Abstract

The use of Information Technology (IT) in a university raises various problems, one of which is the understanding of risks its use. Universitas Quality Medan was identified as having no IT risk documents. This study aims to analyze and rank risks provide recommendations for improvements. Risk assessment is carried out on 9 business processes use COBIT 5 framework in domains APO12 and EDM03, the risk level assessment uses FMEA, for rank and recommendations using SAW. The current risk management process is still level 1 with the APO12 capability value of 1.36 and to be conditions at level 2 a capability value of 2.32 a gap of 0.96. EDM03 current condition is at level 1 a capability value of 1.19, while the expected condition at level 2 a capability value of 2.11 a gap value of 0.91. The results of the identification of risk levels in the APO12 have 3 risk level processes on a scale of 6, 1 process a scale of 7, and 2 processes a scale of 8. For EDM03, have 2 risk level processes a scale of 9 and 1 process level of risk on a scale 8. Priority of risks and recommendations for APO12 is subdomains APO12.06 (Respond to Risk) the most priority to improve management process, and for EDM03 subdomains is the priority for improvement in EDM03.03 (Monitor Risk Management)

Abstract

Social media platforms like Instagram play a significant role in the daily lives of many individuals. To understand user experiences with social media, we can read reviews and ratings provided by users. However, these ratings often may not accurately reflect the content of their reviews. Therefore, it is important to analyze these responses to understand the common complaints users have. This study aims to develop an accurate sentiment analysis method for Instagram user reviews by combining Naïve Bayes with a lexicon-based approach to address the discrepancy between star ratings and the content of reviews. The main issue addressed is how to accurately analyze Instagram user sentiment, given the potential discrepancies. To tackle this problem, the study employs a Naïve Bayes method combined with a lexicon-based approach to determine positive and negative sentiments towards user reviews. The testing results show an accuracy of 92%, with a precision of 84%, recall of 91%, and an F1-Score of 87%.

Abstract

Diabetes merupakan penyakit yang banyak diderita oleh semua kalangan usia, salah satu penyakit yang menyiksa dengan angka kematian yang tinggi, maka perlu dilakukan diagnosis diabetes stadium awal karena penyakit ini jarang terdeteksi secara dini oleh tubuh yang terkena diabetes. Dalam proses diagnosis, masalah yang paling sering terjadi adalah waktu pengambilan keputusan dan ketepatan diagnosis yang ditemui dalam proses klasifikasi. Atribut penting dalam pengambilan keputusan diabetes tahap awal, sehingga perlu diketahui atribut utama diabetes. Seringkali diperoleh hasil yang berbeda dalam proses diagnostik karena banyak atribut yang digunakan dalam pengambilan keputusan. Sehingga perlu dilakukan proses pengurangan atribut diabetes. Metode Principal Component Analysis (PCA) dapat digunakan untuk mereduksi data dengan dimensi besar dan mereduksi peringkat atribut. Proses klasifikasi dapat dilakukan dengan menggunakan algoritma random forest dan mendapatkan tingkat akurasi dalam proses klasifikasi. Pengujian dengan perbandingan 90:10, 80:20, 70:30 hasil prediksi penyakit menggunakan metode random forest memiliki hasil dan tingkat akurasi yang berbeda.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menggunakan COBIT 2019 sebagai kerangka kerja untuk mengevaluasi tata kelola TI pada PT. Pundi Mas Berjaya (Jova Software) Medan. Penelitian ini dimulai dengan melakukan identifikasi domain menggunakan design factor. Dari hasil identifikasi terdapat 3 domain yang perlu dilakukan evaluasi, yakni BAI.04, BAI.11, dan APO.11. Tahap selanjutnya adalah dengan melakukan penilaian level kapabilitas yang dimulai dengan menyebarkan kuesioner kepada kepala divisi TI perusahaan, dimana data hasil kuesioner digunakan untuk menilai level kapabilitas dengan hasil BAI.04 berada di level kapabilitas 4, BAI.11 berada di level kapabilitas 3, dan APO.11 berada di level kapabilitas 2. Selanjutnya dilakukan analisis kesenjangan berdasarkan hasil penilaian level kapabilitas. Didapati kesenjangan untuk BAI.04 sebesar 0, BAI.11 sebesar 1, dan APO.11 sebesar 2. Pemberian rekomendasi berdasarkan analisis kesenjangan, diberikan sebanyak 13 rekomendasi untuk mengatasi kesenjangan yang terjadi saat ini. Abstract

This study investigates the factors influencing the adoption of online transportation services, focusing on loyalty programs within the UTAUT2 framework. Online transportation platforms, such as Gojek and Grab, have revolutionized service delivery in Indonesia, yet customer retention remains a challenge. Utilizing an extended UTAUT2 model, this research incorporates constructs like Hedonic Motivation, Price Value, and Habit, alongside moderating variables such as Age, Gender, and Experience. Data from 413 active users in Medan City were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) via SmartPLS 3. Results highlight the critical role of loyalty programs in enhancing user engagement and retention by boosting behavioral intentions and actual usage behaviors. Findings offer actionable insights for platform providers to optimize marketing strategies and improve customer loyalty through tailored program designs.

Abstract

This study aims to identify factors that influence students' intention and behavior in using ChatGPT at Mikroskil University. The method used in this study is the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT2), with the addition of the curiosity variable. Other variables analyzed included Performance Expectations, Effort Expectations, Social Influence, Facilitating Conditions, Hedonic Motivation, Price Value, and Habit. To collect data, the research team conducted a survey of active students of the Faculty of Informatics at the university. Data analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), a method that allows researchers to understand complex relationships between variables. The results showed that several factors had a significant influence on the intention and behavior of using ChatGPT. Hedonic Motivation, Habit, and Curiosity were found to be the main factors driving the intention to use ChatGPT. Facilitating Conditions also contributed to the use of the technology. On the other hand, some variables did not show a significant impact on usage intention. Performance Expectancy, Effort Expectancy, Social Influence, and Price Value fall into this category. These findings suggest that the factors that drive technology use may vary, and highlight the importance of curiosity and personal motivation in the adoption of new technologies in higher education settings.

Abstract

The State Islamic University of North Sumatra (UIN-SU) Medan has the responsibility for the management and security of information technology (IT). However, the results of an interview with the Head of PUSTIPADA UIN-SU Medan revealed several problems, such as lack of strategic planning, absence of long-term vision, limited resources, lack of competent staff in IT management, and no audits have been conducted. To overcome these problems, an evaluation of IT governance capabilities was conducted using the COBIT 2019 framework and Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) to measure the level of organizational maturity. The results showed that the priority domain MEA03 (Managed Compliance with External Requirements) obtained a score of 100. Based on CMMI, the MEA03 domain reached a maturity level of 100% and was at the Fully Achieved capability level (85–100%). Thus, the capability level objective process MEA03 has reached level 5 and the audit status is declared achieved.

Abstract

Abstract: Advancements in digital technology have significantly transformed communication and learning. Traditional learning methods have limitations in providing a fast and interactive learning environment, necessitating accessible technology that enhances student and teacher engagement while ensuring convenience. WhatsApp has emerged as a widely used solution due to its accessibility, privacy features, and cross-platform compatibility, offering users a sense of convenience. This study examines the role of Perceived Convenience in the acceptance and use of WhatsApp in secondary education in Medan City using the UTAUT2 Model. A survey was conducted with 439 respondents from 8 secondary schools in Medan and analyzed using SEM-PLS with SmartPLS-4. The results indicate that social influence, hedonic motivation, habit, and perceived convenience positively impact the intention to use WhatsApp. Additionally, facilitating conditions, perceived convenience, and intention to use significantly influence actual usage behavior. However, performance expectancy, effort expectancy, and price value do not affect either intention or behavior in using WhatsApp. Moderating variables such as age, gender, and experience partially moderate the relationships between independent factors and WhatsApp usage intention and behavior. This study contributes by incorporating Perceived Convenience into the UTAUT2 Model and affirming its role in educational technology adoption.            Keywords: perceived convenience; secondary education; UTAUT2; whatsapp  Abstrak: Kemajuan teknologi digital telah membawa perubahan signifikan dalam komunikasi dan pembelajaran. Metode pembelajaran tradisional memiliki keterbatasan dalam menyediakan lingkungan belajar yang cepat dan interaktif, sehingga diperlukan teknologi yang mudah diakses, meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa dan guru, serta nyaman digunakan. WhatsApp menjadi salah satu solusi dan banyak digunakan karena mudah diakses, privasi yang ditawarkan, serta kompatibilitas lintas platform sehingga memberikan kenyamanan yang dapat dirasakan pengguna ketika menggunakannya. Oleh karena itu, Penelitian ini menguji peran Persepsi Kenyamanan terhadap penerimaan dan penggunaan WhatsApp dalam pendidikan menengah di Kota Medan menggunakan Model UTAUT2. Survei dilakukan pada 439 responden dari 8 sekolah menengah di kota Medan, dan dianalisis dengan SEM-PLS menggunakan SmartPLS-4. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa social influence, hedonic motivation, habit, dan perceived convenience berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap behavioral intention. Sementara itu, facilitating conditions, perceived convenience, dan behavioral intention berdampak positif pada use behavior. Namun, performance expectancy, effort expectancy, dan price value tidak berpengaruh terhadap niat maupun perilaku penggunaan WhatsApp. Variabel moderasi usia, jenis kelamin, dan pengalaman memoderasi sebagian hubungan antara faktor bebas terhadap niat dan perilaku penggunaan WhatsApp. Penelitian ini berkontribusi dengan menambahkan variabel persepsi kenyamanan (perceived convenience) ke dalam Model UTAUT2 dan menegaskan perannya dalam adopsi teknologi pendidikan. Kata kunci: pendidikan menengah; persepsi kenyamanan; UTAUT2; whatsapp

Abstract

AI Chatbot is a computer program integrated with artificial intelligence designed to interact with humans and provide useful information. AI Chatbot offers anonymity, one of the factors motivating someone to use it since they feel safe. Indonesian students nowadays inhibit shyness to ask questions and participate in learning due to anxiety factors and fear of negative judgment. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct a test to understand the extent of acceptance factors of AI Chatbots. This research aims to examine the effect of anonymity variable on the use of AI Chatbots among university students at Medan using the UTAUT2 model. A survey was conducted on 421 students. Using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) model with the help of SmartPLS software, this study introduces the anonymity variable in the UTAUT2 model, which has a positive and significant effect on students’ behavioral intention to use AI Chatbots. These findings also show that price value and habit have a positive and significant effect on behavioral intention, also habit and behavioral intention effect students’ behavior towards AI Chatbots at Medan. However, performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, facilitating conditions, and hedonic motivation do not affect the students’ behavioral intention and behavior towards AI Chatbots

Abstract

This thesis investigates the influence of personalization features in e-wallet applications on user satisfaction among Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Medan City. Using the DeLone and McLean Information System Success Model (2003) as the theoretical foundation, this study highlights the importance of aligning system functions with the specific characteristics and conditions of individual users, especially within the dynamic context of MSMEs. The research introduces a novel approach to personalization by focusing on contextual and emotional dimensions, where e-wallet systems adapt to user conditions such as time of transaction, frequency of usage, and behavioral financial patterns. Unlike conventional personalization, which primarily targets content or interface, contextual-emotional personalization considers psychological nuances and daily financial habits, aiming to create a more human-centered and adaptive digital experience. The study employs a quantitative approach through the distribution of structured questionnaires to 200 MSME respondents who actively use e-wallets in their business operations. Data collected was analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with the assistance of SmartPLS 4 software. The results demonstrate that contextual and emotional personalization has both direct and indirect effects on user satisfaction through intermediary variables such as system quality, information quality, and service quality. These findings offer practical implications for digital financial service providers aiming to improve user experience and strengthen system engagement. Additionally, the research contributes to the academic discourse by extending the DeLone and McLean model into new areas of emotional and contextual adaptability in information systems.
