Abstract

This study aims to investigate the use of the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) method on the learning outcomes of procedural text writing among 11th-grade students in Multimedia 3 at SMK PUI Gegesik for the academic year 2022/2023. The hypothesis, in this case, H0 is rejected, and Ha is accepted. Therefore, it demonstrates the effectiveness of teaching procedural text writing using the CIRC method among the students at SMK PUI Gegesik for the academic year 2022/2023. The study employed an experimental approach with a pretest-posttest control group design. Data collection included tests and observations of both teachers and students during the procedural text writing lessons, which were utilized to determine the effectiveness and engagement of the CIRC method. Based on observational data, it was evident that students were more active and their procedural text writing skills improved compared to their previous performance when using the CIRC method. The analyzed test results showed that the average learning outcomes for the control group were 66.8, while for the experimental group using the CIRC method, it was 82.6. The t-value was 6.044, and the t-table value was 1.677. Consequently, the t-value (6.044) exceeded the t-table value (1.677), leading to the rejection of H0 and acceptance of Ha. This indicates the effectiveness of teaching procedural text writing to 11th-grade students in Multimedia 3 using the CIRC method at SMK PUI Gegesik for the academic year 2022/2023.

Abstract

This research investigates the application of Instagram social media to enhance poetry writing skills among Class X students at SMK YAPIN Kertasemaya during the academic year 2022/2023. The study, focusing on 14 students in the ASKEP class, addresses the identified deficiency in poetry writing proficiency within the school. The research aims to answer two key questions: 1) How does the application of Instagram social media impact learning in poetry writing? 2) What is the effect of Instagram social media on the improvement of learning outcomes in poetry writing? The research employs a classroom action research methodology, with 14 Class X students as subjects. Data collection involves observations and tests conducted in two cycles. The findings reveal a notable enhancement in the process of learning poetry writing skills. In Cycle I, the average test score was 70, and it increased to 73 in Cycle II, indicating a positive progression. Consequently, the research concludes that the implementation of Instagram as a learning tool effectively improves poetry writing skills among Class X ASKEP students at SMK YAPIN Kertasemaya, influencing positive behavioral changes in the students' approach to writing poetry.

Abstract

The advancement of globalization in today's society has had a negative impact on the manners and ethics of students. As a result, education plays a crucial role in shaping the character of students, particularly in terms of moral values. This study aims to examine the moral values depicted in the novel "Pudarnya Pesona Cleopatra" by Habiburrahman El-Shirazy and explore its potential as a learning resource in novel-based education. The research adopts a qualitative approach, focusing on the moral values portrayed in the novel. Data collection involves reading and writing methods. The findings reveal that the novel "Pudarnya Pesona Cleopatra" encompasses three main moral values: 1) individual morals, which pertain to one's relationship with oneself, 2) social morals, which involve interactions with others, and 3) religious morals, which encompass one's relationship with God. These three categories are further divided into 19 specific moral values, including honesty, never give up, sincerity, responsibility, firm stance, hard work, mutual love, parental concern for their children, parental obligations, children's affection for parents, helping, respecting each other, willing to sacrifice, respecting each other, advising, not imposing the will of others, always grateful, surrendering and praying, resulting in a total of 41 moral values. The outcomes of this study can be utilized as a valuable resource for teaching Indonesian language in the twelfth grade of high school, specifically in the context of Basic Competence (KD) 3.9, which focuses on analyzing the content and language of novels.

Abstract

This study analyzes linguistic politeness in social interactions at Darul Ma'arif Kaplongan Islamic Boarding School, Indramayu, using a qualitative descriptive approach. The objectives are to identify forms of linguistic politeness, analyze influencing factors, and evaluate its impact on the quality of social interactions in the Islamic boarding school environment. Data collection methods include participant observation, in-depth interviews, documentation, and focus group discussions, with analysis using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldana. Results show dominant forms of linguistic politeness include the use of Krama Inggil Javanese, polite second-person pronouns, controlled intonation and voice volume, and religious expressions. Influencing factors include social hierarchy, Islamic values, students' cultural backgrounds, and school rules. Linguistic politeness implications include character formation, social relationship harmonization, increased learning effectiveness, and preservation of traditional values. In conclusion, linguistic politeness in Islamic boarding school environment functions not only as a communication tool but also as a means of character education, tradition preservation, and creation of a harmonious social environment. This research provides important insights into the role of linguistic politeness in the context of traditional Islamic education.

Abstract

The study involved X grade students from SMK Nasyrul Ulum Gegesik during the 2022/2023 academic year. The experimental class had 30 students from X TBSM 4, while the control class had 29 students from X TBSM 3. The study aimed to improve students' poetry writing skills in class X at SMK Nasyrul Ulum Gegesik during the 2022/2023 academic year. The research questions focused on the effectiveness of the jigsaw model for teaching poetry writing to X TBSM students and the differences in learning activities using the jigsaw model. The study used a quantitative quasi-experimental design, with data collected through observations and pretest/posttest assessments. The statistical analysis showed that the jigsaw method was effective for teaching poetry writing to X grade students at SMK Nasyrul Ulum Gegesik during the 2022/2023 academic year. The observations also indicated increased student engagement in learning to write poetry texts using the jigsaw method.

Abstract

The world of literature, particularly the novel, serves as an indispensable contribution that delves into the profound aspects of the human experience. Literary psychology, as a branch of literary studies, delves into the intricate psychological facets experienced by characters within novels. In this context, Sigmund Freud's psychoanalytic theory identifies three fundamental elements of inner conflict: the Id, Ego, and Super Ego. Simultaneously, the emotional classifications elucidated by Albetrine Minderop encompass emotions such as guilt, self-punishment, shame, sadness, hatred, and love. This research endeavors to reveal and dissect the emotional classifications delineated by Albetrine Minderop. Employing qualitative descriptive research methodology, this study aims to scrutinize the conditions, circumstances, or aspects previously delineated, with the findings presented in the form of a comprehensive research report. The analysis within this study revolves around the inner conflicts experienced by the central character in Pramoedya Ananta Toer's novel, "Gadis Pantai." This research offers an intriguing perspective through the lens of literary psychology, providing a platform for new perspectives and insights.

Abstract

In this era of increasingly rapid development, the influence of social media extends to the educational progress of students, particularly at the high school and equivalent stages. From the start, some of their morals became increasingly declining. Therefore, the author is very interested in providing examples of moral values that have been found in the novel “Hello” Karva Tere Live as reference material for students so they can get a view of what morals they should have. The study utilises a qualitative approach to examine the moral values portrayed in the novel “Hello” by Tere Liye. Data gathering involves using the library method, which includes reading and note-taking. The findings of the study identify four different aspects of moral values depicted in the novel “Hello” by Tere Liye: 1) Connection between individuals 2) Interaction between individuals and God 3) Connection between individuals and others 4) Connection between individuals and the surrounding nature. The four moral values are broken down into 18 (eighteen) moral values as follows: 1) expressing care for others 2) helping others in a mutually beneficial manner 3) negotiating to reach an agreement 4) living in harmony 5) courtesy 6) respect for others 7) keeping promises 8) gratitude 9) problem solver 10) responsibility 11) humility 12) confidence 13) honesty 14) patience 15) patience 16) hardworking 17) reducing waste 18) improving the environment. This research contributes to the preparation of Indonesian language learning modules for XII grade SMA / SMK students who are studying content analysis and novel language.

Abstract

This research aims to reveal the human values in the script of the drama Mega-Mega by Arifin C. Noer through a humanistic psychology approach. The main focus of the research is to answer the question: How do the struggles of the characters in the drama reflect the five levels of human needs according to Abraham Maslow's theory of the hierarchy of needs? These five needs include physiological needs, a sense of security, social relationships, rewards, and self-actualization. The drama Mega-Mega depicts the lives of marginalized groups who struggle to maintain dignity amid social, economic, and political pressures. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with text Panutysis, identifying the manifestation of Maslow's needs in the behavior and dialogue of the characters. The results show that the conflict in the drama is not only external, but also reflects an existential crisis and the search for meaning in life. Characters like Mae, Koyal, and Retno experience the process of self-actualization through struggle, emotional attachment, and efforts to maintain dignity. Thus, Mega-Mega is not only a social critique, but also a reflective mirror of humanity's struggle in extreme conditions. This study offers a new perspective on the script through the lens of humanistic psychology, which was previously rarely used in the Panutysis of this drama.

Abstract

Dalam proses pembelajaran Pendidikan Jasmani Kesehatan dan Olahraga (PJOK) pada tingkat Sekolah Dasar dan Menengah, diharapkan siswa sebagai pusat pembelajaran atau Student Centered Learning (SCL) sesuai dengan tuntutan dari Kurikulum Merdeka (KM). Salah satu strategi pembelajaran yang berbasis SCL dapat menggunakan Sport Education (SE). Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk memberikan sosialisasi perencanaan implementasi SE dalam pembelajaran PJOK sebagai pendukung Kurikulum Merdeka. Metode dalam kegiatan ini terdiri dari: sosialisasi dan perencanaan, pelatihan dan pelaksanaan, penerapan teknologi, pendampingan dan evaluasi, dan keberlanjutan program. Hasil kegiatan ini memberikan dampak kepada peningkatan pengetahuan, pemahaman, dan perencanaan implementasi SE dalam pembelajaran PJOK sebagai pendukung Kurikulum Merdeka. Kekurangan dari kegiatan terkait dengan bagaimana cara penilaian atau evaluasi pembelajaran menggunakan sport education di tingkat Sekolah Dasar dan Menengah.

Abstract

ABSTRAKTradisi Aurodan Jamaah Tarekat Asy-Syahadatain di Cirebon adalah bagian dari tradisi lisan dalam bentuk ritual pertunjukan, yang merupakan zikir berbunyi nyaring bersama dengan nyanyian puisi nadhoman Cirebon. Aurodan mencerminkan budaya Islam Cirebon yang lembut, terbuka, dan toleran sebagai produk akulturasi dari beberapa budaya, yaitu Jawa, Sunda, Arab, dan bahkan budaya lain di Cirebon. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan fungsi tradisi lisan Aurodan komunitas Jamaah Asy-Syahadatain di Cirebon. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif yang meneliti objek dalam kondisi alam, untuk menemukan makna dan generalisasi, di mana peneliti sebagai instrumen utama dalam metode penelitian. Penelitian ini dirancang untuk menggambarkan, menganalisis, mengungkap, dan menjelaskan fungsi tradisi Aurodan Asy-Syahadatain Cirebon. Penelitian ini menggunakan data dasar yaitu fungsi tradisi lisan Aurodan Asy-Syahadatain Cirebon. Pengumpulan data tenik dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara, studi dokumen. Hasil penelitian ini menemukan beberapa penjelasan tentang fungsi tradisi Aurodan cirebon yang sangat penting dalam kehidupan sosial dan dapat diangkat sebagai salah satu warisan budaya Cirebon yang memiliki ciri khas sebagai budaya khas pesantren yang menjaga kelestarian budaya dan kearifan lokalnya.Kata kunci: Tradisi lisan, Aurodan, fungsi, Asy-Syahadatain CirebonABSTRACTThe Aurodan tradition which is held by Jamaah Tarekat Asy-Syahadatain in Cirebon is part of an oral tradition in the form of a ritual performance, which is a dhikr that sounds loud along with the singing of the Cirebon nadhoman poetry. Aurodan reflects the soft, open and tolerant culture of Cirebonese Islam as an acculturation product of several cultures, namely Javanese, Sundanese, Arabic, and even other cultures in Cirebon. This study aims to describe the function of the Aurodan oral tradition of the Jamaah Asy-Syahadatain community in Cirebon. This research is a qualitative study that examines objects in natural conditions, to find meaning and generalization, where the researcher as the main instrument in research methods. This study was designed to describe, analyze, uncover, and explain the function of the Aurodan Asy-Syahadatain Cirebon tradition. This study uses basic data that is the function of Aurodan Asy-Syahadatain Cirebon oral tradition. data collection technique is conducted by observation, interview, document study. The results of this study found several explanations about the function of the Aurodan cirebon tradition which are very important in social life and can be appointed as one of Cirebon's cultural heritages that has a characteristic as a typical pesantren culture that preserves its cultural preservation and local wisdom.Keyword: Oral Tradition, Aurodan, function, Asy-Syahadatain Cirebon
