Abstract

Takalar Regency, particularly in Galesong City, offers significant opportunities in agricultural and fisheries resources that have not been fully utilized to address nutritional problems in children. This community service is designed to enhance the knowledge and skills of mothers in Galesong City in processing local agricultural and fishery products into nutritious and appealing products for children, thereby meeting their nutritional needs. The approach used is participatory, consisting of socialization and determination of the need for healthys products for children; education on the importance of balanced nutrition and the use of local resources; demonstration and training in the manufacture of various processed foods, such as fish nuggets with vegetables, shredded fish with high protein content, cakes made from sweet potatoes or cassava enriched with fish or eggs, and other innovative preparations; training on how to package attractive and hygienic products; basic training on marketing to support home-based business potential. Mothers from Galesong City are expected to be involved and apply the knowledge they gain in their daily lives. The program was evaluated based on participants' understanding of nutrition and nutritious products, their improvement in food processing skills, and the increase in children's interest in healthy foods of local origin. This helps mothers create a diverse range of nutritious foods, increase children's intake, and improve their nutritional status. In addition, this program is expected to encourage innovation in local food processing, open up opportunities for MSMEs in processing based on local agricultural and fishery resources, and improve the welfare of local communities.

Abstract

This community service program aims to improve community knowledge and skills in effectively utilizing home gardens to meet family food needs and support stunting prevention efforts. This activity was implemented through counseling, demonstrations, and mentoring for housewives and other family members. The material presented in the counseling included techniques for growing vegetables, fruits, and family medicinal plants (TOGA) in limited yard space, as well as information on balanced nutrition and the importance of obtaining adequate nutritional intake to prevent stunting. The results of this activity showed an increase in community knowledge and interest in utilizing their yard space. It is hoped that the productive use of yard space will have an impact on increasing family food security, improving community nutrition, and reducing stunting rates in Galesong Kota Village. The output of this activity showed an 80% increase in participant knowledge, as well as significant interest from the community in utilizing their yards. In addition, the formation of farmer groups is expected to support the program's sustainability and the exchange of information. Abstract

Pangkep Regency has great fisheries and fisheries potential, including the potential for crab resources to be used responsibly. The crab fishing season has a significant impact on crab populations and the ecosystem of Segeri's waters. SeIama capture season. The objectives of the research that will be carried out are 1) to analyze the seasonal effects of crab fishing, 2) to assess the impact of the fishing season on crab populations, 3) to explore the effects of the fishing season on the ecosystem. Method of Determination of the fishing season with the criteria is if the seasonal index is more than 1 (more than 100 %) or above the average, and not the season if the seasonal index is less than 1 (less than 100 %). If IM = 1 (100 %), this value is equal to the monthly average price so it can be said to be normal or balanced. The mapping of fishing areas (rajungan) is carried out partifively through the geographic information system (GIS). The peak yield of the crab fishing season occurs in July and November. The average weight of crabs obtained using dragon bubu and gill net is 1.91 kg and 3.43 kg. Intensive fishing activities can cause turbidity due to sediment stirring on the seafloor and affect seagrass and algae that function as feeding grounds and nursery grounds.
