Abstract

The FaceNet model is one of the deep learning-based face recognition methods capable of transforming facial images into feature vectors (embedding) that represent the unique identity of each individual. In previous studies, this model is often combined with classification methods such as Support Vector Machine (SVM) or K-Nearest Neighbor (K-NN). Although accurate, these approaches require high computation and complex inference processes, making them less suitable for applications that require fast response and efficiency, such as real-time attendance systems. This research proposes an alternative approach using cosine similarity to compare similarity between face vectors. Cosine similarity measures the similarity of two vectors based on the angle between them, with values ranging from 0 (not similar) to 1 (identical). The system was developed by combining FaceNet and cosine similarity models, without any additional classification. Test results showed that faces registered in the system produced cosine similarity values between 0.83 and 0.96 (closer to 1 indicates a high match), with an average of 0.90, while unregistered faces had values between 0.42 and 0.67, with an average of 0.53. By setting the threshold at 0.7, the system successfully differentiated between recognized and unrecognized faces with 100% accuracy on 30 respondents. This approach significantly reduces the computational burden, enables implementation on devices with limited specifications, and provides a practical and accurate solution for face recognition-based digital attendance systems.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the level of usability in the Industrial Practice Information System (SIPI) using the System Usability Scale (SUS) method in the Informatics and Computer Engineering Department, UNM. This research is a type of quantitative descriptive research, the data collection techniques used are questionnaires, interviews and documentation. The subjects of this study were students of the Informatics and Computer Engineering Department, class of 2021, who were taken using nonprobability sampling using the saturated sampling method totaling 60 people. The difference between this study and several previous studies is in the method used and the determination of the SUS score, which is not only from 3 aspects, namely acceptability, grade scale, adjective rating, but also with percentile rank and analysis of respondent responses. From the results of the analysis, it was found that the level of usability in the Industrial Practice Information System (SIPI) using the System Usability Scale (SUS) method, namely the SUS score of 60 with a percentile rank value of 29%, with a grade scale that falls into the category "D", for the adjective rating is in the category "Ok" which means that the usability of SIPI is quite decent. Furthermore, the acceptability ranges aspect is in the category "Marginal" which means that SIPI can be marginally accepted/can be accepted with conditions by users. From the results of the analysis of user responses to the SUS questionnaire, it is known that the usability aspects that still have a low percentage value are the memorability and learnability aspects. Thus, SIPI can be accepted by users however, improvements or developments are still needed to optimize the use of the system, especially in the usability aspect which has a low percentage value, namely memorability and learnability.

Abstract

Abstrak. Jagung merupakan salah satu komoditas strategis di Indonesia, namun produktivitasnya sering terkendala pada tahap pascapanen. Di Desa Manjapai, Kecamatan Bontonompo, Kabupaten Gowa, petani masih menggunakan metode pemipilan manual yang memerlukan banyak tenaga, waktu lama, serta berisiko tinggi terhadap kerusakan biji. Kondisi ini berdampak pada rendahnya efisiensi, meningkatnya biaya operasional, serta turunnya kualitas dan harga jual jagung. Melalui program pemberdayaan masyarakat, ditawarkan solusi berupa penerapan mesin pemipil jagung berbahan bakar gas (LPG) yang sederhana, ekonomis, ramah lingkungan, dan mudah dioperasikan. Mesin ini memiliki kapasitas pemipilan 300–500 kg per jam, dengan biaya operasional sekitar Rp16,7/kg, sehingga mampu menghemat hingga 44% biaya dibandingkan penggunaan mesin berbahan bakar bensin. Program ini tidak hanya berfokus pada inovasi teknologi, tetapi juga mencakup pelatihan operasional, perawatan mesin, serta manajemen usaha tani bagi kelompok mitra. Diharapkan, penerapan mesin ini dapat meningkatkan produktivitas, mempercepat distribusi hasil panen, menekan biaya produksi, dan pada akhirnya meningkatkan pendapatan petani. Secara lebih luas, program ini berkontribusi terhadap pencapaian Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), khususnya pada aspek pengentasan kemiskinan, ketahanan pangan, pekerjaan layak, serta inovasi teknologi di sektor pertanian. Kata Kunci: Jagung, Pascapanen, Mesin Pemipil, LPG, Pemberdayaan Petani

Abstract

This research aims to (1) Knowing the results of testing on the development of school information systems at SMA Negeri 17 Gowa, and (2) assess the effectiveness and practicality of the developed school information system at SMA Negeri 17 Gowa. This type of research is Research & Development (R&D). The development was carried out using the prototype model. The results obtained from the research are a system that can be used by the community and students of SMA 17 Gowa. This system has undergone software testing using ISO 25010, encompassing several aspects such as (1) Functional Suitability, achieving a score of 95.83% (very suitable); (2) Performance Efficiency, based on software testing using performance overlay tools, the average GPU and UI (CPU) usage indicators showed a green line, indicating normal results; (3) Compatibility, where multiple applications running simultaneously showed that both could operate well; (4) Usability, tested with 30 respondents using a random sampling method, achieved a score of 86.58%, categorized as very good; (5) Reliability, in tests covering good operational levels of the system and ease of access; (6) Maintainability, the testing showed that the system is in a very good category; (7) Portability, in this aspect, testing on several types of smartphones with different Android versions ran well without issues; (8) Security, testing yielded a security score of 65/100. The conclusion from these results is that the software has passed system evaluation and is deemed suitable, ready to be handed over to users and put into use.
