Abstract

This study highlights the important role of digitalization and human resource management in strengthening the resilience of MSMEs in Cirebon City. Using a quantitative approach based on SEM-PLS, this study analyzed 173 MSMEs in the culinary sector. The results show that digitalization has a positive impact on the resilience of MSMEs, although the effect is not as great as the role of human resource management. The R-square value of 0.652 indicates that these two factors together explain 65.2% of the variation in MSME resilience. Therefore, this study recommends strengthening digitalization strategies and improving the quality of human resource management through training and supportive policies, in order to improve the competitiveness and sustainability of MSMEs in the face of economic and social dynamics in the digital era.

Abstract

The increase in innovation in the manufacturing sector is driven by rapid technological advances and increasingly complex industrial competition. To answer these challenges, this study aims to analyze the effect of positive feedback from managers and performance appraisals on employee innovative behavior at PT Evertech International Group, a manufacturing company in Brebes, Central Java. This study uses a quantitative approach with a census method involving 150 respondents. Data were collected through a questionnaire with a Likert scale and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) using SmartPLS 4.1.0.9. The analysis process includes measuring convergent and discriminant validity, as well as testing the reliability of constructs and hypotheses. The results show that positive feedback from managers and performance appraisals have a significant and positive impact on employee innovative behavior. The path coefficients for manager feedback and performance appraisals are 0.396 and 0.444, respectively, both with a p-value of 0.000, indicating a statistically significant effect.  Further analysis revealed that employees were more motivated to generate innovative ideas when they received constructive and consistent feedback and when innovation was included in performance evaluations. The combined effect of the two variables explained 59.1% of the variance in innovative behavior, reflecting a strong synergistic effect. The discussion highlights the role of a supportive work environment and an innovation-oriented appraisal system in fostering creative thinking. In conclusion, companies should empower managers with effective communication skills and develop performance systems that reward creativity.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of entrepreneurial competence, motivation, and innovation on the entrepreneurial intentions of students in Cirebon, Indonesia. Using a quantitative approach with a survey-based design, this study involved seventh-semester students from various universities in the region. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The findings show that entrepreneurial competence, motivation, and innovation each have a statistically significant and positive effect on students’ entrepreneurial intentions, both individually and simultaneously. Among these factors, competence and innovation emerged as the most dominant predictors. In contrast, motivation shows a comparatively weaker impact when it is not supported by strong entrepreneurial skills and innovative thinking. These results underscore the importance of targeted educational interventions to strengthen entrepreneurial potential among students and support the development of a more innovation-driven entrepreneurial ecosystem in higher education. In addition, the study contributes to the growing literature on entrepreneurship in developing countries, highlighting how practical competence and creativity play a more decisive role than intrinsic drive alone. Higher education institutions are encouraged to integrate real-world entrepreneurship training and an innovation-based curriculum to better prepare students for the demands of modern entrepreneurship.

Abstract

In the competitive era of globalization, employee performance plays a crucial role in maintaining the sustainability and productivity of a company. This study aims to analyze the effect of job insecurity and work environment on employee performance, with job satisfaction as a mediating variable at PT Chang Jui Fang Indonesia. The issue arises from a decline in employee performance achievements, which are suspected to be influenced by job insecurity and suboptimal work environment conditions. This research uses a quantitative approach with a survey method by distributing questionnaires to 326 production employees, selected using simple random sampling. Data analysis is performed using Structural Equation Modeling with Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) approach through SmartPLS 4 software. The independent variables in this study are job insecurity (X1) and work environment (X2), the mediating variable is job satisfaction (Z), and the dependent variable is employee performance (Y). The results of the study show that job insecurity negatively and significantly affects job satisfaction and performance. On the other hand, the work environment positively and significantly affects job satisfaction and performance. Furthermore, job satisfaction was found to have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. The analysis of indirect effects indicates that job satisfaction significantly mediates the effect of job insecurity and work environment on performance. Thus, companies need to pay attention to psychological factors, particularly in reducing job insecurity and creating a conducive work environment to improve job satisfaction and ultimately lead to better employee performance.

Based on the results of statistical tests, there is an influence of the work team and the performance of cooperative facilitators of 0.406 with t-statistc values of 2.221 > 1.96 and P values of 0.026 < 0.050, Based on statistical tests  of individual behavior on the performance of cooperative facilitators of 0.436 and t-statistc of 2.054. > 1.96 and with a P value of 0.040 < 0.050. Based on the R-Square value of these three variables, it is stated that the Independent Variables of Work Team and Individual Behavior in this study affect the dependent variable Performance by 0.659 or 65.9% so that it can be said that the coefficient of Performance in this study is said to be moderate.
