Abstract

Height detection is an exciting area of research with broad applications in fields such as construction, healthcare, and robotics, where measurements are still often done manually. This research aims to automate the height calculation process by developing a height detection system using image processing techniques, which offers improved accuracy and efficiency. The system that will be built works by capturing images of objects through a webcam and using the Russel Rao cluster analysis method to calculate height later. Borland Delphi 07 was chosen as the programming language because of its ability to handle image-processing tasks. This research draws on a thorough literature review of various books and articles, with the system operating in stages, starting with converting images to grayscale to simplify the data for more accessible analysis and then followed by applying Russel Rao's method for height measurement. However, the system is sensitive to environmental factors around the object. The system will perform best when there are no other objects near the target because when there are other objects nearby, it can cause the measurement line to shift and interfere with the results. The detection system requires a controlled environment with no foreign objects nearby for optimal performance. Despite these limitations, Russel Rao's analysis method achieved an accurate detection accuracy of approximately 65%, with three out of eight sample tests yielding correct measurements. While this shows room for improvement if more relevant research is to be done in the future, this system will build a strong foundation for further development in this field. Future enhancements could focus on refining the algorithm to increase detection accuracy, make the system more resilient in dynamic or cluttered environments, and expand its potential applications in various fields.

Abstract

Purpose: The research aims to comprehensively understand how community services—such as disaster preparedness programs, public health initiatives, and social support systems—fortify urban resilience by addressing diverse urban challenges. Research Design and Methodology: Employing a qualitative research approach, this study conducts an extensive literature review to identify and analyze how community services contribute to urban resilience. The methodology involves thematic analysis and cross-case comparisons to synthesize findings from relevant literature. Findings and Discussion: The findings highlight that community services are pivotal in fostering social cohesion, enabling collective action, and providing essential resources, enhancing communities' capacity to withstand and recover from crises. Disaster preparedness programs improve emergency response and recovery times, while public health initiatives address health-related vulnerabilities and support overall well-being. Social support systems, including welfare programs and housing assistance, mitigate economic hardships and promote social inclusion. Implications: Implications of this study suggest that policymakers and practitioners should focus on enhancing community engagement, investing in community services, and developing innovative models for their integration and sustainability. Future research should explore the long-term impacts of community services on resilience and identify best practices for their implementation across diverse urban contexts.

Abstract

One of the impacts of the earthquake that hit Jayapura City in early 2023 was damage to buildings (houses and buildings). The ineffectiveness of the process of inventorying and identifying building damage is one of the obstacles faced by the Jayapura City BPBD, due to the limited number of personnel, the wide coverage of the painting area, and the inventory and discovery processes that are still being carried out manually. In addition, community knowledge about building damage and post-earthquake handling solutions is still limited. For this reason, an expert system is needed as a tool to carry out an inventory and help the level of damage to buildings along with recommendations for solving them quickly and precisely. This study aims to apply the Dempster Shafer method to diagnose earthquake damage to buildings. This method is a case approach technique used to measure a possibility that occurs based on a cause. For problem assistance using the Fishbone analysis method, system design using the Unifield Modeling Language (UML), and for testing using Black-Box Testing. The results of research using the Dempster Shafer method recommend three categories of building damage levels, namely light damage, moderate damage, and heavy damage. This study also recommends solutions for handling according to the type and level of damage to buildings experienced, so that the results of the inventory and damage assistance can be faster and more precise, and the community can be more vigilant in anticipating the arrival of aftershocks.

Abstract

Primary health care in Indonesia, especially in regions like Papua, faces major challenges in managing accurate, complete, and timely health data. At Puskesmas Kanda, data management is still done manually or semi-digitally using basic Microsoft Excel, which causes the recording and reporting process to be slow and error-prone. This condition has a negative impact on the quality of reports and data-based decision making by the management of the Puskesmas and the Health Office, contrary to the mandate of Permenkes No. 31 of 2019 concerning Health Information Systems. The purpose of this Community Service (PkM) activity is to increase the capacity of health workers at the Kanda Health Center in optimizing the use of Microsoft Excel for health data processing. The training provided included data validation techniques, the use of logical and statistical functions, the creation of visual graphs and dashboards, and the development of data recap templates that fit the real needs in the field. The results of the training showed significant improvement in participants' ability to manage and analyze health data efficiently. The evaluation showed a very high level of participant satisfaction with the benefits of the training (90%), the quality of the materials (89%), and the relevance to daily work needs (92%). With participatory learning methods and hands-on practice, the training successfully supported the digital transformation of health services.

Abstract

Liver disease is a significant health issue that requires early and accurate diagnosis to prevent serious complications. In this study, we propose an outlier filtering approach using the Interquartile Range (IQR) to enhance the performance of the Support Vector Machine (SVM) algorithm in liver disease classification. A publicly available liver dataset consisting of 1,700 patient records with various clinical attributes was used, and the IQR method was applied to detect and remove extreme values before model training. The SVM model employed the Radial Basis Function (RBF) kernel to capture nonlinear relationships in the data. The classifier was evaluated under two conditions: without and with IQR-based outlier removal. Performance metrics including accuracy, precision, recall, F1-score, and ROC-AUC were used to assess the model. The experimental results showed that the IQR-based preprocessing improved model performance, with the accuracy increasing from 84.41% to 84.74% and the ROC-AUC score rising from 92.08% to 93.28%. Notably, the recall for the negative class improved from 84.31% to 89.76%, indicating enhanced detection of healthy patients. These findings demonstrate that outlier handling using IQR can contribute to more stable and accurate classification outcomes, especially for models that are sensitive to data irregularities such as SVM.

Abstract

Klub Basket merupakan suatu organisasi untuk menyalurkan bakat dalam bidang olahraga basket dan untuk mengembangkan kualitas para pemain. Anggota Klub Basket berkembang ke arah profesional dan harus ditangani pula oleh seorang yang profesional. Hal ini mengharuskan pelatih untuk teliti dalam melihat bakat seorang pemain dan menentukan posisi yang sesuai dengan kemampuan yang dimiliki. Semakin  besar minat  para calon anggota untuk  ikut  bergabung  dengan  tim  basket di setiap tahunnya mengakibatkan  pemilihan  daftar  untuk masuk ke tim inti menjadi lebih sulit. Selain itu, skill pemain dengan kemampuan hampir setara satu sama lain berakibat pada sulitnya penentuan kombinasi pemain yang akan masuk ke dalam sebuah tim. Untuk penyelesaian masalah tersebut diperlukan system pendukung keputusan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Promethee  yang merupakan metode penentuan urutan atau prioritas dalam MultiAtribut Decision Making (MADM).   Promethee digunakan untuk menentukan dan menghasilkan keputusan dari beberapa alternatif. Penelitian ini menghasilkan sistem pendukung keputusan yang dapat membantu  pelatih dalam pengambilan keputusan penentuan pemain inti tim bola basket secara akurat dan objektif

Abstract

Saat ini Kota Jayapura mengalami perkembangan di berbagai bidang, khususnya bidang pelayanan publik yang meliputi sarana pendidikan, sarana kesehatan, sarana keamanan, sarana komunikasi, pariwisata, industri dan instansi pemerintah. Lokasi masing-masing pelayanan publik tersebar hampir di seluruh wilayah Kota Jayapura dan masyarakat kesulitan untuk menemukan lokasi pelayanan publik tersebut. Perlu adanya sebuah Sistem Informasi Geografis yang menyediakan informasi dan lokasi pelayanan publik yang ada di Kota Jayapura kepada masyarakat. Metode pengembangan waterfall digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Penelitian ini menghasilkan Sistem Informasi Geografis Pemetaan Pelayanan Publik yang digunakan sebagai sarana informasi dan memudahkan masyarakat dalam pencarian lokasi pelayanan publik yang terdapat di Kota Jayapura.

Abstract

Dalam era perkembangan teknologi informasi yang pesat, penerapan sistem digital dalam pendidikan menjadi sangat penting, terutama dalam layanan bimbingan dan konseling yang memainkan peran krusial dalam mendukung perkembangan siswa. Namun, sistem pengelolaan bimbingan konseling manual sering menghadapi kendala seperti keterbatasan dalam manajemen data dan kurangnya integrasi antar fungsi, yang berdampak pada penurunan kualitas layanan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan sistem informasi bimbingan konseling berbasis web dengan menggunakan metode Feature-Driven Development (FDD). FDD dipilih karena kemampuannya yang berfokus pada pengembangan berbasis fitur, memungkinkan pembangunan sistem yang komprehensif dan dinamis. Melalui FDD, setiap fitur inti dari sistem, seperti pengelolaan data pelanggaran, penjadwalan bimbingan, penilaian konseling, dan pembuatan laporan, dikembangkan secara iteratif dan bertahap, sehingga meminimalkan risiko dan memastikan integrasi yang baik di setiap tahap. Penerapan pendekatan FDD menghasilkan sistem yang diselesaikan dalam 4 bulan dengan 4 iterasi, sesuai jadwal yang direncanakan. Pengujian usability menunjukkan hasil yang baik dengan rata-rata nilai 90%, mengindikasikan bahwa sistem ini tidak hanya fungsional tetapi juga mudah digunakan dan diterima dengan baik oleh penggunanya.

Abstract

Kabupaten Puncak merupakan salah satu daerah yang memiliki persentase penduduk miskin yang tinggi, sehingga menyebabkan kebutuhan dasar mereka belum terpenuhi, salah satunya adalah perumahan yang layak huni. Penduduk Kabupaten Puncak masih mendiami rumah honai atau rumah adat Papua yang terbuat dari kayu dan beratap rumbia, dan hanya sebagian kecil yang mendiami rumah kayu beratap seng dan dihuni oleh lebih dari satu keluarga. Program bantuan Rumah Tidak Layak Huni (RTLH) telah dilaksanakan oleh Pemerintah Kabupaten Puncak. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, penentuan calon penerima bantuan rumah tidak layak huni dilakukan secara manual, yaitu ditentukan berdasarkan rekomendasi dari desa atau kecamatan sehingga penetapannya tidak tepat sasaran. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, diperlukan suatu metode yaitu Metode Multi-Attribute Utility Theory (MAUT). Metode MAUT digunakan untuk mencari jumlah bobot nilai yang sama pada setiap utilitas di setiap atribut, sehingga menghasilkan rekomendasi calon penerima Rumah Tidak Layak Huni (RTL) yang tepat sasaran berdasarkan kriteria.

Abstract

Penyakit kulit pada hewan peliharaan merupakan permasalahan yang kompleks dengan berbagai jenis dan gejala yang sering kali sulit didiagnosis secara manual. Tantangan seperti kemiripan gejala antar penyakit, ketidakpastian data, dan biaya pengobatan yang tinggi menjadi hambatan bagi pemilik hewan dalam memberikan perawatan yang tepat. Oleh karena itu, tujuannya penelitian ini dilakukan yaitu mengembangkan sistem pakar berbasis metode Dempster-Shafer yang dirancang untuk menangani ketidakpastian dalam proses diagnosis. Sistem ini memungkinkan penggabungan informasi dari berbagai gejala yang diinput oleh pengguna untuk menghasilkan tingkat keyakinan yang akurat terhadap jenis penyakit tertentu. Sistem pakar yang dikembangkan berbasis website sehingga mudah diakses kapan saja dan di mana saja oleh pengguna. Sistem ini dirancang untuk membantu pemilik hewan mengenali gejala penyakit, mempercepat proses konsultasi, serta memberikan panduan awal terkait langkah perawatan yang diperlukan. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian menggunakan metode black box testing, seluruh fitur sistem berfungsi sesuai dengan spesifikasi yang dirancang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem ini mampu memberikan hasil diagnosis, serta rekomendasi perawatan yang relevan, sehingga layak digunakan sebagai alat bantu dalam mendiagnosis penyakit kulit pada hewan peliharaan.
