Abstract

AI Chatbot is a computer program integrated with artificial intelligence designed to interact with humans and provide useful information. AI Chatbot offers anonymity, one of the factors motivating someone to use it since they feel safe. Indonesian students nowadays inhibit shyness to ask questions and participate in learning due to anxiety factors and fear of negative judgment. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct a test to understand the extent of acceptance factors of AI Chatbots. This research aims to examine the effect of anonymity variable on the use of AI Chatbots among university students at Medan using the UTAUT2 model. A survey was conducted on 421 students. Using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) model with the help of SmartPLS software, this study introduces the anonymity variable in the UTAUT2 model, which has a positive and significant effect on students’ behavioral intention to use AI Chatbots. These findings also show that price value and habit have a positive and significant effect on behavioral intention, also habit and behavioral intention effect students’ behavior towards AI Chatbots at Medan. However, performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, facilitating conditions, and hedonic motivation do not affect the students’ behavioral intention and behavior towards AI Chatbots

Abstract

This thesis investigates the influence of personalization features in e-wallet applications on user satisfaction among Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Medan City. Using the DeLone and McLean Information System Success Model (2003) as the theoretical foundation, this study highlights the importance of aligning system functions with the specific characteristics and conditions of individual users, especially within the dynamic context of MSMEs. The research introduces a novel approach to personalization by focusing on contextual and emotional dimensions, where e-wallet systems adapt to user conditions such as time of transaction, frequency of usage, and behavioral financial patterns. Unlike conventional personalization, which primarily targets content or interface, contextual-emotional personalization considers psychological nuances and daily financial habits, aiming to create a more human-centered and adaptive digital experience. The study employs a quantitative approach through the distribution of structured questionnaires to 200 MSME respondents who actively use e-wallets in their business operations. Data collected was analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with the assistance of SmartPLS 4 software. The results demonstrate that contextual and emotional personalization has both direct and indirect effects on user satisfaction through intermediary variables such as system quality, information quality, and service quality. These findings offer practical implications for digital financial service providers aiming to improve user experience and strengthen system engagement. Additionally, the research contributes to the academic discourse by extending the DeLone and McLean model into new areas of emotional and contextual adaptability in information systems.

Abstract

PT Adidaya Infocom Lestari menghadapi tantangan dalam menentukan lokasi pemasaran yang optimal untuk produk layanan internetnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan sistem pendukung keputusan (SPK) menggunakan metode Profile Matching untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut. Metode ini dipilih karena kemampuannya membandingkan profil ideal lokasi dengan profil lokasi aktual berdasarkan kriteria yang ditentukan perusahaan. Penelitian melibatkan identifikasi faktor-faktor penting dalam pemilihan lokasi, seperti demografi, potensi pasar, dan faktor lingkungan bisnis. Kemudian, SPK dibangun dengan menerapkan metode Profile Matching untuk mengevaluasi dan meranking lokasi-lokasi potensial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa SPK berhasil mengidentifikasi lokasi-lokasi pemasaran yang paling layak. Implementasi SPK ini juga meningkatkan efisiensi dan efektivitas pengambilan keputusan perusahaan terkait lokasi pemasaran. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi signifikan bagi perusahaan dalam mengoptimalkan strategi pemasaran dan alokasi sumber daya.

Abstract

This study investigates how User Interface elements affect student satisfaction with E?Learning platforms among junior high school, senior high school, and vocational high school students in Medan by adopting the End User Computing Satisfaction model augmented with a dedicated User Interface quality construct. It examines Content, Accuracy, Format, Ease of Use, Timeliness, and overall Interface Perception as predictors of End User Computing Satisfaction. Data were gathered via questionnaires administered to students actively using E?Learning applications across these three school levels in Medan and Structural Equation Modeling was employed to explore the complex interrelationships among these constructs. Results reveal that Accuracy, Format, Ease of Use, and Timeliness each exert positive and significant influences on perceived Interface quality, with Ease of Use contributing most strongly, while Content presentation alone does not significantly affect perceptions. Furthermore, perceived Interface quality demonstrates a very strong and significant impact on End User Computing Satisfaction. These findings indicate that in the context of Medan’s junior high school, senior high school, and vocational high school digital learning environments, intuitive usability, clear visual formatting, information accuracy, and prompt delivery are critical drivers of student satisfaction. This study underscores the need for E?Learning developers and educational policymakers to prioritize intuitive, reliable, and responsive interface designs and recommends that future research broaden sample coverage to additional regions, compare multiple E?Learning platforms, and adopt longitudinal designs to capture how Interface element effects on student satisfaction evolve over time.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the level of public anxiety towards the Human Metapneumovirus (HMPV) virus, through a sentiment analysis approach carried out on social media. In this study, the Word2Vec model is used as the main method for feature extraction, which functions to represent words based on relevant semantic contexts. This approach allows for a deeper understanding of the meaning of words in people's comments and posts. In addition, two main classification algorithms, namely Support Vector Machine (SVM) and Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory (Bi-LSTM), are evaluated to determine their effectiveness in detecting and classifying primary sentiments, whether positive, negative, or neutral. The data collected came from Twitter using a special crawling method, resulting in 5,000 tweets that have been manually labeled according to their categories. The results showed that the Word2Vec model with a 200-dimensional vector was able to capture relevant and deep semantic meanings towards social and health contexts. For the classification algorithm, SVM obtained an accuracy of 82.67%, although it had difficulty identifying neutral sentiments. In contrast, Bi-LSTM performed better, with an accuracy of 89.72%, and was able to recognize emotional patterns that were not explicitly visible in the data. These findings confirm that the combination of Word2Vec and Bi-LSTM is the most effective approach to detecting public anxiety about health issues. This study also provides important insights into the dynamics of public sentiment on social media and opens up opportunities for the development of more adaptive sentiment analysis models in the future.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the moderating effect of technology readiness on the use of E-learning among students, with a focus on a case study at SMP Sutomo 1 Medan. E-learning has become an increasingly popular method of learning, especially in the context of distance education. The Delone and McLean theory is used as the theoretical framework to examine the use of E-Learning and technology readiness, consisting of variables such as optimism, innovativeness, discomfort, and insecurity as moderation variables. The research method is quantitative, and the data source is obtained through a questionnaire from 332 students at SMP Sutomo 1 Medan. Data analysis is conducted using SmartPLS 3 and hypothesis testing. The research results indicate accepted hypotheses in the relationships between Information Quality and Intention to use, Service Quality and Intention to use, Information Quality and User Satisfaction, Service Quality and User Satisfaction, User Satisfaction and Net Benefit, and the optimism variable moderating System Quality on Intention to use. Rejected hypotheses include System Quality with Intention to use, and the moderation variables of innovativeness, discomfort, and insecurity that do not influence the relationship between System Quality and User Satisfaction

Abstract

This study aims to identify factors that influence students' intention and behavior in using ChatGPT at Mikroskil University. The method used in this study is the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT2), with the addition of the curiosity variable. Other variables analyzed included Performance Expectations, Effort Expectations, Social Influence, Facilitating Conditions, Hedonic Motivation, Price Value, and Habit. To collect data, the research team conducted a survey of active students of the Faculty of Informatics at the university. Data analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), a method that allows researchers to understand complex relationships between variables. The results showed that several factors had a significant influence on the intention and behavior of using ChatGPT. Hedonic Motivation, Habit, and Curiosity were found to be the main factors driving the intention to use ChatGPT. Facilitating Conditions also contributed to the use of the technology. On the other hand, some variables did not show a significant impact on usage intention. Performance Expectancy, Effort Expectancy, Social Influence, and Price Value fall into this category. These findings suggest that the factors that drive technology use may vary, and highlight the importance of curiosity and personal motivation in the adoption of new technologies in higher education settings.

Abstract

The advancement of information technology has driven a significant transformation in the banking sector through digital banking, which has now become the backbone of modern financial services. Digital banking offers efficiency, ease of transactions, and reduced operational costs. Despite these benefits, challenges remain, particularly the high initial investment costs and the complexity of customer adoption. Without a well-designed user acceptance strategy, substantial investments risk being underutilized. Therefore, a deep understanding of the factors influencing digital banking adoption is crucial to ensure the effectiveness of digital transformation initiatives. Previous studies have examined the acceptance and use of digital banking using popular models such as TAM, UTAUT, and UTAUT2. However, fragmented findings—caused by variations in results and the inclusion of additional variables—pose challenges for generalization. This study aims to develop a more comprehensive model of digital banking acceptance through a systematic review and meta-analysis. The results indicate that most core constructs of UTAUT2—such as Performance Expectancy, Effort Expectancy, Facilitating Conditions, Social Influence, Habit, Price Value, and Hedonic Motivation—are significant. Furthermore, external variables such as Trust, Perceived Security, Enterprise Image, Promotions, and Perceived Risk also play a role, thereby extending the model beyond the generic framework. The proposed model is expected to enrich the development of technology acceptance theory by introducing a context-specific framework for digital banking. It also provides strategic guidance for the banking industry to enhance adoption through targeted interventions on the most influential variables. Consequently, this model can serve as a stronger foundation for both institutional practices and future research in the field.

Abstract

Perubahan proses belajar mengajar menjadi daring dilaksanakan oleh STMIK Mikroskil untuk mematuhi kebijakan yang dibuat Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan dalam masa darurat penyebaran covid-19 di Indonesia. Sebelum covid-19 terjadi, STMIK Mikroskil telah menerapkan E-learning yaitu moodle. Namun selama pandemi covid-19 penggunaan E-learning meningkat pesat dan tidak dapat mendukung besarnya transaksi yang dilakukan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran online, sehingga STMIK Mikroskil memutuskan untuk menggunakan Microsoft Teams sebagai media pembelajaran online. Dengan menggunakan Microsoft Teams, diharapkan interaksi antara dosen dan mahasiswa berlangsung secara rutin dan tepat waktu, mendukung serta bersifat membangun. Sehingga perlu dilakukan pengujian untuk memahami sejauh mana faktor penerimaan dan pemanfaatan teknologi Microsoft Teams di STMIK Mikroskil. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh interaktivitas pada penerimaan sistem Microsoft Teams dengan menggunakan Model UTAUT. Secara khusus, survei dilakukan pada mahasiswa aktif STMIK Mikroskil jurusan Teknik Informatika dan Sistem Informasi, yang mencakup 348 responden. Dengan menggunakan model persamaan struktural (SEM) dan perangkat lunak SmartPLS. Kontribusi utama penelitian ini adalah pengenalan variable interaktivitas pada model UTAUT yang memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap minat pemanfaatan sistem. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa ekspektasi kinerja, pengaruh sosial, ekspektasi usaha, interaktivitas berpengaruh positif terhadap minat pemanfaatan, dan minat pemanfaatan berpengaruh positif terhadap minat penggunaan sistem Microsoft Teams. Sedangkan kondisi fasilitas tidak berpengaruh terhadap minat penggunaan Microsoft Teams.AbstractSTMIK Mikroskil changed the teaching and learning process to online in order to comply with laws established by the Minister of Education and Culture during the COVID-19 outbreak in Indonesia. STMIK Mikroskil had introduced E-learning, specifically Moodle, prior to covid-19. However, during the COVID-19 epidemic, the usage of E-learning exploded, and because the enormous number of transactions carried out in online learning activities could not be supported, STMIK Mikroskil chose Microsoft Teams as an online learning medium. It is intended that by adopting Microsoft Teams, interactions between instructors and students would be more frequent, on time, supportive, and productive. As a result, testing is required to determine the extent to which Microsoft Teams technology adoption and use at STMIK Mikroskil is required. Using the UTAUT Model, this study will investigate the impact of interaction on Microsoft Teams system acceptability. The poll was performed on active STMIK Mikroskil students majoring in Informatics and Information Systems Engineering, with a total of 348 responses. The structural equation model (SEM) and the SmartPLS software were used. The most notable addition of this study is the inclusion of the interactivity variable in the UTAUT model, which has a considerable impact on system utilization interest. The study's findings suggest that performance expectations, social pressures, corporate expectations, and interaction all play a role.

Abstract

Abstract: The widespread use of information and communication technology (ICT) has enhanced effectiveness and quality in management, research, and education at educational institutions. In this digital age, secondary schools are required to improve operational efficiency and educational strategies through the use of information technology. Therefore, the implementation of an enterprise architecture (EA) framework is crucial to ensure a strategic alignment between educational goals and technology. However, before implementing the framework, schools must evaluate various factors that influence the suitability and effectiveness of EA, including current technology needs, staff competencies, existing infrastructure conditions, and other factors. This study gathers and analyzes data from related studies, and the results indicate the importance of understanding EA principles to optimize academic and administrative processes. By considering variables in the selection of the EA framework, evaluating school readiness, and identifying existing challenges, this research aims to assist secondary schools in effectively implementing EA. The expected outcome of this research provides theoretical support for the adoption of EA, thus facilitating more efficient strategic and operational planning in secondary schools.      Keywords: enterprise architecture; framework; information and communication technology; secondary school.  Abstrak: Penggunaan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi (TIK) secara luas telah meningkatkan efektivitas dan kualitas dalam manajemen, penelitian, dan pendidikan di institusi pendidikan. Di era digital ini, sekolah menengah dituntut untuk meningkatkan efisiensi operasional dan strategi pendidikan melalui pemanfaatan teknologi informasi. Oleh karena itu, penerapan framework arsitektur enterprise (EA) menjadi penting untuk memastikan aliansi strategis antara tujuan pendidikan dan teknologi. Namun, sebelum penerapan framework dilakukan, sekolah harus mengevaluasi berbagai faktor yang mempengaruhi kesesuaian dan efektivitas EA, termasuk kebutuhan teknologi terkini, kompetensi staf, kondisi infrastruktur yang ada, dan faktor lainnya. Penelitian ini mengumpulkan dan menganalisis data dari studi terkait, hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa pentingnya pemahaman tentang prinsip-prinsip EA untuk mengoptimalkan proses akademik dan administratif. Dengan mempertimbangkan variabel-variabel dalam pemilihan framework EA, evaluasi kesiapan sekolah, dan identifikasi tantangan yang ada, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membantu sekolah menengah dalam mengimplementasikan EA secara efektif. Diharapkan hasil dari penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi teoretis yang mendukung pengadopsian EA, sehingga memfasilitasi perencanaan strategis dan operasional yang lebih efisien di sekolah menengah.Kata kunci:arsitektur enterprise; framework; sekolah menengah; teknologi informasi dan komunikasi.
