Abstract

PT XYZ is a company engaged in the textile and garment sector. The problem that occurs is the accumulation of fabric raw materials in the warehouse due to excess inventory compared to the demand received. The purpose of this research is to determine the safety stock to prevent overstock. The research method consists of forecasting along with the parameters MAD, MSE, and MAPE as validation using POM QM software. In addition, production control is carried out using the min-max method to determine the amount of inventory required. The results of the study show that the company can use the exponential smoothing forecasting method with an alpha accuracy level of 0.7, which shows that the forecast for the next period is 6,315,349 yards with a MAD value of 1,278,671 and a MAPE value of 21.76%. Furthermore, the company can reorder (ROP) 2,721,298 yards, safety stock of 1,360,649 yards with a minimum inventory of 7,802,654 yards and a maximum inventory of 15,605,307 yards.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the production performance of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in rengginang production using the Quality Function Deployment (QFD) approach. Rengginang is a traditional Indonesian snack made from sticky rice, which has economic and cultural value but faces challenges in production consistency, hygiene, and capacity due to manual processing methods. The QFD method was applied to translate six key customer needs—such as production speed, hygiene, capacity, consistency, quality control, and product variation flexibility—into technical characteristics through the House of Quality (HoQ) matrix. Results showed that the most critical production need was achieving a drying process of no more than one day, followed by hygienic handling. These were translated into technical priorities such as high-speed drying machines and closed-drying systems. The relative weight analysis indicated that these technical improvements had a high impact on production performance with relatively moderate implementation complexity. This study provides MSME actors with a structured model to improve production efficiency and competitiveness based on customer-oriented planning. Keywords: Quality Function Deployment (QFD), House of Quality, MSMEs, Rengginang, Production Performance

Abstract

Di era teknologi yang berkembang pesat saat ini, penggunaan teknologi informasi, khususnya Microsoft Access sebagai Database Management System (DBMS), telah membantu Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) dalam pengembangan bisnisnya. Teknologi ini memberikan dampak signifikan dalam memproses data, mengelola transaksi, dan meningkatkan efisiensi operasional. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik wawancara dan observasi di Bani Cakes and Pastry. Penggunaan Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD) dan Query pada Microsoft Access digunakan untuk merancang hubungan antar entitas dan menghasilkan informasi relevan, seperti perhitungan pendapatan dan kinerja penjualan. Implementasi Microsoft Access menghasilkan hasil yang positif dalam mengelola data barang, penjualan, dan pendapatan Bani Cakes and Pastry. Terdapat relasi antar tabel yang memungkinkan pengambilan informasi yang holistik. Form-form seperti Form Data Barang, Form Supplier, Form Penjualan, dan Form Pendapatan mempermudah penggunaan database. Penerapan teknologi informasi, terutama Microsoft Access, memberikan kontribusi signifikan dalam pengembangan bisnis UMKM, seperti Bani Cakes and Pastry. Teknologi informasi membantu meningkatkan efisiensi operasional dan mengelola data dengan baik.
