Abstract

This study aims to develop a MIKiR-based mathematics learning MFI product. The location of the research was in the PGMI study program, UIN North Sumatra, Medan, with a total of 25 samples. This research was conducted using the Research & Development method which was adopted from Tiagharijan's development theory. From the realization of this method, this research results that this mathematics learning LKM product is declared feasible with the one sample statistic test, namely 82.32, very practical through observation with a percentage of 9.84%, and quite effective with the acquisition of Ngain 0.71 in the high category, and if converted to Ngain is based on Hake.RR, then the interpretation of Ngain's effectiveness is categorized as quite effective.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze teachers' perceptions of the development of English learning books based on TPACK in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI). This study used a descriptive quantitative approach with a questionnaire as the instrument covering four dimensions: urgency and benefits, ease of development and implementation, availability of support, and impact on student learning outcomes. The research respondents were 10 MI teachers who taught English in Medan. The results of the analysis indicated that teachers' perceptions were generally positive, with the highest scores on the dimension of impact on student learning outcomes, followed by the urgency and benefits of TPACK-based books. However, the dimension of availability of support received the lowest score, indicating limitations in training, reference materials, and facilitation of collaboration in the development of these books. This study concludes that TPACK-based books have significant potential to improve the quality of English language learning in MI, but their success requires adequate institutional support.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami secara mendalam bagaimana siswa sekolah dasar mengalami proses belajar public speaking serta berbagai hambatan yang memengaruhi perkembangan kemampuan tersebut. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, penelitian ini mengeksplorasi pengalaman siswa, guru, dan orang tua di SDN 040457 Berastagi melalui wawancara semi-terstruktur, observasi kegiatan pembelajaran, serta telaah dokumen seperti rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran dan portofolio tugas siswa. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perkembangan kemampuan berbicara di depan umum dipengaruhi oleh sejumlah faktor yang saling berkaitan. Dukungan guru, terutama melalui pemberian umpan balik, scaffolding, serta kesempatan tampil, terbukti berperan besar dalam meningkatkan keberanian dan performa siswa. Selain itu, pengalaman latihan yang berulang serta aktivitas yang variatif, seperti storytelling, presentasi sederhana, dan dialog, memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap peningkatan kefasihan dan keteraturan ide siswa. Namun, penelitian ini juga mengidentifikasi beberapa hambatan utama, seperti kecemasan berbicara, rendahnya rasa percaya diri, keterbatasan waktu pembelajaran, dan kurangnya fasilitas pendukung, termasuk perlengkapan audio maupun ruang penyajian yang memadai. Kurangnya keterlibatan orang tua dalam memberikan stimulasi komunikasi di rumah turut memperlambat perkembangan kemampuan berbicara siswa. Hasil penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya penerapan strategi pembelajaran public speaking yang lebih terarah, kesempatan praktik yang konsisten, serta kolaborasi sekolah dan orang tua agar perkembangan keterampilan berbicara siswa dapat berlangsung secara optimal.

Abstract

This study explores students' perceptions of using Cici AI's voice communication feature to improve their English speaking abilities. Using a qualitative approach with a descriptive phenomenological design, data was collected from 25 university students through a questionnaire and involved 5 selected students for in-depth interviews. The results of the study highlighted five main findings, namely: (1) Usefulness; (2) Easiness; (3) Students' Confidence; (4) Speaking Ability Improvement; and (5) Access Difficulties. The findings showed that students gave a positive perception of Cici AI's voice communication feature as a tool to improve their English speaking ability. This research contributes to the growing body of research on AI in language learning on how Cici AI can support students in improving English speaking ability. Future research would be valuable to explore the long-term impact of Cici AI in improving English speaking skills in various educational settings.
