Abstract

Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a chronic autoimmune disease that mainly affects women and has various clinical manifestations involving multiple organs. The use of hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) provides some advantages. This study aimed to analyze hematological and ocular effects following short-term HCQ administration in SLE patients. A cross-sectional study was conducted from April to July 2022 at Zainoel Abidin Hospital, Banda Aceh, Indonesia, involving 23 female SLE patients. Blood laboratory parameters were assessed, and an ophthalmologist performed ocular examinations. The study showed an average hemoglobin of 11.6 g/dL. Other blood laboratory results were within normal limits. The mean duration of SLE diagnosis and HCQ use was 21.0 months and 9.7 months, respectively. There was no correlation between HCQ use duration and hematological parameters (hemoglobin, leukocytes, and thrombocytes; p values 0.38, 0.14, and 0.62, respectively). This study showed that only one SLE patient taking HCQ for less than five years had ocular problems. The prevalence of ocular and hematological effects in SLE patients treated with HCQ for less than five years is minimal.

Abstract

The utilization of solar energy through solar panels as a source of electrical energy for households and street lighting is increasing rapidly. However, solar panels face problems related to working temperature. When the absorption of solar radiation is too high, it results in a decrease in efficiency. High temperatures cause solar panels to produce lower energy than in cold conditions. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to explore the effect of aluminum cooling fins on solar panels, with variations of fin inclination angles of 30° and 45°, and compared with panels without a cooling system to reduce the working temperature of solar panels by using cooling fins and air blowing media. The results showed that at an angle of 30°, the panel temperature was 43.60°C at the 13th iteration, with a temperature drop of about 3.13%. At an angle of 45°, the temperature obtained was 41.80°C with a temperature drop of about 6.68%. Meanwhile, the uncooled condition reached a maximum temperature of 44.40°C. No cooling causes the panel temperature to be higher, and the 45° angle provides a better cooling effect than the 30° angle, although the difference is not very significant when compared to the uncooled condition.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam serta faktor pendukung maupun kendala yang dihadapi di SMP Quba Kota Sorong. Melalui pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif, penelitian ini menggali secara mendalam bagaimana Kurikulum Merdeka diterapkan dalam konteks pembelajaran PAI, mengidentifikasi kendala-kendala yang dihadapi, serta mengungkap faktor-faktor yang mendukung proses implementasi tersebut. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dengan kepala sekolah, guru mata pelajaran PAI, dan siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka telah membawa perubahan dalam praktik pembelajaran PAI, termasuk peningkatan fleksibilitas guru dalam metode pengajaran dan materi, serta upaya untuk menciptakan pembelajaran yang lebih berpusat pada siswa. Kendala yang teridentifikasi meliputi keterbatasan sumber daya pembelajaran yang kontekstual dan tantangan dalam mengakomodasi keberagaman siswa. Sementara itu, dukungan dari pihak sekolah dan kolaborasi antar guru menjadi elemen penting yang memfasilitasi implementasi. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka pada mata pelajaran PAI di SMP Quba Kota Sorong menunjukkan adanya adaptasi dan perubahan dalam proses pembelajaran, dengan potensi untuk terus berkembang meskipun perlu mengatasi berbagai tantangan yang ada.
