Abstract

The Merdeka curriculum still leaves a number of problems in the implementative realm, especially in the learning process in the classroom. Arabic language learning at MTsN 4 Sidoarjo also faces these obstacles. This study aims to explore the challenges of implementing the Merdeka curriculum in Arabic language learning at MTsN 4 Sidoarjo. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study type. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. Data validity checking is done through source triangulation and technique. Data were analyzed interactively with data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that most Arabic teachers still have difficulties in implementing learning based on the Merdeka curriculum. The madrasah head followed up on this problem by providing training on learning methods in the Merdeka curriculum, especially regarding differentiated learning. Another effort that has been made is to complete Arabic learning infrastructure. Strict supervision of the learning activity process is also sought to improve the quality of Arabic language learning. This research has implications for a number of solutions to overcome various problems in implementing the Merdeka curriculum, especially in Arabic language learning at the secondary level.

Abstract

Reducing the stunting rate is one of the programs being carried out by the government of the Republic of Indonesia. By mobilizing all existing components of society, the prevalence of stunting in Indonesia in 2024 is expected to decrease to 14%. Based on these reasons, the public as the main object in the presidential order is expected to intervene by knowing what causes stunting and how to overcome and cure it. This research was conducted in Jarit Village, Candipuro sub-district, Lumajang district, East Java using the CBR (Community Based Research) method. The method of presenting the data is descriptive-qualitative and analyzed by comparing the data obtained from the literature review process. The conclusion obtained in this study is that mothers of toddlers who are infected with stunting in Jarit village do not apply the parenting pattern that should be applied to their children. The innovation that is applied related to handling these problems is to apply GEMAS as an application from a community-based movement that focuses on handling stunting.

Abstract

Low learning motivation in Arabic remains a major issue in many madrasahs, including Madrasah Aliyah Abil Hasan As-Syadzily Sidoarjo . Students exhibit low participation, weak self-confidence, and difficulty understanding materials. This study aims to analyze the causes of low motivation in learning Arabic and to formulate effective strategies for improving motivation among tenth-grade students. The research applied a qualitative descriptive approach, using open-ended questionnaires, semi-structured interviews, and classroom observations. Data were analyzed through Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña’s interactive model, consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing.The findings indicate that low motivation is influenced by intrinsic factors, such as lack of interest, low self-confidence, and perceived language difficulty, as well as extrinsic factors, including monotonous teaching methods, limited learning media, and insufficient environmental support. These factors lead to decreased participation, academic performance, and increased language anxiety. Efforts to improve motivation can be achieved through communicative and contextual teaching methods, the use of digital media based on the ARCS model (Attention, Relevance, Confidence, Satisfaction), and strengthened social support from teachers and the madrasah environment. The study concludes that improving Arabic learning motivation requires a holistic approach integrating psychological, pedagogical, and social aspects to create meaningful and sustainable learning.

Abstract

Permasalahan yang muncul selama proses seleksi dalam penerimaan karyawan berdasarkan kompetensi adalah waktu yang disediakan untuk proses seleksi singkat, ketidaktepatan dalam proses seleksi baik dari aspek administratif maupun aspek penilaian, objektifitas pengambil keputusan ditingkat manajerial cenderung memposisikan sebagai kedekatan dengan pegawai. Penelitian ini mengimplementasikan metode TOPSIS untuk mengembangkan aplikasi pendukung keputusan untuk penerimaan karyawan berdasarkan kompetensi yang dimiliki calon. TOPSIS dipilih karena memiliki konsep bahwa alternatif terpilih adalah alternatif yang memiliki jarak terpendek dengan solusi ideal positif dan memiliki jarak terjauh dengan solusi ideal negatif. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah sebuah sistem pendukung keputusan yang dapat menunjukkan hasil perangkingan dengan metode TOPSIS untuk proses seleksi calon karyawan. Pengujian akurasi pada penelitian ini menggunakan rumus eucledian distance untuk membandingkan hasil perangkingan dalam proses seleksi. Hasil pengujian tersebut menunjukkan bahwa perangkingan dengan metode TOPSIS dan perangkingan pihak PT. Parkland World Indonesia memiliki nilai kemiripan 0.63, sehingga hasil seleksi dengan metode TOPSIS pada sistem pendukung keputusan ini bisa diterima.

Abstract

The low reading skill is caused by a monotonous learning process, resulting in very little student interest in learning Arabic. Therefore, to improve students’ comprehension of Arabic texts and their interest in learning, the researcher offers a solution by applying the Know–Want to Know–Learned (KWL) learning method in teaching Arabic to grade XI-I students at Madrasah Aliyah. This study employs a quasi-experimental design with a One Group Pretest–Posttest Design, using Classroom Action Research (CAR) techniques conducted in two phases. The sample of this study consisted of 34 students from grade XI-I of Madrasah Aliyah. Before the implementation, students’ reading comprehension ability in Arabic texts achieved an average mastery score of 29.41%. The results after implementing the KWL method in phase I showed an improvement to 44.11%, an increase of 14.70% from the initial score. In phase II, the score rose significantly to 91.17%, indicating that students had successfully mastered Arabic text comprehension through the KWL method. The results of applying the KWL method in Arabic language learning proved effective in improving students’ understanding of Arabic reading texts (maharah qira’ah) among grade XI-I students.
