Abstract

This study examines the influence of entrepreneurial competence, motivation, and innovation on the entrepreneurial intentions of students in Cirebon, Indonesia. Using a quantitative approach with a survey-based design, this study involved seventh-semester students from various universities in the region. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The findings show that entrepreneurial competence, motivation, and innovation each have a statistically significant and positive effect on students’ entrepreneurial intentions, both individually and simultaneously. Among these factors, competence and innovation emerged as the most dominant predictors. In contrast, motivation shows a comparatively weaker impact when it is not supported by strong entrepreneurial skills and innovative thinking. These results underscore the importance of targeted educational interventions to strengthen entrepreneurial potential among students and support the development of a more innovation-driven entrepreneurial ecosystem in higher education. In addition, the study contributes to the growing literature on entrepreneurship in developing countries, highlighting how practical competence and creativity play a more decisive role than intrinsic drive alone. Higher education institutions are encouraged to integrate real-world entrepreneurship training and an innovation-based curriculum to better prepare students for the demands of modern entrepreneurship.

Abstract

In the competitive era of globalization, employee performance plays a crucial role in maintaining the sustainability and productivity of a company. This study aims to analyze the effect of job insecurity and work environment on employee performance, with job satisfaction as a mediating variable at PT Chang Jui Fang Indonesia. The issue arises from a decline in employee performance achievements, which are suspected to be influenced by job insecurity and suboptimal work environment conditions. This research uses a quantitative approach with a survey method by distributing questionnaires to 326 production employees, selected using simple random sampling. Data analysis is performed using Structural Equation Modeling with Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) approach through SmartPLS 4 software. The independent variables in this study are job insecurity (X1) and work environment (X2), the mediating variable is job satisfaction (Z), and the dependent variable is employee performance (Y). The results of the study show that job insecurity negatively and significantly affects job satisfaction and performance. On the other hand, the work environment positively and significantly affects job satisfaction and performance. Furthermore, job satisfaction was found to have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. The analysis of indirect effects indicates that job satisfaction significantly mediates the effect of job insecurity and work environment on performance. Thus, companies need to pay attention to psychological factors, particularly in reducing job insecurity and creating a conducive work environment to improve job satisfaction and ultimately lead to better employee performance.

Abstract

The shift from traditional marketing to social media marketing in the digital age has become a significant phenomenon in the business world. This change is fuelled by technological advancements, especially internet penetration and the increasing use of social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok. Traditional marketing, which relies on one-way communication through mass channels such as television and print, now faces challenges in reaching younger and informed consumers, who prefer more personalised and direct interactions. In contrast, social media offers opportunities for companies to interact directly with consumers, enabling more segmented, personalised and cost-effective marketing. However, social media marketing also comes with challenges, including platform algorithm changes and data privacy concerns. This study aims to explore the shift from traditional marketing to social media marketing, by identifying the challenges and opportunities faced by companies in implementing effective marketing strategies. The study concludes that the integration of both marketing approaches, i.e. traditional and digital, can deliver optimal results for companies, by strengthening relationships with consumers and increasing the effectiveness of marketing campaigns.

Abstract

This study highlights the important role of digitalization and human resource management in strengthening the resilience of MSMEs in Cirebon City. Using a quantitative approach based on SEM-PLS, this study analyzed 173 MSMEs in the culinary sector. The results show that digitalization has a positive impact on the resilience of MSMEs, although the effect is not as great as the role of human resource management. The R-square value of 0.652 indicates that these two factors together explain 65.2% of the variation in MSME resilience. Therefore, this study recommends strengthening digitalization strategies and improving the quality of human resource management through training and supportive policies, in order to improve the competitiveness and sustainability of MSMEs in the face of economic and social dynamics in the digital era.
