkan komunikasi yang efektif akan menciptakan persepsi kualitas layanan yang lebih tinggi di mata pelanggan Kata kunci: Analisis jalur, kualitas layanan dan kepercayaan, Komitmen Keterhubungan dengan pelanggan
