In relation to responding to the challenges of the industrial revolution era 4.0 of Islamic education, Islamic education will not be overlooked by the negative values of the impact of the this era, because Islamic education maintains strong values that come from the Al-Qur'an and Hadith. Abstract

Private lecturers in Indonesia play a crucial role in higher education; however, they face significant welfare issues, particularly concerning salaries that often fall below the Regional Minimum Wage (UMK). This study aims to identify the challenges faced by private lecturers in West Java related to inadequate salaries and offer recommendations for improvement. Using a qualitative research approach, the study interviews private lecturers and analyzes employment agreements from several private universities. It also examines relevant laws and regulations, including Law Number 14 of 2005 on Teachers and Lecturers, Government Regulation Number 37 of 2009 on Lecturers, Law Number 30 of 2014 on Government Administration, and Law Number 13 of 2003 on Manpower. The findings reveal that, despite formal employment agreements, many lecturers earn less than the UMK, negatively impacting their welfare. Contributing factors include a lengthy certification process, inadequate social security, and the lack of academic ranks for many permanent lecturers. Many private lecturers are not registered with the social security program (BPJS). This study concludes that salaries below the UMK create injustice and undermine the teaching profession. Strengthening employment contracts, clarifying rights and obligations, and raising awareness about lecturers' rights are essential for improving their welfare.

Abstract

This research found that the Norma of Riba in Islamic Economics is a khilafiyah problem as well as the law of Bank Interest, in principle, mutual tolerance and mutual respect and respect for inter-opinions must be put forward. This is because each group of ulama has devoted their energy to seeking the law of the problem, and in the end their opinion remains different. Profit sharing norms in Islamic economics are an innovative step in an Islamic economy that is not only in accordance with people's behavior, but more than that profit sharing is a social balance step in obtaining economic opportunities. Thus, the profit sharing system can be seen as a more effective measure to prevent conflict between the rich and the poor from occurring in social life. The impact of Bank Interest (Riba) on the Country's Economy, among others, has an impact on several sectors including the Economic Impact. The higher the interest rate, the higher the price to be set on an item. Social Impact, the social impact of society related to Riba in terms of unfair income. Abstract

This study examines the impact of budget efficiency policies on labor in the hospitality industry in West Java, focusing on employee reductions in hotels and restaurants. In 2025, the Indonesian government's budget cuts aimed at reducing the fiscal deficit severely impacted the hospitality sector, which relies on government-funded activities like seminars and official travel. Using interviews and secondary data, the study found a sharp decline in hotel occupancy rates, leading to financial difficulties and an estimated 40,000 layoffs. The findings highlight the need for policy adjustments, including financial support for businesses and targeted recovery plans for SMEs, to ensure long-term stability in the region’s hospitality industry.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the economic impact of the 2025 Los Angeles wildfires through the lens of Islamic law, focusing on its application for disaster management, social justice, and supporting Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 13 (Climate Action) and SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth). Using Islamic legal principles such as maslahah (public interest), adl (justice), tawhid (unity), and takaful (mutual protection), the research explores their role in disaster recovery and economic redistribution. A qualitative approach is adopted, employing a case study of the 2025 wildfires, with an analysis of Islamic legal documents, expert interviews, and post-disaster policy reviews. The study finds that Islamic law offers practical instruments such as zakat (charity), qard al-hasan (interest-free loans), and takaful to aid recovery, while emphasizing collective responsibility in rebuilding after disasters. The research highlights how these Islamic principles can guide disaster recovery, promoting fair and sustainable practices in line with the SDGs. By integrating Islamic law into disaster management, the study offers unique solutions for equitable recovery efforts post-disaster. This research provides valuable insights into using Islamic law to create a more just and sustainable economic recovery framework in the face of natural disasters.

Abstract

On the one hand, in the 4.0 era, contemporary Islamic education cannot avoid the phenomenon of interrelationships between human beings in the increasingly intensive and pluralistic systems of technology, information and communication. This era demands the practice of Islamic education with a multicultural perspective, democracy and human rights. On the other hand, there is an unpreparedness in the practice of Islamic education to face these challenges, such as teaching staff who do not understand multicultural education, learning materials and resources that are biased by social class, gender, ethnicity, religion, and urban areas. The purpose of this study is to determine the urgency of multicultural Islamic education, democracy and human rights in Indonesia, and to demonstrate the complexity of the challenges. The results show that multicultural Islamic education can be implemented by teachers, leaders, school members and campus communities in the 4.0 era if these stakeholders have a multicultural attitude, which is characterized by the ability to manage challenges of primordialism, ethnicity, religion and social class. The Islamic concept of Rahmatan Lil 'Alamin can be a solution and method of contemporary Islamic education practice that is in accordance with the learning material and the development of the student's soul.

Abstract

This study examines the welfare issues of private university lecturers in Indonesia who receive substandard wages, by analyzing them through the perspectives of Islamic law and positive law. The objective of this paper is to explore the alignment between the principles of wage justice in Islamic law and the wage regulations within the national legal framework, especially concerning employment in the private higher education sector. The methodology employed is normative juridical with a qualitative analysis of legal documents and Islamic legal literature. The findings indicate that private lecturers are employed under contractual agreements subject to labor regulations, which often fail to provide adequate welfare guarantees. On the other hand, Islamic law emphasizes justice, fairness, and certainty in wage distribution as part of workers' rights protection. The main novelty of this study lies in identifying the gap between the normative ideals of Islamic law and the practical enforcement of positive law in the higher education context. The impact of this research is to propose an integrative legal approach that incorporates Islamic ethical values into wage regulation policies, aiming to improve the socio-economic well-being of academic professionals in Indonesia. Abstract

The complexity of the challenges posed by teaching staff who are not ready and do not understand multicultural education today has become a major obstacle, especially in the 4.0 era as it is today. In addition, materials and resources must be free from biases, such as social class, gender, ethnicity, religion, and urban bias. Thus, authors of sources, materials, need to use the perspective of multicultural education, democracy and human rights in Era 4.0 in terms of implementing Islamic education in Indonesia. The purpose of this study is to determine the urgency and reflection of multicultural education, democracy and human rights in Indonesia, where Islamic education today continues to experience its own complexities of challenges. The results of the study show that multicultural education can be implemented for teachers, leaders, school members and campus communities who have a multicultural attitude and have the ability to properly organize Islamic education in the era 4.0 which is full of challenges. This will also be a challenge, because schools in general cannot be separated from stereotypes and prejudices that stem from a sense of primordialism, ethnicity, religion and social class. There is the Islamic concept of Rahmatan Lil 'Alamin as a solution, and also a method of paying attention to the situation in the delivery of subject matter without disturbing the students' souls.
