Using a descriptive exploratory method, data was collected through observation, scheduling, structured interviews, and documentation study techniques. The research was carried out at TK LabSchool UPI Campus in Serang. The research subjects comprised the school principal, teachers, parents of students, and counselors. The data obtained were analyzed qualitatively using an interactive model that included data display, reduction, and generalization. The study's results revealed the following findings: (1) The school-based family counseling conducted at TK LabSchool UPI Campus in Serang is a formal activity in psychotherapy intervention using a family system perspective, implemented in the school using school facilities and infrastructure. Each session is conducted in the form of a dyad (consisting of one parent and one child), a triad (two parents and one child), or a small group (two parents, one child, and one or more relatives outside the nuclear family). Counseling is carried out with attention to individual rights and informed consent, usually conducted in more than one session, and is not a parent conference or parent consultation. (2) The school must meet several requirements before implementing SBFC. (3) The study on the implementation of SBFC at the early childhood education level raises several considerations and challenges for future research.

Confident students tend to be active in the learning process, while less confident students tend to be passive in the learning process. This study aims to describe the self-confidence of the students of the State Elementary School of Gunungdatar, Cimanuk District, Pandeglang Regency through the role-play learning method and describe the causes of students being confident and not confident. This study uses a qualitative approach with the method of narrative inquiry. The research subjects in this study were sixth-grade students at the State Elementary School of Gunungdatar. The data collection in this research applies observation, interview, and documentation techniques in the form of field notes, inter-research text, and storytelling. The resulting data were analyzed by means of codification and restoration. This research reveals that the things that make students confident are fun and interesting learning situations and things that cause students not to be confident are students do not have confidence in their abilities. When appointed by the teacher and become the center of attention of their friends, it makes them not confident to show their learning abilities. Through the learning process using the role-play method, it can be seen that students begin to dare to express themselves during the learning process, dare to express opinions, dare to ask questions, and respect and correct each other if their friends do something wrong.

Abstract

This study explores the emotional experiences of preschool teachers during the implementation of learning evaluations. Utilizing a qualitative phenomenological approach, the research captures the lived experiences of 18 preschool teachers in Banten, Indonesia. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and observations from April to December 2023, employing snowball sampling to ensure relevant expertise. Thematic analysis revealed that teachers predominantly experienced positive emotions, such as pride, joy, and gratitude, during the planning and preparation of evaluation instruments. However, negative emotions, including anxiety and discomfort, emerged during the implementation and follow-up stages. These negative emotions were often linked to concerns about meeting educational targets and managing classroom dynamics effectively. The study identifies that positive emotions were associated with the perceived importance of evaluation planning and successful execution, while negative emotions were connected to fears of underperformance and external pressures. These findings highlight preschool teachers' complex emotional landscape, emphasizing the need for professional development programs focusing on emotional regulation and stress management. The study's implications suggest that fostering a supportive school environment can enhance teachers' well-being and effectiveness, ultimately benefiting student outcomes. Limitations include the small, geographically limited sample and reliance on self-reported data, which may introduce bias. Future research should expand the sample size, incorporate diverse geographical locations, and utilize mixed-methods approaches to comprehensively understand teachers' emotional experiences. Such research would enable the development of more effective support strategies for educators, contributing to improved educational practices and teacher satisfaction.

Abstract

Humans will use these language skills to develop communication skills that will be used in interacting with other people. One communication skill that is no less important is speaking skills. In addition to students' lack of vocabulary, their lack of confidence in speaking and assessing English as a difficult subject makes speaking a difficult language skill. It is hoped that this research can make a contribution to the world of education, especially in designing learning plans that are tailored to the characteristics and abilities of each student. This research uses the PTK (Classroom Action Research) method. This research will use 2 classes, namely class 4/1 ESC MUDS Thailand and class 4A SDS Nurul Arafah. From this research it was found that the English communication skills of Thai students were 80%, while Indonesian students were still less than 50%. From the application of this role play method, students become accustomed to role playing activities using English. The effects that occur on students are student courage, student self-confidence, student voice volume, vocabulary, understanding, fluency and other aspects of students increase. , the sense of cooperation with group friends was more visible in the second cycle compared to the first cycle because students were getting used to working in groups. This can be seen from the results of observations by researchers and observers in each cycle.

Abstract

This Community Service (CS) contained training and mentoring for all teachers and education personnel at the Laboratory Elementary School of UPI Serang Campus. The purpose of this CS is to provide basic knowledge and skills to teachers and education personnel about the prevention and handling of school bullying. The implementation of CS activities is carried out through three main stages. The first stage was an initial survey, aiming to gather information about the demographics of the participants and understand their level of understanding about bullying. This information became the basis for designing training that suited the needs of the participants. The second stage was the training to provide both insights and practical skills that can be applied immediately, which consisted of two main sessions: a session focused on introducing and understanding different forms of bullying, so that participants were able to recognise the signs and effects of this behaviour; and a session provided practical guidance to effectively respond to and deal with bullying in the school environment. The final stage was a final survey to evaluate participants' perceptions of the training materials that had been delivered as well as to formulate a follow-up plan for the workshop in form of lectures, brainstorming and interactive discussions to ensure the sustainability of the programme. The results of the training showed that the education units consisting of teachers and education personnel involved had a better understanding of the concept of bullying. They are expected to follow up on this activity by developing bullying prevention programmes in their respective schools, thus creating a safer and more inclusive learning environment.

Abstract

This study aims to explore trends in research methods used in the study of bullying in early childhood education settings. Using content analysis of 40 articles published between 2014-2024. The findings show there is an increasing trend of research on the theme of bullying in early childhood education settings. Descriptive qualitative research is the most widely used method. The results revealed that bullying is influenced by individual factors such as aggressiveness and lack of empathy, families with authoritarian parenting and domestic violence, and schools that lack supervision and have a permissive culture. The impact includes physical, mental, social, and emotional disorders, including depression, low self-esteem, and difficulty interacting. Lack of intervention in schools, as well as the normalization of violence in mass media and digital content, further exacerbates bullying behavior by increasing children's aggressiveness. Therefore, the role of teachers, parents, and communities is crucial in creating a safe environment through anti-bullying policies, social emotional skills training, and interventions for victims and perpetrators.
