Abstract

This study aimed to evaluate the effect of Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi (AMF) and Mutiara fertilizer on the growth and production of yardlong bean (Vigna sinensis L.). The research was conducted at the experimental field of Universitas Pembinaan Masyarakat Indonesia using a randomized block design with two factors: AMF doses (0, 5, 10, and 15 g/plant) and balanced NPK Mutiara fertilizer (0, 5, 10, and 15 g/plant). Parameters observed included plant length at 14, 21, 28, and 43 days after planting (DAP). Statistical analysis revealed that neither AMF nor Mutiara fertilizer, individually or in combination, significantly affected plant length during any observation period. However, a growth trend was observed, with the highest combination dose (15 g AMF + 15 g Mutiara) producing the tallest plant length of 3090 cm at 43 DAP. These findings suggest a potential synergistic effect between biofertilizers and chemical fertilizers in supporting plant growth, though not statistically significant. Further research with greater replication and more sensitive experimental design is recommended to validate these preliminary findings. Keywords: agrotechnology, balanced fertilization, long bean, mutiara fertilizer, mycorrhizal fungi

Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the effect of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) and NPK fertilizer, both individually and in combination, on the growth and yield of shallot (Allium ascalonicum L.). The experiment was conducted using a Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with two factors: AMF (0, 5, 10, and 15 g/plant) and NPK fertilizer (0, 15, 30, and 45 g/plot), each replicated three times. Observed parameters included plant height, number of leaves per plant, number of bulbs, bulb diameter, and fresh bulb weight. Data were analyzed using ANOVA and further tested with Duncan’s Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at a 5% significance level. The results showed that the interaction between AMF and NPK fertilizer had no significant effect on all observed parameters. However, certain combinations such as 10 g AMF with 30 g NPK and 15 g AMF with 30 g NPK tended to yield higher averages in bulb number and weight compared to single treatments. The use of AMF has potential to improve nutrient uptake efficiency and support more sustainable shallot cultivation. Keywords: shallot, arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi, NPK fertilizer, growth, yield

Abstract

Peanut plants in Indonesia are the most important agricultural commodity after soybeans, playing a strategic role in national food security as a source of protein and vegetable oil. The type of research method used in this study employed an experimental design called the Randomized Block Design (RBD) with a 4 x 4 factorial pattern and 3 replications. The factors studied included the effect of biofertilizer CMA and NPK fertilizer. The total treatment combinations were 4 x 4 = 16 combinations. The data source in this study consisted of primary data, which is data obtained directly from the source by conducting research experiments directly in the field. Data collection techniques were through observation and direct research experiment results in the field. The results of the variance analysis showed that the use of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (CMA) biofertilizer had a significant effect on plant height, number of branches, pod weight per sample plant, and pod weight per plot. Keywords: CMA fertilizer, NPK fertilizer, peanuts

Abstract

Japanese cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.) is one of the popular horticultural commodities due to its high nutritional value and benefits for health and beauty. However, the continuous use of chemical fertilizers to increase production can lead to environmental degradation and a decline in soil quality. Therefore, sustainable and eco-friendly cultivation innovations are needed, such as the use of organic fertilizers like cattle manure bokashi and biofertilizers such as Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi (AMF). This study aimed to determine the effect of cattle manure bokashi and AMF application on the growth and yield of Japanese cucumber plants. The research was conducted experimentally using a Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with a combination of bokashi and AMF treatments. Observed parameters included stem diameter, number of fruits per sample, fruit weight, and fruit length. The results showed that the application of bokashi and AMF, both individually and in combination, had a highly significant effect on plant yield. The best combination treatment was able to optimally improve both the quality and quantity of Japanese cucumber production. Keywords : bokashi, CMA, japanese cucumber, organic fertilizer, growth, production

Abstract

Potatoes have high nutritional value, making this plant widely cultivated in various regions in Indonesia. In Indonesia, this potato commodity has a fairly important role to be used as a material for household business industries, often also used as processed foods and made into flour and chips in large industries. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of providing liquid organic fertilizer from tomatoes and the provision of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi on potato plants at the acclimatization stage. This study was conducted in the IP2TP greenhouse (Berastagi Agricultural Technology Research and Assessment Installation), in Tongkoh, Dolat Rayat District with an altitude of ± 1340 meters above sea level. The research period began in September to December 2023. The results of the study showed that the provision of Liquid Organic Fertilizer (POC) Tomato (T) had a significant effect on tuber diameter and no significant effect on the number of tubers and tuber diameter. The best treatment was T2 (200 ml/L of organic fertilizer), and the application of Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi (AMF) (C) had no significant effect on tuber number and diameter, with the best treatment being C2 (10 g AMF/plant). Keywords: potato, AMF, tomato organic fertilizer

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of applying Jadam Microbial Solution (JMS) and liquid NPK fertilizer, both factorially and in combination, on the growth of mustard greens (Brassica juncea L.). The experiment was carried out using a factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD) consisting of two factors. The first factor was JMS application with four levels (J0 = 0 ml/l water, J1 = 100 ml/l water, J2 = 200 ml/l water, J3 = 300 ml/l water), and the second factor was liquid NPK fertilizer with four levels (N0 = 0 ml/l water, N1 = 10 ml/l water, N2 = 15 ml/l water, N3 = 20 ml/l water). Each treatment combination was repeated three times, resulting in 16 treatment combinations. The results showed that JMS application had a significant effect on plant height and number of leaves at all observation times (7, 14, and 21 days after planting/DAP), indicating improved vegetative growth and yield. Liquid NPK fertilizer application also significantly affected plant height and number of leaves at all observation times. The combination of JMS and liquid NPK fertilizer had no significant effect during the early growth stage (7 DAP), but showed significant effects on plant height and number of leaves at 14 and 21 DAP. These findings indicate that factorial application of JMS and liquid NPK fertilizer can enhance the growth of mustard greens, while their combination is effective at certain vegetative growth stages. Keywords: Brassica juncea L., jadam microbial solution, liquid NPK
