Abstract

The background of this research is to compare the RADEC model with the inquiry model on the higher order thinking skills of elementary school (SD) students. The purpose of this study was to find out which higher order thinking skills were better using the RADEC learning model than those who studied with the style material inquiry learning model. The method used is a pre-experimental method with a quantitative approach with a one shot case study research design. The sample in this study were all fourth grade students at SDN Cijambu II. Class A collects 20 students using the inquiry model and class B collects 20 students using the RADEC model. The data collection technique in this study is a test technique used after learning takes place (posttest) to see higher-order thinking skills. The results showed that t_count = 3.137 and t_table = 2.024. So t_count > t_table, then H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted so that there are differences in students' higher-order thinking skills using the RADEC model with the inquiry model. Based on the average posttest results, the RADEC model scored (75.50) while the inquiry model (59.50). The higher-order thinking skills of students who use the RADEC learning model are better than the high-order thinking abilities of students who study with the inquiry learning model in style material in class IV SDN Cijambu II, Tanjungsari District, Sumedang Regency, in the 2021/2022 academic year.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low critical thinking skills of students. One way that is expected to improve students' critical thinking skills is to use the RADEC learning model assisted by animated videos. The purpose of this study was to determine the size of the influence of the RADEC learning model assisted by animated videos on students' critical thinking skills on the human digestive system material in class V SDN Cijambu II.The research method used is a pre-experimental method with a quantitative approach. The research design used is one-group pretest posttest. The data collection technique in this study was a test technique consisting of a pretest (pretest) and a final test (posttest). The sample in this study were all students of class V SDN Cijambu II, totaling 30 students.Based on the results of the t-test calculation, the tcount value is 16.66 > ttable 1.699, so H1 is accepted and Ho is rejected. Based on the results of the n-gain calculation, an average of 0.51 was obtained in the medium category and based on the results of the effect size calculation, a value of 1.67 was obtained with the large category. Thus, it can be concluded that the RADEC learning model assisted by animated videos has a major effect on students' critical thinking skills on the material of the human digestive system in class V SDN Cijambu II, Tanjungsari sub-district, Sumedang district in the 2021/2022 school year

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the Problem Based Learning learning model on the critical thinking skills of fifth grade students of SDN Manangga, South Sumedang District. The method used in this research is pre-experiment using one group pretest-posttest design. The sampling technique in this study was total sampling. The sample in this study were 30 fifth grade students. The data collection techniques used were observation techniques and test techniques. The instruments used were observation sheets for the implementation of the learning model and critical thinking skills test questions. Data analysis techniques in this study are validity test, reliability test, difficulty test, normality test and t test, data analysis in this study was assisted by Microsoft Excel 2019. Based on the processing of the observation sheet for the implementation of the learning model, a percentage of 82% was obtained in the practical category. The t test results obtained a value of 22.58> 1.70 or t count> t table , then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, meaning that there are differences in students' critical thinking skills before and after using the Problem Based Learning learning model assisted by motion audio visual media. This can be seen based on the average posttest result of 75.33 while the average pretest value is 55.00. Based on the average value, the posttest average is greater, meaning that the posttest is better. It can be concluded that there is an effect of the Problem Based Learning learning model assisted by motion audio visual media on students' critical thinking skills in learning science material on natural events in grade V students of SDN Manangga.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low argumentation skills of students, which are marked by not being accustomed to expressing their opinions. One way to improve students' argumentation skills is to use a problem-based learning model assisted by interactive videos. The purpose of this study was to describe the influence of the problem-based learning model assisted by interactive videos on the argumentation skills of grade IV students of SDN Jatihurip, Sumedang Utara District, Sumedang Regency in the 2023/2024 academic year on the material of Gravitational Force. The method used in this study was a pre-experimental type of one group pretest-posttest design. The data collection technique in this study was a test technique consisting of a pretest and posttest. Based on the results of data analysis through the t-test, the t-value is 3.16 ≥ t-table 2.01, so H1 is accepted and Ho is rejected, meaning that there is a significant difference in pretest and posttest values from the application of the interactive video-assisted problem-based learning model on the argumentation skills of grade IV students of SDN Jatihurip, Sumedang Utara District, Sumedang Regency in the 2023/2024 Academic Year on the material of gravitational force. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of the interactive video-assisted problem-based learning model has a significant effect on the argumentation skills of grade IV students of SDN Jatihurip, Sumedang Utara District, Sumedang Regency in the 2023/2024 Academic Year on the material of gravitational force.

Abstract

The research was undermined by the low oral activity and HOTS ability of students at SDN Sukasirna. One attempt to improve oral activity and HOTS ability of students is by using the learning model of RADEC. The research is aimed at finding out how to enhance oral activities and ability of HOTS IPA single and mixed substances through the RADEC model. This research uses the Class Action Research method (PTK). The research design used the Kemmis & Mc Taggart model carried out in two cycles, each cycle consisting of planning, implementation of observation and reflection. SDN Sukasirna's fifth grade of 29 students were the subject of his research. Observation techniques and test techniques are data collection techniques for this research. Model implementation sheets, oral activity observation sheet and evaluation tests become research instruments. The data analysis resulted that using the RADEC learning model, the percentage of oral activity in cycle 1 reached 69% with medium criteria and cycle 2 increased to 87% with very high criteria. The HOTS ability of students is also improved which is visible from the student's learning intensity in cycle I to 72% of the students who are in high school and at cycle II to 90%. Based on these findings, the conclusion can be drawn that the RADEC learning model can improve oral activity and the ability of HOTS students to learn single and mixed IPA materials.
