Abstract

Bacteria Klebsiella pneumoniae known as reason infection channel breathing lower I with symptoms of cough and difficulty breathing. Klebsiella pneumoniae is a gram-negative bacterium from the Enterobactericeae family, non-motile, short rod-shaped and facultative anaerobic which can result in infection channel urine, infection breathing And bacteremia especially in individual whose immune system is weak. One of the herbal plants with active ingredients that have antibacterial properties is katuk leaves. Katuk leaves have the ability to inhibit growth bacteria Because contain compound saponins, flavonoid And tannin. The study aims to determine the antibacterial activity and the best concentration of 70% ethanol extract of katuk leaves against Klebsiella pneumoniae bacteria. The cup-plate or well method was used with concentrations of 100%, 70%, 40%, 10%, ciprofloxacin as K+ and aquadest as K-.It was found that 70% ethanol extract of katuk leaves has antibacterial activity against Klebsiella pneumoniae bacteria. The conclusion of this study was that the most optimum antibacterial activity at a concentration of 100% with an inhibition zone diameter of 7.69 mm was classified as a moderate growth inhibition response category.

Abstract

Free radicals contribute to various diseases by inducing oxidative stress. Single black garlic (Allium sativum L.) is recognized for its phenolic compounds, which possess radical-scavenging properties. This study aimed to develop and evaluate instant granules containing black A. sativum extract for their antioxidant activity and physicochemical characteristics. An instant granule formulation was developed using a 70% ethanol extract of a single black A. sativum, with three distinct formulas containing 5%, 7.5%, and 10% extract (Formulas 1, 2, and 3, respectively). The granules were subjected to comprehensive physical quality assessments, including organoleptic properties, moisture content, angle of repose, flow rate, dissolution time, and tapped density. Antioxidant activity was quantified using the DPPH (2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl) assay, reporting IC50 values. All instant granule formulations successfully met the established physical quality requirements across all evaluated parameters. Furthermore, the antioxidant activity demonstrated a concentration-dependent effect, with IC50 values of 119.576 ppm for Formula 1, 82.000 ppm for Formula 2, and 59.962 ppm for Formula 3. This study confirms that instant granules formulated with a single black A. sativum extract exhibit significant antioxidant potential and possess desirable physical characteristics, indicating their promise as a natural antioxidant supplement.

Abstract

Abstract

ABSTRACT. Black garlic is an aged product derived from fresh garlic and exhibits potential antibacterial properties. This study aims to identify the antibacterial compounds in black garlic against Salmonella typhimurium using HPLC fingerprinting and chemometrics. The antibacterial activity of the n-hexane fraction, methanol fraction, and water fraction were analyzed using the well diffusion method. Only the water fraction exhibited an inhibitory zone against S. typhimurium of 11.96 ± 1.86 mm. The chemical profile of each fraction, analyzed by HPLC-MWD, was correlated with antibacterial activity data using Orthogonal Projection to Latent Structure. A retention interval of 2.50 – 2.99 and 2.00 – 2.49 minutes of the water fraction at a wavelength of 214 nm demonstrated a correlation with antibacterial activity. The peaks identified in HPLC-MWD at a retention interval of 2.50 – 2.99 and 2.00 – 2.49 minutes exhibited a similar pattern to the peaks appearing at a retention time of 1.12 and 1.06 minutes on the UHPLC-Q-Orbitrap-HRMS chromatogram. The resultant peak in the UHPLC-Q-Orbitrap-HRMS analysis of the water fraction indicated that it was attributed to S-allyl cysteine and S-allyl mercaptocysteine. Keywords: black garlic, metabolomics, S-allyl cysteine, S-allyl mercapto cysteine

Abstract

Mobile application security has become an important issue in the midst of increasing cyber attacks, especially on the Android platform. This research aims to analyse the vulnerability of mobile applications using the Integrated Digital Forensics Investigation Framework (IDFIF) version 2 framework with a focus on the Laboratory Process stage. The tool used is Mobile Security Framework (MobSF) for static and dynamic analysis, supported by Genymotion emulator. The results show that the tested application has several vulnerabilities, such as malicious permissions (READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE and WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE), the use of v1 signature schemes that are vulnerable to Janus attacks, as well as the ability to manipulate the application through bypass debugging. However, no vulnerabilities were found in the SSL Pinning process. These findings provide important insights into security mitigation measures, such as removing malicious permissions, updating certificate mechanisms, and encrypting sensitive data. The application of IDFIF v2 in this investigation demonstrates its effectiveness in systematically detecting and analysing mobile application vulnerabilities, contributing to the development of better security protocols in the future.
