Abstract

This research aims to measure the effect of moral engagement psychoeducation on reducing bullying behavior among students at SMA Muhammadiyah 3 Tulangan. The research method used was quantitative experimentation with a student population of 35 people. The sampling technique used is saturated sampling. The scale used to measure bullying behavior is a pre-test and post-test scale compiled by researchers, while to measure moral engagement the Comprehensive School Climate Inventory (CSCI) is used. The analysis technique used is paired sample t-test using JASP software version 0.18. The research results showed that there was a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test results after being given moral engagement psychoeducation (t(34) = -5.619; p < 0.001). These results prove that moral engagement psychoeducation can reduce bullying behavior in students and increase moral engagement in the school environment.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon of the gap between students and working students, where working students have low Self-Regulated Learning. This study aims to determine the relationship between Peer Attachment and Self Regulated Learning of student workers. Using a quantitative method conducted at University X with a sample of 323 working students with a sampling technique of Probability Simple Random Sampling. Data collection uses 2 psychological scales, namely, the Peer Attachment scale with 18 valid reliability items of 0.901 and the Self Regulated Learning scale with 43 valid reliability items of 0.930. The results of the analysis obtained a correlation coefficient (rxy) of 0.987 with a significance value of 0.000 <0.05. There is a positive relationship between Peer Attachment and Self Regulated Learning in working students, the higher Peer Attachment the higher Self Regulated Learning in working students at University X. On the other hand, the lower Peer Attachment, the lower Self Regulated Learning in working students at University X. Variable X gives a contribution of 97.5% to the Y variable.

This study aims to determine the relationship between permissive parenting and juvenile delinquency at SMA Negeri 1 Mojosari. The variables in this study are permissive parenting as the dependent and juvenile delinquency as the independent. This study uses the Stratifed Sampling population in this study was 1,220 students and the sample used was 275 students. The measuring instrument of this study used the permissive parenting style scale and the juvenile delinquency scale. The reliability of the delinquency scale of permissive parenting is 0.817 and the juvenile delinquency scale is 0.865. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive analysis with a quantitative approach with the assistance of JASP. The results in this study indicate a correlation coefficient of Pearson's r= 0.69 with a significance value of < 0.001. It can be concluded that there is a positive relationship between permissive parenting and juvenile delinquency in SMA Negeri 1 Mojosari. This means that the higher the permissive parenting pattern, the higher the juvenile delinquency and vice versa, the lower the permissive parenting pattern, the lower the juvenile delinquency.

Abstract

In Indonesia, approximately 10% of students have dyslexia, but it often goes undetected. Children aged 6–7 years old generally have mastered reading skills, but individuals with dyslexia face different obstacles. Suboptimal stimulation in reading, writing, and arithmetic during childhood can hinder the development of critical thinking in adolescence. This study aims to examine parents' experiences in providing support that plays a role in increasing the learning motivation of students with dyslexia. The method used is qualitative with a case study approach. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews guided by Smet's theory of emotional, appreciative, instrumental, and informational support. The research subjects were two parents who have children with dyslexia at Private Elementary School X in Sidoarjo Regency. Data analysis was conducted using Strauss and Corbin's techniques, including open coding, axial coding, and selective coding, with validity testing through source triangulation. Parental support was proven to foster learning motivation in dyslexic students. Emotional support builds children's self-acceptance and self-confidence, while reward and instrumental support help create positive learning experiences and academic readiness. Informative support enriched the children's learning strategies and understanding of their condition. These efforts contributed to the development of intrinsic motivation and psychological well-being in dyslexic children. These findings emphasize the importance of holistic parental involvement in creating a conducive learning environment for the development of dyslexic children.

Abstract

Father involvement is crucial for children's emotional, social, and cognitive development, but their role in parenting children with special needs remains minimal. This study explores the forms and dynamics of father involvement in parenting children with special needs, focusing on factors that influence father involvement in parenting: emotional, cognitive, social, and behavioral factors. This study examines the forms and dynamics of fathers' involvement in the care of children with special needs, focusing on the emotional, cognitive, social, and behavioral factors that influence fathers' involvement in childcare. This study uses a qualitative case study approach with purposive sampling, based on the criteria of fathers who have children with special needs aged 4 years or older. Data were collected through in-depth semi-structured interviews and participatory observation, followed by thematic analysis to identify patterns and meanings in the fathers' experiences. Emotionally, fathers experienced shock, denial, and fear, which hindered the development of the father-child relationship. Cognitively, fathers tended to delegate child-rearing responsibilities to mothers. Socially, stigma and shame caused fathers to withdraw from society. Behavioral involvement was inconsistent and generally limited to simple activities. Significant barriers included traditional gender roles, workload, lack of information, and lack of social support. The results of this study highlight the importance of comprehensive family interventions, such as education programs, parenting classes, and psychological counseling, to increase father involvement. Gender-sensitive policies are also needed to create an inclusive environment in the care of children with special needs.
