Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kesalahan siswa proses matematisasi dan mengetahui keterkaitan kesalahan yang dialami siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal matematika level PISA berdasarkan tipe soal Aljabar yang diberikan pada tiap level. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah penelitian kualitatif dengan studi kasus sebagai pendekatannya. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 18 orang siswa kelas IX SMPN 97 Jakarta Timur. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa tes dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan kesalahan yang dominan ialah pada tahapan Understanding the Problem. Kesalahan ditunjukkan dengan kurangnya pemahaman dalam soal. Kesalahan yang cukup banyak dialami ialah tahapan Formulating Mathematical Model. Kesalahan ditunjukkan dengan tidak dapat menghubungkan soal dengan konsep matematika yang ada. Kesalahan yang sedikit dilakukan tanpa kesalahan pada tahapan sebelumnya ada pada tahapan Mathematical Problem Solving dan Reflection. Kesalahan ditunjukkan dengan proses penyelesaian yang tidak sesuai dengan tujuan, tidak teliti, tidak dapat emnghubungkan lagi pada soal. Kesalahan paling banyak berdasarkan konten soal ada pada konten pekerjaan. Pada konten pekerjaan, paling banyak di tipe grafik dan sisanya di tipe soal cerita. Kesalahan yang cukup banyak terjadi ada di konten saintifik berupa tipe grafik dan pola. Kesalahan yang lebih sedikit terjadi pada konten sosial di tipe grafik dan pribadi di tipe soal cerita. Abstract

The objective of this study is to provide an overview of relevant literature regarding the enhancement of motivation and cognitive learning achievements among high school students in physics courses through the implementation of the Discovery Learning model. The research employs qualitative methods with a focus on literature review. The research process involves stages such as collecting, screening, presenting, discussing, and drawing conclusions from papers. The primary data source for this study comprises national journal articles published over the last five years (2018 to 2023). Among the identified articles, 10 out of 16 were found to align with the specified thematic focus. The application of the Discovery model in high school physics classes is executed in accordance with the referenced theoretical framework. Consequently, the implementation of the Discovery Learning model is shown to have a positive impact on increasing both motivation and cognitive learning outcomes for high school students in physics classes.

Abstract

Abstract The quality of education in Kabupaten Sukabumi still poses serious challenges, as reflected in its Human  Development Index (HDI) which is below the national average. One of the main causes is the lack of  training for teachers, especially in developing instruments to measure abstract variables in students such  as motivation, interest and attitude. This training aims to increase the capacity of SMA/SMK teachers in  developing effective questionnaires to measure latent variables in students through lecture, question and  answer, and simulation methods. The training evaluation was conducted using pre-test and post-test scores  analyzed by Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test, showing a significant increase in participants' knowledge (p <  0.05). In addition, the results of the “Who Am I” questionnaire showed that most participants have an  optimistic and confident personality, which supports learning and applying new knowledge. The training  proved effective in improving teachers' competencies, with the majority of participants finding the training  materials relevant and useful. Follow-up coaching is recommended to support further application and  development of skills.   Abstrak Kualitas pendidikan di Kabupaten Sukabumi masih menunjukkan tantangan serius, hal tersebut tercermin  dari nilai Indeks Pembangunan Manusia (IPM) Kabupaten Sukabumi yang berada di bawah rata-rata  nasional. Salah satu penyebab utamanya adalah karena kurangnya pelatihan bagi guru, terutama dalam  menyusun instrumen untuk mengukur variabel abstrak dalam diri siswa seperti motivasi, minat, dan sikap  siswa. Pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas guru SMA/SMK dalam menyusun kuesioner  yang efektif untuk mengukur variabel laten dalam diri siswa melalui metode ceramah, tanya jawab, dan  simulasi. Evaluasi pelatihan dilakukan menggunakan skor pre-test dan post-test yang dianalisis dengan  Uji Wilcoxon Signed Rank, menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan peserta secara signifikan (p < 0,05). Selain itu, hasil kuesioner "Who Am I" menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar peserta memiliki kepribadian  yang optimis dan percaya diri, yang mendukung pembelajaran dan penerapan pengetahuan baru.  Pelatihan ini terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kompetensi guru, dengan mayoritas peserta merasa  bahwa materi pelatihan relevan dan bermanfaat. Disarankan adanya pembinaan lanjutan untuk  mendukung penerapan dan pengembangan keterampilan lebih lanjut.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to re-identify the influence of the constructivist approach on the ability to understand mathematical concepts. After that, the results of the analysis are combined and a conclusion is drawn about the problem as a whole. The method in this research is a literature review. This research is related to collecting, reading and storing library information, as well as processing library materials without involving field research. Data collection comes from journals indexed by Sinta and Google Scholar for the last 7 years. The keywords for the search are "Constructivism" and "Understanding Concept Mathematics Ability". From the search, 10 articles were obtained that met the criteria. The data collection obtained was then analyzed as research findings using qualitative analysis. Based on the results and discussion, it was found that students' ability to understand concepts can be influenced by the application of a constructivist approach

Abstract

The moral crisis affecting today’s young generation in Indonesia has become a serious concern in the midst of globalization and digitalization. Traditional values are increasingly marginalized by the rise of instant gratification, hedonism, and individualism. This article explores the role of psychology in supporting the implementation of character education as a strategic solution to address this issue. Using a qualitative approach through literature review, the findings reveal that psychology plays a crucial role in shaping students’ character through understanding cognitive development, self-regulation, emotional intelligence, and experiential learning. However, challenges such as limited educator competence, weak collaboration between schools and families, and the negative influence of social media hinder the implementation process. Therefore, integrating psychological approaches with an adaptive education system is essential to foster a resilient and morally grounded generation.

Abstract

Teknologi digital berkembang pesat dan mulai merambah ke berbagai bidang kehidupan, termasuk dunia pendidikan. Di Indonesia, perubahan ini terasa nyata, terutama sejak masa pandemi yang memaksa banyak kegiatan belajar mengajar beralih ke sistem daring. Artikel ini membahas bagaimana teknologi mengubah cara belajar, sekaligus melihat apa saja tantangan dan peluang yang muncul dari perubahan ini. Di satu sisi, digitalisasi membantu memperluas akses pendidikan dan membuka banyak cara baru untuk belajar. Namun di sisi lain, masih banyak tantangan, seperti belum meratanya akses internet, keterbatasan kemampuan guru dalam mengoperasikan teknologi, dan kurikulum yang belum sepenuhnya mendukung pembelajaran digital. Oleh karena itu, perlu adanya kerja sama yang serius antara pemerintah, sekolah, dan masyarakat agar pendidikan digital di Indonesia bisa berjalan dengan lebih baik dan merata untuk semua.

Abstract

Teaching materials are the main component in supporting the learning process. Teaching materials that are adjusted to the characteristics of students' needs can improve students' mathematical skills, one of which is numeracy skills. These skills are very much needed by individuals in the 21st century. The purpose of this study was to determine the analysis of the needs of teaching materials needed by students so that they can improve their numeracy skills with realistic mathematics learning based on liveworksheets. This research method is quantitative descriptive with data collection using survey results distributed via google form. The survey was conducted on junior high school students in the Cijantung area. The results of the study indicate that the development of teaching materials is needed to improve numeracy skills in these schools with realistic mathematics learning based on liveworksheets.

Abstract

This article aims to develop an instructional design in applying the Jigsaw cooperative learning model to the ability to understand mathematical concepts and the self-efficacy of students at SMK N 26 Pembangunan Jakarta. The learning material chosen is lines and series, covering the following sub-topics: Arithmetic series, geometric series, arithmetic series, and geometric series. The steps before forming the instructional design carried out a needs analysis in which classroom observations and teacher and student interviews were carried out. After the needs analysis is obtained, a learning plan is formed that will be created and will be implemented in the next lesson.

Abstract

The instructional design with a problem-solving approach is essential for enhancing students' Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) in secondary education. The aim of this research is to develop an effective and measurable learning process that can improve students' HOTS through a problem-solving approach, with a particular focus on the topic of integrals, which students often find challenging. The research method used in this study is Instructional Design Development, which integrates student needs analysis, clear learning objectives, and the application of innovative and relevant instructional strategies. This research involves a comprehensive analysis of various theories and best practices in problem-based learning, as well as evaluating its effectiveness through classroom trials. The sources of information evaluated include academic journals, textbooks, and previous research reports, providing diversity and validity of data for analysis. This analysis includes the definition of HOTS, HOTS indicators investigated, and the strategies and methods commonly used in problem-solving learning. This research aims to provide a deeper understanding of how instructional design with problem-solving can enhance students' HOTS, particularly in understanding and mastering integral material. The results of this research are expected to significantly contribute to the development of more effective and efficient learning strategies, focusing on developing students' critical and creative thinking skills in education.

Abstract

This article examines the development of mathematics learning design using the Dick and Carey model in material simplifying algebra forms for class VII SMPN 217 Jakarta. Learning design refers to the process of planning and developing effective learning structures, strategies and activities to achieve desired learning goals. The purpose of writing this article is to explain the steps for developing learning design by applying the Dick and Carey model in designing mathematics learning on material that simplifies algebraic forms. The results of developing designs using the Dick and Carey model in developing mathematics learning designs can help teachers in designing and implementing learning.
