Abstract

Business ethics is an important topic in the context of the modern business world. Poor business ethics can contribute to labor oppression, exploitation of natural resources, environmental pollution, and human rights violations. Conversely, good business ethics can build consumer trust and company reputation. The company is also expected to have social responsibility towards the community and the surrounding environment. Writing online about business ethics has the advantage of reaching a wide audience, raising public awareness, and influencing public opinion. Community service activities aim to foster entrepreneurial awareness of the importance of business ethics, encourage attitude and behavior change, inspire discussion and reflection, and build collaboration networks. The method of community service activities involves identifying target groups, studies and research, writing opinion writing, and publication in online media. It is hoped that this activity can have a positive impact and encourage the adoption of better business ethics among the community.

Abstract

Local communities have increasingly become players that have significant roles in the tourism sector, utilizing their unique cultural and natural resources to attract visitors and stimulate local economic growth. Village-Owned Enterprises (BUM Desa) play a crucial role in driving sustainable tourism development by allowing local communities to actively participate in managing and benefiting from tourism activities. However, effective financial management within these enterprises remains a critical aspect that requires attention and improvement. This journal manuscript presents the outcomes of a community service activity conducted to address the financial management challenges faced by Village-Owned Enterprises in the tourism sector. The community service activities involved a series of workshop sessions aimed at providing practical guidance and insights to BUM Desa representatives. These sessions were supplemented by the publication of a book titled "Financial Management of Village-Owned Enterprises in the Sector of Tourism" and an article in the mass media platform Kumparan about the workshop activities. Through these efforts, local communities were equipped with the necessary tools and knowledge to make informed financial decisions, optimize revenue generation, and mitigate financial risks. By improving financial literacy, we can unlock the full potential of local tourism, leading to sustainable economic growth, social empowerment, and enhanced community well-being.

Abstract

This community service activity discusses the importance of financial literacy in managing company finances effectively, especially in the face of inflation. In the era of globalization and rapid economic change, people and entrepreneurs are required to have adequate knowledge and skills in facing these financial challenges. Community service activities are explained as an effective method to improve their financial literacy in the face of inflation. The method of community service activities includes three concrete steps. First, the identification of financial literacy needs is carried out through a literature review to understand economic conditions, financial literacy information, and challenges faced by the public and entrepreneurs in facing inflation. Second, the writing and collection of previous articles and textbooks is carried out in a language that is easily understood by the general public and contains relevant information and workable solutions. Third, these articles are published in popular online media such as Kumparan to facilitate public access to information and knowledge about financial literacy. In the results and discussion section, financial literacy needs were identified based on the level of understanding of financial management policies, awareness of the importance of financial literacy, information and education needs, and availability of resources. Furthermore, it describes financial management policy steps that can be taken in dealing with inflation, such as financial risk identification, financial risk analysis, planning responses to risks, implementing these responses, and evaluating implementation results. The discussion also emphasized the importance of monitoring the company's financial performance through financial ratios. The closing of the article provides suggestions for further community service activities. Overall, this activity underscores the importance of financial literacy in the face of inflation and provides practical guidance for entrepreneurs and the public in managing company finances.

Abstract

Sumber Mata air Dlopo telah menjadi sumber pemenuhan kebutuhan air bagi masyarakat sekitar selama bertahun–tahun. Menurut DLHKP Kabupaten Kediri ada kemungkinan terjadinya krisis air bersih di sekitar sumber mata air Dlopo. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui 1) Debit air di sumber mata air desa Karangrejo Kecamatan Ngasem Kabupaten Kediri. 2) Kualitas air pada sumber mata air Dlopo Desa Karangrejo Kecamatan Ngasem Kabupaten Kediri. 3) Potensi sumber mata air Dlopo untuk memenuhi Kebutuhan domestik masyarakat Desa Karangrejo. Adapun permasalahan mitra diantaranya: 1) Rendahnya SDM masyarakat dalam pengembangan desa wisata 2) Tata kelola kelembagaan desa wisata yang tidak baik 3) Rendahnya optimalisasi produk lokal (makanan, kerajinan, kesenian) 4) Tidak adanya perencanaan partisipatif dalam pengembangan desa wisata. Adapun solusi yang ditawarkan diantaranya: pertama, peserta pendampingan pengembangan desa wisata Dlopo akan ditingkatkan kapasitas sumber daya manusia-nya melalui pelatihan pemasaran, motivasi berwirausaha, dan kemampuan dalam membuat perencanaan untuk skala pendek, menengah, dan panjang. Kedua, kelembagaan desa wisata harus dibentuk melalui perbaikan kelembagaan dan terbentuknya inisiasi pembentukan BUMDES sebagai payung hukum pengembangan desa wisata. Masyarakat Desa Dusun Dlopo harus diberikan semangat dalam pengembangan desa wisata yang tinggi sehingga dengan adanya perencaaan pengembangan desa wisata tersebut dapat terwujud seperti yang diharapkan oleh masyarakat. Sasaran kegiatan ini adalah pengelola desa wisata Dlopo, perangkat desa Karangrejo dan masyarakat di Dlopo, dalam mengatasi permasalahan tersebut maka metode yang digunakan supaya program dapat berkelanjutan adalah dengan melakukan pelatihan, implementasi, pendampingan, dan jejaringan.

Abstract

Pengabdian masyarakat merupakan bagian integral dari tridharma perguruan tinggi, di mana dosen berperan aktif dalam mendukung dan membangun masyarakat melalui berbagai kegiatan. Program Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) yang dilakukan di Bangkalan, Jawa Timur, bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan manajemen keuangan di kalangan generasi muda, khususnya pelajar. Kegiatan terdiri dari pelatihan dan penyuluhan yang menyasar sektor pertanian, peternakan, perdagangan dan UMKM. Selain itu, program ini diintegrasikan dengan konsep Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) untuk memberikan pengalaman langsung kepada mahasiswa sebagai fasilitator. Metode pelaksanaan PKM meliputi survei kebutuhan, pengembangan materi pelatihan, pelaksanaan pelatihan di SMA 1 Bangkalan, serta evaluasi dan pendampingan pasca-pelatihan. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui kuisioner, sesi tanya jawab, dan pemantauan berkelanjutan terhadap penerapan praktik manajemen keuangan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan peserta dalam pengelolaan keuangan usaha desa. Topik pelatihan mencakup perencanaan dan penganggaran keuangan, pelaporan keuangan, analisis keuangan, pengendalian internal, transparansi dan akuntabilitas, serta strategi pendanaan dan pembiayaan. Metode pengajaran interaktif seperti kuliah, studi kasus, diskusi kelompok, dan latihan praktis digunakan untuk memperkuat pemahaman peserta. Tantangan yang dihadapi selama lokakarya termasuk literasi keuangan yang rendah dan keterbatasan waktu. Untuk mengatasi ini, fasilitator menggunakan bahasa sederhana dan memberikan dukungan tindak lanjut melalui sumber daya tambahan dan program mentoring. Program PKM mendukung indikator kinerja utama perguruan tinggi dalam pengabdian kepada masyarakat dan pembelajaran mahasiswa yang relevan dengan kebutuhan nyata di lapangan. Rekomendasi untuk penelitian lebih lanjut dan kolaborasi dengan pemangku kepentingan terkait diharapkan dapat meningkatkan keberlanjutan dan efektivitas pengelolaan keuangan usaha desa di masa mendatang.

Abstract

The issue of low financial understanding among teenagers, particularly students at the junior high school level, is a significant concern in shaping a generation that is financially literate and responsible. This community service activity aimed to improve financial literacy and inclusion through age-appropriate and practical financial education. The methods included interactive socialization, educational counseling, and pocket money management simulations in the form of a workshop. The partner institution was SMP Insan Cendekia Mandiri Boarding School Sidoarjo, with 45 seventh-grade students participating. Evaluation was conducted using pre- and post-tests, along with observation of students’ active engagement during the training sessions. The results indicated a 68% increase in students' understanding of basic financial management concepts, as well as enhanced soft skills in budgeting and distinguishing between needs and wants. This activity demonstrated the effectiveness of educational approaches in preparing teenagers to face future financial challenges.
