Abstract

The context of learning in the 4.0 revolution era is currently a challenge, especially in the world of education at the university level. The creative learning process needs to be developed so that learning patterns need to be updated by placing students as learning subjects (student-centered learning) and applying more flexible learning media in accordance with technological advances in the field of education to develop student abilities. The use of e-modules is one type of e-resources that can be accessed and displayed using computer-based media as an alternative choice by students in obtaining lecture materials and learning processes independently. This study aims to determine the level of closeness of the relationship and see whether or not there is a simultaneous (together) and partial effect between digital literacy and student self-directed learning. This research leads to quantitative research. The results showed that there was a correlation of 0.705 and had a simultaneous effect of 0.000 < 0.005 with a calculated Fcount of 31.71 > Ftable 3.32 and tcount = 5.631 > ttable = 1.69092. It can be concluded that there is a strong correlation level and has a simultaneous and partial influence between digital literacy and students' self-directed learning on the use of the e-module on learning process and outcomes evaluation courses.

Abstract

The use of information technology in education is a real impact of the development of science and technology. The development of technology in the field of education has led to innovations in assessment systems such as web-based assessments. The use of web-based assessment to assess student character will bring up different student perceptions which can be influenced by gender differences. Therefore, this study was designed to find out how the comparison of students' perceptions of the application of web-based character assessment in science learning based on gender differences. This research is quantitative research with a survey approach which was conducted by filling out a student perception questionnaire containing 30 statements. The sample in this study was 120 students who were selected by purposive sampling. The data obtained will be analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics with hypothesis testing in the form of one-way Anova test to determine whether there is a comparison of student perceptions of the application of web-based character assessment in science learning based on gender differences. The results showed that male students' perceptions showed more positive results than female students' perceptions of the application of web-based character assessment in science learning.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the results of student descriptive statistics on the variables of self-efficacy and disciplinary character of high school students in physics subjects. Then, this research also aims to determine the differences and relationships between self-efficacy and the disciplinary character of high school students in physics subjects at the two schools that were the research locations. The method used in this research is a mixed method. The results of the research show that Junior High School 6 Batanghari obtained superior self-efficacy and discipline character scores compared to Junior High School 11 Batanghari. Based on the t-test which states the data comparison is smaller than 0.05 and the correlation test states the data results are smaller than 0.05. This research shows that there are differences and relationships between self-efficacy and the disciplinary character of high school students in physics subjects at the two schools that were the research locations. The novelty in this research is to examine students' self-efficacy and character in learning physics. The results of this research provide implications for physics subject teachers to provide appropriate interventions to develop students' disciplined character with adequate self-efficacy.

Abstract

Discipline is the attitude of a person who is in accordance with the rules or regulations that apply both arising from his self-awareness and because of sanctions or punishments that have been applied so as to create order and regularity. This study uses a descriptive method with a quantitative approach which aims to analyze information about the description of the disciplined attitudes of class X MIPA students at SMA Negeri 8 Muaro Jambi for the 2020 academic year. The data was tested using the SPSS application. Based on descriptive statistical analysis, it was obtained that the students' discipline attitude was not good in class and outside class. Evidenced by the highest percentage of 51.7%

Abstract

Fostering creative attitudes is essential in global warming learning, as it helps students think creatively and critically about complex environmental issues. This study aims to examine the impact of Moodle-based interactive media with H5P in flipped classroom settings on improving students' understanding of global warming in physics. The creative attitude indicators measured in this study include curiosity, imagination, collaboration, perseverance, risk-taking, openness to new experiences, independence and self-confidence in one's ideas, persistence, imagination and appreciation of fantasy, discipline and commitment to tasks, and collaboration and group trust. The research uses a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest approach. Data were collected through tests, and analysis was conducted using ANOVA and N-Gain analysis. The findings reveal a significant improvement in students' creative attitude test scores after using Moodle H5P-based learning media, as shown by the ANOVA results. Additionally, the N-Gain analysis indicates that the improvement in students' creative attitudes falls into the moderate category. The use of Moodle H5P-based interactive media in a flipped classroom setting has a significant impact on enhancing students' creative attitudes, especially in understanding global warming. The use of Moodle H5P-based interactive media in a flipped classroom setting has a significant impact on enhancing students' creative attitudes towards understanding physics topics, particularly global warming.

Abstract

One of the important skills that must be mastered in 21st-century learning is communication skills. The facts show that students' communication skills in learning physics, specifically on the topic of global warming, are still low. This research aims to determine the feasibility and effectiveness of the global warming e-book based on problem-based learning (PBL) assisted by PhET interactive simulation to improve students' communication skills. The type of research used is pre-experimental, with a one-group pretest-posttest research design. The sampling technique is cluster random sampling, the modeling class and the implementation class are randomly selected. This research was conducted on 55 students in class X of high school, consisting of 32 students in the modeling class and 23 students in the implementation class. Data collection techniques are carried out through validation and pretest-posttest. The validation data to determine the feasibility of e-books and communication ability test instruments were analyzed using the V 'Aiken equation. The effectiveness was analyzed using the N-Gain test and to determine the significance of the increase using the ANOVA test with eta squared (effect size) analyzed with the SPSS program. The results of the study show that the validity of the e-book is on very good criteria, so it is worth using. The results of the N-Gain test of the modeling class and the implementation class showed that the use of e-books was quite effective in improving students' communication skills, with an impact size of 0.406 in the modeling class and 0.519 in the implementation class. So, this global warming e-book can be used by physics teachers in physics learning. The limitations of this study include the use of subjects limited to only two classes and restricted time allocation. Therefore, future research is expected to conduct studies on a larger scale and consider time allocation when selecting the learning model.
