Abstract

During the puerperium, anemia can occurs in mothers who had lower than nor-mal hemoblobin levels. This condition could caused iron loss, onterfere with the lactatio process, anda cause the uterus to fail to contract because not enough blood enters oxygen to the uterus. The strongest factor causing post partum ane-mia was blood loss during delivery, both moderate and large. Events that cause the mother to lose moderate to large amounts of blood, nameli interventions dur-ing labor such as episiotomy, delivery using a vacuum; third or fourth degree perineal laceration; and caesarean section. The provision of non-drug therapy that can be given to increase hemoglobin levels was to provide iron containing nutrients. The research aim to determine the effect of bangun-bangun leaf  juice on hemoglobin levels for postpartum mother in the Working area of Puskesmas Talun Kenas. This research was a type of quantitative research that is quasi-experiment. The population of this study is all postpartummothers in the work area of Puskesmas Talun Kenas. The samples obtained were 25 people with accidental sampling technique. The statistical test used was the paired sample t test, with a 95% confidence level (? = 0,05). The results of this study indicate that there is an effect of bangun-bangun leaf juice on hemoglobin levels in postpartum mothersin the working area of Puskesmas Talun Kenas (p vaue 0,000). So it was expected that the health center could informed the mother about the benefits of bangun-bangun leaf juice in increasing maternal hemoglobin levels during the postpartum period which can informed during antenatal care visits or during home visits for postpartum mother.

Abstract

Several measures to maintain life in cardiac arrest according to the American Heart, namely the application of a chain of survival, namely first aid when cardiac arrest occurs until treatment afterward. The rule of five is a rhythm calculation technique in chest compressions using the numbers 1,2,3,4,5, and 6 which adopts only 2 syllables. The purpose of this community service is to determine the ability of nurses to perform chest compressions based on the rule of five on the depth and frequency of chest compressions at Grandmed Hospital, Lubuk Pakam District, Deli Serdang Regency. The results of community service before being given a workshop show that nurses who perform chest compressions based on the rule of five to patients, namely all respondents have different percentage levels, namely good category as many as 7 people (23.3%), sufficient category as many as 14 people (46.7% ), and the less category as many as 9 people (30%). While the results obtained after being given a workshop show that nurses who perform chest compressions based on the rule of five to patients, namely all respondents have an increase in different percentage levels, namely the good category as many as 17 people (56.7%), the sufficient category as many as 9 people (30%), and the less category as many as 4 people (13,3%). The chest compression calculation system applied is the rhythm calculation system, namely and one, and two, and three, and four. If chest compressions are carried out properly and correctly according to the rules, compression pauses and consistency will create good tissue perfusion.

Abstract

Adolescence is a period when a person experiences a transition from child to adult which The incidence of delayed child development in Indonesia is 10%. This delay in growth and development is related to the baby's brain development, such as genetic factors, health and nutritional status, the quality of interaction between mother and child, and environmental conditions. Baby's motor development is a phase of baby's development according to age. The child's limited time in motor learning and excessive parental attention as well as low child motivation and stimulation are the triggers for delays. Tummy time is a type of stimulant that influences the motor development of newborn babies. Tummy time is useful in improving the baby's development in positions such as lying on his stomach or back, rolling over, crawling, and preventing brachycephaly. PkM activities were carried out at the Pagar Jati Community Health Center where the PkM participants were mothers with toddlers who were determined using a total sampling method of 15 people. Implementation of PkM is carried out through socialization, demonstrations, discussions and questions and answers. To measure the initial knowledge and increase in knowledge of PkM participants before and after implementing PkM, pre and post-tests will be given. The PkM results show that Tummy time can influence the gross motor development of normal babies with a correlation value of 0.932 and a significance of 0.000. The average pre-test score for PkM participants was 5.6 and post-test was 7.7. If the differences are calculated, an average score increase of 2.1 is obtained, which means that this PkM activity succeeded in increasing the knowledge and abilities of PkM participants regarding tummy time and gross motor development.

Abstract

The quality of nursing services is a value for health services in society. Patients are consumers who always hope to receive good health services. Many incidents may occur if the nurse's workload is too high. To overcome the danger of patients falling, it is necessary to take action to reduce the risk of patients falling. So nurses will always try to prevent patients from falling by installing identification bracelets, triangular labels on patient mattresses, warning signs, adjusting mattress height, and mattress railings. Precautions must also be in accordance with SOP. Nurse workload is the allocation of working time in providing services. The high workload of nurses occurs due to the limited number of staff and uncertain job descriptions. This outreach activity will provide knowledge and courage to communicate about workload so that we can prevent the risk of patient falls. PkM activities were socialized using lecture, question and answer and discussion methods to PkM participants, namely 15 nursing staff. To measure changes in PkM participants' knowledge, pre and post-tests were given to participants. The PkM results show that PkM participants have experienced increased knowledge in preventing the risk of patient falls. Participants also have the courage to discuss with the leadership if the workload is too heavy so that they can get the best solution. Participants also become more diligent in processing their daily work.

Abstract

Introduction: Infant motor development is crucial because it bridges the movements that occur during life, produces perceptual information, provides a means to gain knowledge about the world, and allows social interaction. If the basic motor stage is not passed, then there will be obstacles in motor development. Early stimulation will be needed to optimize the growth and development of children according to their stages naturally. Tummy time is one obvious form of early stimulation for muscle tone, posture, and later development. Objective: To determine the relationship between tummy time and gross motor development of normal infants in the breastfeeding community in Denpasar. Methods: An observational study using an analytical cross-sectional study, involving 30 respondents from the breastfeeding mother community in Denpasar. Primary data was obtained through a google form using the WhatsApp blast. Data analysis used Spearman rank correlation test. Results: Showed a significant relationship between the variable doing tummy time and the variable gross motor development sitting in normal infants, whether it was seen from the strong or not the correlation (with very strong results because the correlation coefficient was close to 1), the significance of the correlation results was 0.000 (less than 0.01 and 0.05) and the direction of the correlation is positive. So, Ho is rejected and H1 is accepted. Conclusion: Tummy time is proven to have a close relationship with the achievement of normal infant gross motor development with reference to the ability to sit at the age of six months. Based on the results of the study, it is recommended to do tummy time as a form of stimulation to achieve gross motor development of babies that the public needs to know.

Abstract

Chronic kidney failure is irreversible damage to kidney function that requires kidney replacement therapy. Failure during hemodialysis therapy often occurs due to non-compliance. Actions taken for hemodialysis patients are regarding fluid intake. Compliance with limiting fluid intake is a key factor in determining the health level of hemodialysis patients. The research method used was cross sectional. The population were all chronic kidney failure patients in the Hemodialysis Room at Grandmed Lubuk Pakam Hospital with a total sample of 40 people taken using the purposive sampling method. The results showed that as many as 20 respondents or 50.0% were in the category of less compliant with limiting fluid intake. On the other hand, it showed that as many as 22 respondents or 55% experienced mild hyperlovemia. The results of statistical tests show that there is a relationship between compliance with fluid intake and the occurrence of hypervolemia in chronic kidney failure patients undergoing hemodialysis at Grandmed Lubuk Pakam Hospital in 2023 with a p-value of 0.000. If the patient is increasingly disobedient in limiting fluid intake in the body, the greater the fluid accumulation or hypervolemia will occur.

Abstract

Shivering after anesthesia is a recovery mechanism in the body due to negative side effects such as discomfort and pain due to stretching of the surgical scar, and increased muscle activity following increased oxygen demand. When a client experiences shivering, it is necessary to warm the body with heat therapy given to clients whose temperature is ? 36?C. A hot-pack is a closed package containing gel with a temperature of 40?C. The hot-pack will be given on the right and left inner arms for about 15 minutes. The type of research used is pre-experimental with one group Pre-test and Post-test design. The technique used in sampling in this study is non-probability sampling, in the form of Accidental sampling with a sample size of 20 respondents, while the instrument used in this study is an observation sheet. This study uses univariate and bivariate analysis. In this study, bivariate analysis was carried out using the Paired T-Test. Based on the Statistical Test conducted using the Paired Sample T-test method, the value obtained was p value 0.000 (? <0.05) which means Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. This means that there is an Effect of Giving Hot-Packs on the Degree of Shivering in Post-Caesarean Section Patients at Grandmed Hospital Lubuk Pakam. This study concludes that giving hot-packs reacts to skin receptors and channels the temperature effect on body heat so that it can reduce shivering.

Abstract

Fracture is a condition that causes continuous disruption to the bone or cartilage. Injuries occur in the bones, such as the upper and lower extremities, as well as the hip joints to the feet. Early mobilization is useful to help patients move faster and avoid complications. This activity includes changing positions, sitting, standing, and walking independently. Activity of Daily refers to a person's ability to carry out daily activities in order to meet their needs. A quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest approach without control was applied in this research. This design is useful for measuring the level of Activity of Daily before and after early mobilization. The sample was determined using purposive sampling so that a sample of 10 participants was obtained. The mean value increased from 6.10 to 11.60, meaning that there was a significant increase in Activity of Daily after early mobilization. The z value of 7.645 indicates a significant difference in the level of Activity of Daily before and after. The p value of 0.001 indicates that early mobilization can increase the level of Activity of Daily participants. It is expected that health workers can apply early mobilization therapy so that muscle stiffness does not occur.
