Abstract

Kulit Rambutan merupakan salah satu limbah organik yang belum dimanfaatkan secara optimal. Dalam permasalahan lingkungan, sampah organik juga menjadi permasalahan saat ini. Meskipun sampah organik merupakan limbah yang dapat terurai, akan tetapi limbah organik juga perlu dikelola agar penumpukannya dapat terkendali dan tidak mencemari lingkungan. Tujuan Penlitian yaitu untuk menganalisis hasil formula zat warna alami yang dihasilkan dari limbah kulit rambutan terhadap penerapannya pada kain dengan teknik Shibori (Tie dye) dan Batik. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif, yaitu dengan mengeksplorasi warna yang dihasilkan oleh larutan limbah organik kulit rambutan pada karya tekstil, dengan melakukan uji coba tehadap bahan kain katun dan berbagai larutan fiksasi yang digunakan, seperti larutan tawas (KAI(SO4)212H2O), kapur (Ca(OH)2) dan Tunjung (FeSO4). Uji coba juga dilakukan terhadap teknik dalam membuat motif, seperti shibori (tie dye) dan batik. Hasil menunjukan bahwa limbah kulit rambutan menghasilkan larutan yang dapat digunanan sebagai pewarna alami dan dapat diaplikasikan kedalam beragam teknik shibori (tie dye)  dan batik dengan fiksasi tawas yang memiliki nilai kualitas lebih baik dibanding menggunakan fiksasi tunjung dan kapur, sehingga dapat menjadi sebuah media  dalam berkreasi seni khususnya pada bidang tekstil.

Abstract

People with mental disorders have difficulty finding work, even though they have gone through rehabilitation. Providing vocational training is an effort to help them gain skills to be independent. The evaluation process is very important to carry out in order to see the challenges and successes of the training. The aim of this research is to evaluate vocational training, especially stamp batik skills, through reactions and learning with participants with mental disorders. The research method uses qualitative with a case study approach in batik training with stamping techniques for people with mental disorders at the Jiwa Layang Foundation in the category of residual schizophrenia. The results of the training showed that in the evaluation of the participants' reactions in following the entire training were in the very good category, even though the participants were less focused in paying attention. Meanwhile, at the learning evaluation stage, participants got results in the good category. However, participants were less skilled in making stamping tools. The use of the learning by doing method is a success factor, such as the teaching method used, the work process is carried out in groups and mentoring by instructors. Instructors and assistants must be able to maintain participants' enthusiasm which tends to decrease due to fatigue due to long periods of time. Participants still have to work in groups because making batik requires working in groups

Abstract

In particular, the quality of learning is determined by a teacher’s abilities. Professional teachers undoubtedly canprovide learning creatively. They must be able to see the situation within the limitations of teaching media needs byutilizing existing resources. Training teachers is essential to improve teachers’ abilities in providing creativelessons to students, especially in creativity-based learning. The Community Empowerment aims to train high schoolteachers in mix-and-match exploration of stamped and tie-dyed batik in arts and culture subjects. The entire seriesof P2M activities are carried out using a Learning-by-doing approach, a demonstration method, and video tutorials.The training takes place in the Betawi pavilion of SMAN 109 South Jakarta. The training results showed thatparticipants were able to complete the entire training series well, even though there were several obstacles. Fromthe results of the work analysis, on average, the participants produced work of excellent quality, so teachers areexpected to be able to teach batik skills to students in their respective schools in arts and culture subjects.

Abstract

Karya seni yang berasal dari masa lalu terkadang memiliki nilai historis yang mencerminkan kehidupan masyarakatnya. Kain ikat kepala khas Cirebon yang berada di Museum Tekstil Jakarta menyimpan berbagai cerita melalui visualnya yang terus di jaga hingga saat ini melalui konservasi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji motif kain ikat kepala khas Cirebon yang ada di Museum Tekstil Jakarta secara visual. Metode penelitian menggunakan kualitatif  deskriptif dengan pendekatan semiotika visual. Sehingga simbol dan makna yang ada pada motif-motif tersebut dapat diungkapkan melalui identifikasi dan analisis. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi dan dokumentasi. Dalam penelitian ini, terdapat dua kain ikat kepala sebagai objek penelitian yaitu ikat kepala motif Macan Ali dan motif Sawat. Kedua kain tersebut didapatkan dari sumbangan GP. Mangkunegoro VIII pada tahun 1976 dan dibuat dengan teknik batik. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa motif pada kain ikat kepala Macan Ali memvisualkan simbol Keraton Cirebon dan keislamannya dengan beberapa motif kaligrafi tawhid. Sedangkan pada kain ikat kepala motif Sawat merupakan kain yang berasal dari pengaruh Jawa-Hindu dengan motif sayap garuda, pohon hayat dan meru dan lidah api sebagai simbol kosmologi kehidupan.

Abstract

The presence of Toki Batu music in Ulahahan Village as a cultural product cannot be separated from the musical narrative of the Maluku people, which has been part of social and cultural life since ancient times. This study aims to explain the concept of inclusiveness within the group and its functional role in society as an inclusive music community. The research method uses a descriptive qualitative with an ethnographic approach. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. The study results explain that the concept of inclusiveness in the Ulahahan Babatu Orchestra community lies in membership open to people from various backgrounds, both children and adults. The Community also does not provide special requirements to be able to join the group because Toki Batu’s music belongs to the Community, and anyone should be able to contribute. The leadership style used is based on local culture by adopting respect for elders. As a result, the leader is someone who is older and more experienced in community management rather than someone who has mastered music. Functionally the role of the Toki Batu music community revives community creativity and influences collectively in various fields such as recreational, educational, communication and religious facilities.

Abstract

Dalam dunia pendidikan, guru merupakan seorang pendidik yang mempunyai tanggung jawab untuk meningkatkan kreativitas anak didiknya, khususnya dalam pembelajaran kreatif seperti seni dan budaya. Kualitas seorang guru seni budaya ditentukan oleh kemampuannya dalam menguasai keterampilan khusus yang dapat diajarkan kepada peserta didik sehingga guru perlu meningkatkan keterampilannya agar menjadi pendidik yang profesional. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas pelatihan shibori menggunakan pewarna alami kulit rambutan dengan peserta guru seni budaya SMA se-Jakarta Barat sebagai upaya meningkatkan keterampilan. Metode penelitian menggunakan kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus pada pelatihan shibori di SMA Negeri 94 Jakarta. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan seluruh peserta mampu menciptakan karya shibori sesuai tahapan yang telah diajarkan. Hasil penilaian keterampilan menunjukkan rata-rata skor peserta sebesar 3,6 dengan kategori sangat baik. Proses pengikatan merupakan bagian yang sangat penting dalam menghasilkan motif pada kain, sehingga memerlukan keahlian khusus dalam mengikat kain. Beberapa peserta mengalami kegagalan akibat proses pengikatan yang kurang kuat. Pemanfaatan pewarna alam berupa ekstraksi kulit rambutan dapat menjadi salah satu alternatif guru dalam mengajar kepada siswa di sekolahnya masing-masing karena ramah lingkungan dan mudah didapat.

Abstract

Natural dyes come from natural sources through certain processes used in several arts and crafts to produce environmentally friendly products. This research aims to conduct experiments on applying natural dyes to woven pandan products in Tipang Village, North Sumatra Province. This aim was to develop sustainable methods for woven pandan leaf products. The research method uses an experimental process with a practice-led research approach to applying natural dyes in the context of arts and crafts. Experimental samples were obtained by staining using a type of mordant group, namely tegeran and tingi wood extraction, as well as a container group from fermented tarum leaves (Indigofera). The number of samples used was 6, with 1 sample without color, two with tegeran wood dye, two with tingi wood, and 1 with arum leaves. The analysis and evaluation process uses visual analysis assisted by greyscale image assessment via the Matlab application. The findings show that the application of natural dyes of the mordant group with fixation using lime has a more intense and even color quality with an R.G.B value of around 0.5 - 0.6 or an index value of around 135 -143. Meanwhile, natural dyes in the vessel class have uneven colors, so further experiments must be conducted to produce good colors. Thus, natural dyes from the mordant group can be applied to woven products made from pandan leaves.

Abstract

Festival budaya menjadi salah satu kegiatan yang dilakukan sebagai promosi budaya dan penguatan identitas bagi suatu daerah. Kesuksesan suatu acara kegiatan dapat dilihat dari jumlah pengunjung yang hadir, sehingga pentingnya bagi pengelola untuk melakukan strategi dalam pemasaran. Salah satu strategi dalam pemasaran yaitu melalui bauran pemasaran atau Marketing Mix 7P (Product, Place, Price, Promotion, People, Process, and Phsycal Evidence). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis bauran pemasaran dalam kegiatan seni budaya Festival Banjar di Jakarta. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus tunggal. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara semi terstruktur, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis dilakukan dengan tiga tahap yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa Festival Banjar menggunakan bauran pemasaran sebagai strategi untuk menarik pengunjung dan melancarkan kesuksesan acara tersebut. Festival Banjar memiliki strategi dan cara pemasaran melalui setiap variabel dari 7P untuk mempromosikan budaya Banjar dan Dayak Meratus. Misalnya dalam variabel product, mereka menjelaskan secara rinci apa yang mereka tawarkan terkait kegiatan seni budaya dan kemudian didukung oleh variabel lain seperti Place, Price, Promotion, People, Process, and Phsycal Evidence sehingga acara dapat berjalan dengan baik. Oleh karena itu, bauran pemasaran menjadi salah satu bagian yang turut andil dalam menghubungkan antara kegiatan dengan calon pengunjung sebagai sasaran pasar. Marketing Mix in the Banjar Festival Arts and Culture Activities in Jakarta ABSTRACT Cultural Festivals are one of the activities carried out to promote culture and strengthen identity for a region. The success of an activity event can be seen from the number of visitors who attend, so it is important for managers to carry out marketing strategies. One strategy in marketing is through the marketing mix or Marketing Mix 7P (Product, Place, price, Promotion, People, Process, Physical Evidence). The aim of this research is to describe and analyze the marketing mix in the arts and culture activities of the Banjar Festival in Jakarta. The research method uses qualitative with a single case study approach. Data collection techniques use semi-structured interviews, observation and documentation. The analysis technique is carried out in three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results show that the Banjar Festival uses a marketing mix as a strategy to attract visitors and facilitate the success of the event. The Banjar Festival has marketing strategies and methods through each variable of the 7Ps to promote Banjar and Meratus Dayak culture. For example, in the product variable, they explain in detail what they offer regarding arts and culture activities and then support it with other variables such as Place, Price, Promotion, People, Process, Physical Evidence so that the event can run well. Therefore, the marketing mix is one part that contributes to connecting activities with potential visitors as the target market.

Abstract

Pembelajaran seni rupa merupakan salah satu ilmu yang ada di dalam mata pelajaran Seni Budaya di sekolah. Dalam pembelajaran seni rupa, seseorang diajarkan untuk membuat sebuah karya dengan ekspresi, keterampilan dan imajinasi mereka sehingga menjadi pembelajaran berbasis estetika. Namun keterbatasan waktu belajar membuat para guru kesulitan dalam mengajarkan keterampilan yang membutuhkan waktu lama seperti membatik. Tujuan pelatihan ini yaitu untuk memberikan keterampilan membatik dan teknik ikat celup dengan sasaran peserta para siswa dan siswi SMA di wilayah Jakarta Selatan. Pelatihan membatik ini dilaksanakan dengan memanfaatkan limbah kertas karton sebagai bahan dasar pembuatan canting cap batik secara bertahap dengan tingkat kesulitan teknik yang berbeda. Kegiatan pembelajaran membatik dilakukan menggunakan pendekatan learning by doing dengan metode demonstrasi yang dikombinasi menggunakan video tutorial. Dari seluruh nilai rata-rata peserta mendapatkan nilai yang kompeten. Sehingga pelatihan ini dapat dikatakan berhasil, meskipun peserta masih harus belajar dengan tekun agar dapat meningkatkan kemampuan membatik cap dan ikat celup dengan baik.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to develop a glaze from palm oil solid waste ash. Oil palm plants were chosen because the ash of palm fronds, stems and trees have not been utilized optimally, only used as organic fertilizer and material for making furniture. This research is applied research involving expertise in the field of fine arts, especially ceramic art and chemical engineering, with an inquiry-based research approach. Laboratory tests (EDX Report) were carried out so that the process of modifying the ash glaze formula could be carried out more accurately. The output of this research is the palm oil solid waste ash glaze formula/recipe and ash analysis table along with test pieces of ash glaze trial results and ceramic work prototypes. In practice, organic ash cannot be used alone, but must be mixed with other ingredients so that it can potentially be processed into glaze. The glaze formula used in this research contains different mixtures of ingredients. In this research, organic ash was mixed with soil (Sukabumi and Kebumen) and ready-to-use frit glaze (F.107 and F.3T). Next, the ash glaze is burned at cone temperatures 5 and 6 (1150 0C–1200 0C). The test piece material used is Sukabumi clay which has been proven to be compatible with the oil palm plant ash glaze formula, resulting in a more varied, attractive, artistic and unique visual appearance of the work.
