Abstract

Background: Cardiomyopathy is a heart muscle disorder so which the heart cannot contract optimally. Alcoholic cardiomyopathy is a type of cardiomyopathy that dilates due to long-term alcohol consumption. The prevalence of alcoholic cardiomyopathy is higher in men than women. The age group with the most alcoholic cardiomyopathy was 45 to 74 year. Death from alcoholic cardiomyopathy had an autopsy result marked muscle dilatation. A toxicological examination can show the level of alcohol consumed. The cause of death in alcoholic cardiomyopathy is muscle dilatation due to chronic ethanol abuse. Islam expressly forbids something that makes losing mind, like alcohol. Alcohol has many disadvantages for the consumer in the form of loss of mind and turning away from Allah. Objective: This report aims to learn more about the definition, pathophysiology, clinical manifestation, and treatment of Alcoholic Cardiomyopathy. Also, Knowing and explaining Alcoholic Cardiomyopathy in terms of death and Islamic views. Methods: The design of this research is a literature review or library review, which is a systematic, direct, and reproducible research method by identifying, evaluating, and synthesizing published research.  Result: Alcoholic cardiomyopathy is a clinical diagnosis made in a patient with a set of findings that include a history of excessive alcohol consumption, possible physical signs of alcohol abuse (e.g., parotid disease, telangiectasia or spider angiomata, altered mental status, cirrhosis), heart failure, and other evidence consistent with dilated cardiomyopathy. People who frequently consume alcohol can cause nutritional disorders, especially vitamin B1 deficiency can cause cardiomyopathy. Alcohol will also cause abnormalities in the structure and function of mitochondria in heart cells. These abnormalities include enlarged mitochondrial structure, decreased metabolism, lack of several enzymes decreased ion transport, increased calcium flow, glycogen accumulation, and decreased ATP production. Conclusion: Cardiomyopathy is a heart muscle function disorder characterized by the loss of the ability of the heart muscle to pump blood so that the blood supply is not optimal and results in death. The most common cause is chronic alcohol consumption, which causes dilatation of the heart muscle. At the same time, alcohol is an ingredient that is forbidden to be consumed by Muslims because of its more significant impact.

Abstract

Background: Borax can result in oxidative stress and cause the onset of gastrointestinal ulcerations that will dampen the duodenal villi to become shorter and can even disappear. Cell damage due to oxidative stress can be prevented by administering antioxidants. Antioxidants will inhibit the onset of chain reactions in the formation of free radicals by complementing the existing electron deficiency. Honey is one of the natural ingredients that is rich in antioxidants and part of thibbun Nabawi as one of the inhibitors of the toxic effects of borax. Objective : The purpose of this study is to to analyze the effect of honey administration on the histopathological description of submucosa and epithelial mucosa of duodenal wistar rats as an inhibitor of the toxic effects of borax (Sodium tetraborate). Methods: This study used the true experimental method with Post Test Only Control Group Design using 25 mice which will be divided into five groups, namely K (negative control), P (positive control), M1 (borax and honey dose 1), M2 (borax and honey dose 2), M3 (borax and honey dose 3). This study was conducted for 22 days then. Took the duodenal organ on all samples and then made histological preparations with HE staining. Observations were made with an Olympus microscope to see submucosal edema and damage to the epithelium of the duodenal mucosa. Results: The results of the study found that borax 26 mg / head / day had an influence on the histopathological picture of duodenal borax. In addition, the administration of honey dose 75 mg / Kg BB provides a toxic inhibitory effect of borax in the duodenum best among other treatment groups. However, statistically there was no effect of honey administration on the histopathological picture of the duodenum of wistar rats as an inhibitor of the toxic effect of borax (Sodium Tetraborate) with p˃0.05. Conclusion: Statistically it can be concluded that there is no effect of  the administration of honey on the histopathology picture of the duodenum of wistar rats as an inhibitor of the toxic effects of borax (Sodium tetraborate).

Abstract

The primary objective of this community service activity is to provide Indonesian Immigrant Workers (IIWs) with a fundamental understanding of biometric data. This study is significant due to the growing reliance on biometric systems across sectors and the vulnerability of IIWs, who often lack awareness of data security risks. Limited digital literacy and inadequate access to legal protections heighten their susceptibility to data misuse and breaches. The research employs a Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR) approach, ensuring the involvement of stakeholders from Sanggar Belajar Sentul to design the activities, making them contextually relevant and addressing the specific needs of the target community. The community service successfully educated 23 Indonesian Immigrant Workers, increasing their awareness of the types of biometric data and the associated risks, particularly data leakage. The findings emphasise the importance of such educational initiatives in empowering vulnerable populations to safeguard their personal information. It is recommended that similar programs be expanded to other immigrant communities, integrating hands-on training and leveraging digital platforms for broader outreach. The contributions of this research include the effectiveness of community-based education in improving biometric data literacy and data protection awareness among immigrant workers, which can serve as a model for future educational interventions aimed at strengthening digital literacy in marginalised communities.
