Abstract

This study investigated the mediating effects of organizational learning and self-efficacy on the relationship between organizational culture and employee performance. The sample consisted of 172 employees of government owned banking institutions in Malang district, Indonesia. Results, using path analysis reveal that all the variables examined positively and significantly affect employee performance. This study found that organizational learning and self-efficacy mediated the relationship between organizational culture and employee performance.

Abstract

Triple Bottom Line (TBL) is a concept that is being promoted to be applied to businesses. TBL prioritizes the balance of people, planet and profit in business. No exception for batik craftsmen. Batik crafts in their production process involve a coloring process, which is dangerous for the health of their employees and a washing process that risks disrupting soil fertility. This is the background to this research, so it was carried out at Batik Bambu Kenanga craftsmen, Malang Regency, East Java, Indonesia. The research was carried out using a qualitative approach, with data obtained from observations and interviews. The results of the study found that Batik Bambu Kenanga is run with simple management, although not written and recorded every procedure and business process, Batik Bambu Kenanga has implemented TBL. Such as maintaining the health and safety of its employees when producing batik (implementing people), implementing adequate waste management (implementing planet), and establishing good relationships with village officials, local governments and other parties that influence its production process. These results show that Batik Bambu Kenanga, which has implemented TBL, finally gets convenience in running its business which is correlated with profit achievement. The existence of employee support, support from local residents and support from the government. All of that can guarantee the sustainability of the Batik Bambu Kenanga business and to gain competitive advantage in the midst of batik craft competition.

Abstract

Students perception is something that crucial to be understood by educators in order to shape a suitable appraches to use in class so the expected outcomes can be achieved. In responding to the recommedatioon of method that can be used in higher education level is Project Based Learning (PBL). This method concerns to activities that more students’ center and the process how the students providing solutions of the real problem faced by the industry or people in general by implementing their knowledge and critical thinking. So, this study is aimed to see how the students’ perceptions of the implementation of PBL in their classrooms. This study applied the descriptiove qualitative method by describing phenomena. Based on the questionnaire and interview done, it is found out that overall students have good perceptions toward the implementation of PBL, though there are some lacks related to the role of the educators and also the collaborative working among team members.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of empowerment of people with disabilities by Lingkar Sosial. Lingkar Sosial is a social organization that accommodates people with disabilities in Indonesia. In Indonesia, related to empowerment of disabilities is regulated by Government Regulation No. 52 of 2019 concerning Achieving Welfare for People with Disabilities. This study uses primary data obtained from interviews and secondary data from literature reviews as supporting materials. Furthermore, the data was analyzed using a qualitative approach. The results of the study indicate that Lingkar Sosial has an important role in empowering people with disabilities through economic, social and cultural empowerment. Lingkar Sosial has played a good role, there has been a structured and continuous work program every year, collaborating with various parties, and development for staff in managing people with disabilities. For sustainability, it is necessary to further improve cooperation with the government, academics and other parties that can strengthen the role of Lingkar Sosial.

Abstract

Industri batik sebagai UKM, mampu menyerap tenaga kerja, berarti  membantu pemerintah dalam mengurangi tingkat pengangguran. Sehingga keberadaan industri batik penting, karena sebagai salah satu tempat untuk mencari penghasilan bagi masyarakat. Maka, industri  batik perlu setiap saat melakukan inovasi untuk menjaga survival usaha. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di Batik Bambu Kenanga, merupakan industri batik yang ada di Kabupaten Malang, Jawa Timur, Indonesia. Tujuan kegiatan PkM ini, untuk memberikan pengetahuan dan pengalaman kepada industri batik dalam berinovasi pemasaran untuk meraih pasar relung untuk produk batik dengan pewarna alami. Kegiatan dilaksanakan dengan beberapa tahap, pertama,  diskusi yaitu untuk mencapai kesepakatan dalam menjalankan kegiatan, kedua, pendampingan yaitu mendampingi mitra untuk mengoptimalkan website sebagai media pemasaran online untuk meraih pasar relung luar negeri. Ketiga, dilakukan uji coba inovasi pemasaran dengan mempertemukan mitra pada kegiatan-kegiatan yang dapat menguatkan merek Batik Bambu Kenanga serta meluaskan pasar batik dengan pewarna alami untuk disampaikan di pasar relung. Pasar relung memberikan keuntungan untuk Batik Bambu Kenanga, karena di pasar relung akan bertemu dengan pembeli yang spesifik, harga bukan pertimbangan utama, dengan pembeli seperti kolektor batik atau pembeli yang memprioritaskan pada produk ramah lingkungan. Haapannya, setelah kegiatan ini mitra mampu melanjutkan inovasi pemasaran pada pasar relung dengan cara yang lebih ditingkatkan

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis pelaksanaan fungsi dan tugas arsiparis, mengevaluasi efektivitasnya, serta mengungkap hambatan yang dihadapi pada arsiparis di Bagian Kearsipan Dinas Perpustakaan Umum dan Arsip Daerah Kota Malang. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan fungsi dan tugas arsiparis telah berjalan cukup optimal, khususnya dalam pengelolaan arsip dinamis dan statis, pembinaan kearsipan, serta pelayanan informasi kepada publik. Arsiparis ahli menangani seleksi arsip, penyerahan arsip statis, dan penyusunan alat temu balik arsip, sedangkan arsiparis terampil lebih fokus pada pemberkasan, penciptaan arsip, dan kegiatan pameran arsip. Namun, tetap harus ada upaya peningkatan kompetensi, penguatan kelembagaan, dan pemanfaatan teknologi informasi sangat diperlukan untuk mencapai pengelolaan arsip yang berkelanjutan.    Kata Kunci: tugas dan fungsi, arsiparis, Bagian Kearsipan, Dinas Perpustakaan Umum dan Arsip Daerah Kota Malang

Abstract

Since 2018, social media had grown very rapidly. But in facts, this potential had not been maximized because according to APJII data, only 1.9 percent of people use social media to increase their income through selling online. In the Asrama Brimob Detasemen B, Ampeldento, Kabupaten Malang, there are many wives of soldiers who was housewives that did not have  any skills and also had income  steadyness. In addition, the second problem was that there are many wives of soldiers that only know about using social media as an activity to expand their friends. They also did not understand how to use social media as a tools of promoting and selling products, so it was hoped that it could be a source of additional income for the soldier's wife. From this problems, the Community Service Team (PkM) provided an alternative by giving a training to sold  various Pudding Product Marketing Training by using Instagram social media so that the markets will be wider. All participants were able to practice from the training results, by selling  products such as cakes and puddings through Instagram social media to the general public. We  also hoped that they could increased the income in the future.

Abstract

An organization faces the challenge of creating engaged employees. Several factors that can foster employee engagement are leadership and work culture. At the Indonesian Music Museum, employee engagement needs to be explored, given that it is a non-profit organization whose operational costs and funding are self-funded. This study employed qualitative methods, with the head and staff of the Indonesian Music Museum as the research subjects. Data collection techniques included participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results provide an overview of the leadership style and organizational culture that influence employee engagement at the Indonesian Music Museum. The leadership style adopted by the head of the Indonesian Music Museum is democratic. This study explains that the two concepts of leadership and organizational culture complement each other. Effective leaders can shape and maintain a positive work culture, while a positive culture strengthens leadership effectiveness. The synergy between the two creates a work environment where employees feel motivated, valued, and have a sense of ownership, which is the core of employee engagement.

Abstract

Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) play a vital role in Indonesia’s economy. The dynamic market conditions demand that SMEs achieve competitive advantage to ensure the sustainability of their businesses. Strategies to attain such advantage can be developed by strengthening market orientation, networking capability, and innovation. This study analyzes the direct influence of market orientation, networking capability, and innovation on the competitive advantage of SMEs in East Java. A quantitative approach was employed, with data collected through questionnaires distributed to SMEs in East Java in collaboration with the Integrated Business Service Center (PLUT) in Batu City, Malang Regency, Tulungagung Regency, and Mojokerto Regency. PLUT is an institution that assists SMEs in expanding market access. A total of 600 questionnaires were distributed, and 552 were deemed valid for analysis. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression methods. The findings reveal that the competitive advantage of SMEs is significantly influenced by market orientation, which provides the most dominant contribution, followed by innovation and networking capability. These findings offer valuable insights for SMEs in formulating effective strategies to achieve competitive advantage, enabling them to face increasing competition and adapt to the global market.

Abstract

Social media nowadays is a marketing tool that supposed to be had by business owners because we can say that almost all people, especially in Indoneisa is social media active users, so if the business owner needs to be able to communicate with the target market or customers, it is highly recommended for them to optimize the use of social media. Though, there is a problem that usually faced by the small and medium enterprises that is lack of human resources and limited skill and knowledge about social media marketing, so by having this program, it is expected that in the future the SME can maximize the use of their social media platforms. The method applied in this activity of community service is doing training and mentoring with the business owner as the one that designs and plans her company marketing strategy. By having all the activities, it is found that the inconsistency in uploading and traditional content writing make the social media communication lack of engagement, so in conclusion finding customers behavior in using social media and creating a more life-connected experience content can create more interest for the custome
